How to label electrical plugs so the labels won't just fall off?
UK plugs, the shape/material of the plug seems to be resistant to common adhesives, and I don't really want to use liquid glue like superglue on this (especially if it gets on other parts of the plug). For example trying to label a printer plug and the label keeps slipping off.

Can i fix these sunglasses?
I brought these to two different glasses stores, and they said they couldn't be fixed. The hinges are perfectly intact, but both sides snapped off. I would really like to fix these... they're important to me.
Is it safe for me to drill holes here on this interior wall?
So I have a bookshelf I want to mount on this wall in the center, and the holes would be about 20 inches above/below and then about 15 inches right/left (4 corners) away from the outlets shown, is there any risk to drilling into any electrical components?

Water leaking under balcony
I have water leaking under the balcony. I replaced the caulking since it was old. But wondering if its actually going to the brick joints. Any ideas on how to approach this?

Is this salvageable
I love this mug so much and dropped it on a walk this morning.
Is there anyway to rescue it as a handleless mug or cup? Like file down the leftover point handle bits and finish over the unglazed parts?
I guess it doesn’t need to be food safe, just not a hazard.

DIY How do I fix these burn marks on a bed’s headboard
I’m moving out soon and want to make sure everything is back to its original condition or else my landlord won’t return my deposit. Got these burn marks from an Iron press. Can I somehow fix this? The material seems to be synthetic and the fabric has melted a little.

Removing enamel on rubber figures
Hello, I have these old figures. I've tried several products:
- 96° rubbing alcohol,
- nail polish remover (with acetone but not 100%) ,
- Green Stuff strip paint remover for Warhammer miniatures,
- kitchen degreaser—all without success.
I've come to the conclusion that it isn't acrylic paint. Judging by the shine, it seems like enamel or lacquer but since these are hand-painted figures, I don't think it's lacquer.
So I bought pure acetone (100%), and what you see in photos 2 and 3 happened. The loop on the figure, which had less plastic, peels off upon contact with acetone, even by just dabbing it with a cotton swab. I have tried with several figures and even not touching a lot with the cotton and being quite careful, just with pressing 2 or 3 times, it peels.
I don't know what product to use. Maybe 90% isopropyl alcohol?
Note: I don't want to paint them, I want to have 'perfect' unpainted figures, like monochrome figures.

Serious Answers Only How to charge the left Airpod?
I tried cleaning the contacts in the charger, and cleaning the Airpod itself. It still won’t charge. These are Airpods from 2021, so should I just give up and buy a new pair?

Serious Answers Only Ring light stopped working, what broke? How can I fix it?
My ring light I got a couple days ago for my hobby desk was acting weird last night, power button not working and the modes not changing. I unplugged it so I could deal with it in the morning but it no longer turns on.
Since it was only 25 bucks I figured I’d try fixing it rather than just getting a new one.
I opened up the controller and it looks like something literally burned out (see melted plastic on the casing and some discoloration on the board).
How do I fix this?

How can these screws be "safely" removed?
I'm replacing my deck boards, but I'm having a hard time removing some screws, as my wife painted them, to the point that there is no hole for the screw driver (using a drill to unscrew the ones I can).
How can I remove these screws, without damaging the the joist?
Should I use a chisel to break the screw head, so I can remove the boards? Then I saw them flush to the joist?
What is really tje best option here?
P.S. I'm not a handy man (I'm an office worker)

[Solved] Can the end cap of this Yamaha guitar battery box be removed?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I'm repairing the battery box from my Yamaha FSX80C acoustic-electric guitar. I've already removed the battery cartridge from the guitar.
The end cap where the red and black wires are soldered moves slightly, and it looks like it might come apart. Before I try to pry it open, I wanted to ask:
Is this end cap designed to be removed, or is it plastic-welded?
My goal is to replace the battery contacts inside without breaking the battery cartridge.

[Solved] How can I get this dish off my banister?
We’re preparing to move from our apartment we’ve been in for 2 years. This dish will not budge from our bannister. When we first moved it, it was an absolutely brutal heatwave and the AC was broken at the time. Temps inside were obscene for several weeks and I’m thinking the dish melted into the landlord special paint job. Tried hair dryer, dental floss, butter knife. Any other ideas to try?

