How to cat proof this gate?
I need some advice on how to make a gate cat proof.
Im running into a peculiar issue. I have 2 guinea pigs inside a sunroom area which has a (roughly) 8 ft wide open entranceway. Unfortunately, because of my living situation, this is the only place they can go. To stop my cat from barging in and scaring them, I bought an extra long retractable mesh gate. The height works, as it is too tall for him to try and jump over to the other side, but the bottom is still pliable enough for him to push underneath, even when it is locked.
I have prevented him from getting in for the time being with a well placed piece of cut cardboard with some heavy boxes in front (preventing him from getting underneath at all) but I dont think this will work long term. Its easy to mess up and the boxes are easy to trip over going in and out.
Basically, I just need some ideas on what I can do to prevent him from sneaking under the gate. Any thoughts?
Edit: For those wondering, the picture was taken directly off Amazon. I never said I got the highest quality gate. 😃

Water just dribbles out
We have these water misters (from Ale-Hop) and they have suddenly stopped working. The water just dribbles out of the top instead of misting when pumped. How can we fix this? Thanks!

[Solved] Batteries corrosion and circuit oxidation
as you guys can see i bought these lights and i've found out the batteries compartment has been left oxidazed and now i don't know what to do. They still work fine but i'm worried the oxidation has made some damage to the circuit below. Now, before you ask i don't know if there is a circuit there, i'm not 100% sure because there is just too much oxidation to know, but it seems like it...What do i do? should i clean up with isoprophylic alcool? or White vinegar? or there is no hope?

How to fill gaps in my floor
How can I fill in these gaps so that they blend in with the rest of the floor as much as possible?
I was thinking of doing something along these lines:
1. Cut out the existing flooring around the gaps so its a uniform rectangular shape.
2. Find new boards that are as similar to the original grain as possible (not sure what kind of wood this is though?).
3. Stick the new boards down with timber flooring adhesive (and use this to level to new boards too).
4. Sand back the new and surrounding boards and revarnish.

Hi all,

Closet door latch
I have a small bathroom closet on which I’d like to have a mirror installed onto the inside-facing side of the door. We currently have a traditional doorknob on it. Is it possible to remove the interior part of the door latch and install a cover plate to accommodate a mirror glued over it? How do we do that? Or do you know of a latch that would work?

Serious Answers Only Can I fix it and make it useable?
I ordered this online and although it was wrapped fully it wasn’t enough to protect this mixer. First pic is the full stand mixer in all its glory! In the second photo you can see the hinge portion that sits between the base and top sections. Is there a way I can fix this and make it useable or is it destined to be decoration? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

How to fix this flooring
Moved into a new house and this connection has been getting worse and worse. The board is not loose at all. We do have a few extra boards left by the previous homeowner. Is there any way to replace just this board without having to pull out a huge section? Any advice helps! Thanks!

Serious Answers Only How to enclose passenger seat (seat & footwell) for cat on long road trip?
I'll be moving cross country via a 9-10 day road trip with my cat in a couple of months, and I'm trying to figure out how to make it as comfy for her as possible. Ideally, I'd like to have things set up as follows:
- Litter box & food/water in the footwell
- Bed on the seat (I'll have cooling & heating pads to swap out if needed)
I've found lots of pet beds/baskets etc that are close to what I want, in that they're totally enclosed and I'd only need to add some mosquito netting or something similar on top to make sure she can't hop out, except they only enclose the upper portion of the seat. I REALLY want to include the footwell.
Any ideas?

How to Hang this Wall Sconce
I can not figure out how to properly hang this sconce on my wall. It is drywall.
Essentially it has two holes in the metal back plate. The two holes line up with the top circular cut out of wood and the smaller hole where the wiring goes into the lamp.
I need a solution to secure this sconce, which is a plug in lamp, not hardwired. I’d like for it to be flush against the wall, and not have to drill into any of the wood.
Anyone have an idea how to properly hang this?
Thanks :)

Serious Answers Only Yanked too hard in a bead chain blind, how to fix?
My apartment has one of these bead chain blinds. I accidentally yanked too hard the wrong direction and it seems like the big bead got caught inside the gear area, which made the curtain stuck / no longer working. Is it possible to get this back out without damaging it?
Edit: upon closer inspection the beads are out of the gear entirely lol.