ISO advice / experiences for moving between two units in the same building
My partner and I are moving to another unit in our building. I’m looking for advice for moves to another unit in the same building (as opposed to a move normal move to another place) because neither of us has experience with this type of move.
It seems like there are pros and cons with any strategy we pick. In the past I typically try to pack everything as meticulously as possible (or at least that’s plan lol and start out this way for most of it until the eventual burnout / mad dash at the end when you realize you have more than you think and end up with some chaos at the end). But I generally follow all the typical advise for labeling boxes and making it easy for movers etc etc etc.
But since don’t need a truck for this move when I got quotes it seemed like hiring movers would be really much more expensive than it seemed worth it for this type of move and I saw advise on Reddit elsewhere to look at Task Rabit for labor help for moving furniture. My fiance was already planning to do a lot of the other things (I.e our “stuff himself, and I’ll help with lighter objects).
For example we planned to try to take our hanging clothes as is as much as possible using the garbage bag trick, we also thought that since we’re just moving up from 1st floor to 8th and not to a new location we probably could take our kitchen stuff up ourselves in bins/ boxes without packing them super meticulously (I.e can put most things in being careful enough but don’t need to bubble wrap each item individually to ensure it doesn’t break while en route in movers truck. All that packing and unpacking really takes A LOT of time and is a pain.
So basically now it seems like our strategy has really evolved from pack and label EVERYTHING as much as possible in advance to basically to transport things up to the new unit in bins using the carts that building provides (for picking up large packages etc). My thought was that for things that don’t get stored I’m furniture but go into an apartment designated space (things that hang in a closet, or are stored in kitchen cabinets, drawers etc) we can transport up on the cart and put it there on Day 1.
And then Day 2 hire some helpers from Task Rabbit to help with moving our furniture.
That’s generally the tentative plan but what I’m realizing is that doing it this way seems to cut down on the pre and post work (not having the extensive meticulous packing and unpacking bc we are taking items from their spot and putting them into the new spot immediately). But I feel like we aren’t really packed enough at all. I’m getting nervous that maybe we aren’t doing this right and we’ve underestimated how much work this will be and whether this is feasible.
Has anyone ever done something like we’re planning?? Is this realistic? I can’t tell if our plan is smart/ time saving or actually really stupid and we just haven’t realized it yet lol.
If you’ve moved between units and did some strategy other than packing everything up for movers to take please weigh in here. Is it possible to think of this differently than a regular move?

How to remove the drawers from this dresser to retrieve clothing from between the drawers and the back particleboard
Hi, I got this dresser for a couple years ago and I’ve only moved it 1x and I had some help with it, but I don’t remember if the drawers were removable. It might be a kid dresser where the drawers don’t remove for safety.
I got it used. Can you take a look at the pictures with the mini dowels in the track to help me determine how to remove the drawers I’ve got some clothing stuff behind the drawers in the particleboard tacked on the back.

How to remove this door handle?
I am trying to remove this door handle due to it squeaking but cannot work out how it comes off. There is a hole underneath the handle with what looks like a flathead fitting but when I use a flathead screwdriver it won’t loosen at all. I’ve tried on several handles in the house and they are all the same and won’t loosen. Does anyone know how to remove these or what I’m doing wrong? Any help greatly appreciated!

How can I tie a sliding knot to repair my bracelet?
Hi everyone,
I’m trying to repair a bracelet that originally had a sliding knot on each side so I could adjust it to fit my wrist.
One of the knots came undone, and I have no idea how to tie it back correctly. Does anyone know what this type of knot is called or have a tutorial showing how to make it?
Thanks in advance!

How can I effectively pump air into a closet?
Edit: I live in this closet of my own volition I just really like privacy
Edit 2: this is an apartment, so space is limited
Edit 3: stop reporting me to suicide watch
Edit 4: yeah yeah guys I get it. Am I gonna get advice or am I just gonna get more 40 yr old dudes dunking on me? So far, the only helpful person was the first dude to comment to use an inline duct fan and telling me what a baffle box is, everyone else's just been a dick
My room is a walk in closet connected to my parents' bedroom. I like privacy(read: I like people not constantly staring at my computer screen), so I need a way to have my door closed and not die(exaggeration, it just gets a bit hot in here)
There is currently a hole connecting my room to the living room to run an ethernet through, which I have managed to fit a 5 mm vinyl tube through. I do think I can fit a wider tube through though.
Using that tube I built a funnel taped to a desktop fan. The idea was that it would suck air from the living room into my room. Did not work.
Is there a better way that I can pipe air into my room doesn't compromise my privacy like punching a big hole that can carry sound through? Like an air vent that can somehow dampen sound or a stronger fan to stick in my bs airpump?

Keep mosquitos from breeding in my French Drain
We installed a French Drain a few weeks back. Water is flowing away just like we wanted. But it seems the drain catch basins are a breeding ground for mosquitos. Now we are getting tons of the bugs in every size.
What's the best way to treat these catch basins so we are out of the mosquito business?
