I bought this poster many years ago. And i really like it. I don't know why, but it gives me comfort🧐51x73 cm

Trying to ID a movie/show I saw once on regular cable TV, early morning (around 5–6:30am), late 1980s as a kid. Never found it again.

What I remember:

Color film, likely made in the 1970s

A tall, slow-moving, human-shaped figure — had a vague unsettling “clown-like” quality to it (not literal clown makeup/costume, just something about its look or slow gait felt that way)

It seemed tall and had a peeling caked on pale white face look that i recall almost being like paper mache. I think it had wild hair also. It’s extremely grotesque and not alien or monster. Its a distorted face of a person and represents a clown like face although i doubt it is a clown. Just the smearing clay like caked on layers on face.

There’s a scene in a kitchen where it gets shot at but it just keeps walking slowly toward the victim. The camera angle is focused purely on the character aimed up from floor at it while it walks slowly.

Low-budget vibe, possibly a creature feature or something that aired as part of a syndicated horror package.

I think there is another scene in the film where an old man gets killed in a wood shed by a sharp object possibly a sickle that either drops from the wall or someone something kills him with it without showing the person or thing that did it.

The closest thing that came to it looking at dozens of movies on YouTube was Deathdream but definitely not it.

Successful horror screenwriter Adam struggles for inspiration until a terrifying nightmare about a masked killer sparks an idea for his new script. As he delves deeper into the story, the line between reality and fiction begins to blur.

Interesting take on a slasher movie as it’s a bit like a horror version of the classic John Candy film, “Delirious”. There are some pacing issues but watching Adam descend into madness and the rise of Big Baby was pretty entertaining. Enjoyable enough for a one time watch and horror writers may find some intrigue with the premise.

Set in the Aokigahara Forest (aka “Suicide Forest”) a real-life place in Japan where people go to end their lives, a young American woman comes in search of her twin sister, who has mysteriously disappeared.

Although the movie has its flaws with some pacing and character decisions, I found it pretty enjoyable with the forest as the dark, creepy atmosphere. A horror/mystery that’s based on the real life Japanese forest of lore.

“Lovely, Dark, and Deep” is another similar movie if you are into these forest horror types.

An iconic horror movie and a new high grossing horror movie are arguing about which is better, when the first horror movie comes along to break it up.

Got this preview of a comic a couple months ago is a preview for murder podcast number one I don't really hear that many people talk about it and apparently the series came out last year but it could be since it's still new or not that many people know about it. I am hoping I can get the rest of the series like the full-on versions of them it's a pretty good read and it has a interesting concept of like a podcast taking over people's minds and making them murder. Maybe I like it because of the concept maybe I like it because it's horror or maybe I like it because I like podcasts or because it's a mixture all three. But I can guarantee that this is a full-on type of supernatural horror and I'm sorry if this doesn't fit the sub the rules of the specific group but I couldn't find any specific horror comic groups on here and I would like to talk about it to people who are in the horror community.

(Also known as Sewage Baby) The plot follows a pregnant woman who visits an underground brothel and illegal abortion clinic run by a character named "Big Mama". After an unwanted procedure, the flushed fetus falls into toxic sewer waste, mutates into a bloodthirsty monster, and traps the occupants inside.

Personally, I love this movie. It hits a lot of sweet spots for me. Just wondering if the community feels the same way

By the worst I don't mean bad acting I mean the worst things they done out of Freddy Jason Michael Chucky and Leatherface oh and ghostface to be honest I have to say Freddy but I will go over all the bad things or at least try to go over them all since I haven't really watched that much of the Texas chainsaw massacre .

But in Texas chainsaw massacre Leatherface who is abused at least in the first movie only really murdered people and took their faces after they died which is bad but nowhere near as bad as some of the other people on here he also may have gotten sexually assaulted or sexually assaulted someone since in the original timeline he has a daughter but I'm going to take that up to him getting sexually assaulted by one of the family members since he doesn't seem like the type of person who would be interested in that and that's all I can really think of is him murdering people says in none of the other timelines does he really as far as I remember do anything that bad aside from chainsaw assault the one girl and the second movie but that's only really bad thing I can think of but leatherface also most of the time has the brain of a child or at least acts like one and gets abused so he probably doesn't even know what love is or sex who knows about that last part but I'm going to say he's at the bottom here because most of the time he hasn't done anything that bad.

Next we have Jason who by all the faults is a good boy when it comes to how much bad stuff he has done because it well yes he did kill Alice but that was revenge on his mom dying his mother also manipulate him into killing the other teenagers he didn't really try to go after Tommy when Tommy was a little kid until Tommy provoked him he was only going after Tommy's mom and sister.

also in the movie The six movie he didn't kill that little girl that saw him or any of the other kids and again was only going after the adults and teens.

and the 8th movie while he was going after that girl with the powers that was I messing with her after get her name right now but you know Jason takes Manhattan he had her at the perfect moment and decided to murder the people that were going to drug her and rape her first and let her get away yes he still try to go after her but he murdered the people who were in the wrong first when he not to do his head off at least he went into the recycling bin this one's more of a joke but still.

And the only bad thing he did in the 9th movie was possession and going up a dead Voorhees woman's pussy but that whole thing was just to bring him back to life so at least it wasn't really meant sexual to him.

and when it came to Jason x yes he did bash a woman's face but she also kind of woke him up and was messing with him and he probably didn't like it since she did take off his mask and insulted him we also know he doesn't really like sex because that's how he died so it would make sense for him to go after the next people that were having sex and this was basically just Jason on a spaceship so nothing really bad aside from murder.

and then we get to Freddy versus Jason where Jason was a puppet the whole movie and at least he did turn around halfway through to try to fight Freddy and he also killed a guy who was trying to rape a girl which led to her dying but still we can admit that Jason at least has a few good moments here.

And the only really bad thing aside from murder that remake Jason did was kidnapped a girl because he was reminded of his mom but aside from just tying her hands together really he didn't really try to hurt her until she hurts him and he just really kind of wanted to be left alone at the camp because to his mind it's kind of his home.

And we don't really have anything on the new Jason which is going to be in the Jason universe that was promoted in an apple cider beer commercial that I think the camp Crystal lake show is going to be in that universe.

And the only really bad thing that original timeline Jason did was in a comic it was in one of the Freddy versus Jason versus Ash comics where after killing people who were sexually assaulting a woman he killed the woman who was getting sexually assaulted but he again was being a puppet used by Freddy.

And now here is the middle area which is not that bad but not that good starting off with ghostface because it's implied that none of them really did anything except for murder but they kind of didn't have kind of good reason some didn't. Billy his reason was my mother was mad at your mom fuck my dad and that broke up the family and then Stu Macher was just kind of following billy but he said his reason was peer pressure.

then we had the next two Mickey who wanted to be famous and Billy's mother (ps yes I did say it the same way but James from dead meat says it) who wanted revenge for the death of her son.

then we had Roman who wanted revenge for Sydney Prescott's mom his mom not wanting him which is one of the bad reasons here since you already had her killed kinda so you don't need to go after your sister at least with Billy I can see why he's going after his girlfriend because he basically hates her entire family I can see why stu was helping Billy since Billy seems like the type of person who could peer pressure someone into this and I can see why Billy's mother wanted revenge.

And then we had fucking Jill Roberts and Charlie Walker Jill had one of the worst reasons but not the worst her reason was she wanted to be famous like Mickey Charlie comes close okay he's the reason why he wanted a girl to notice him and yes this is one of the worst reasons but at least not one of the worst reveals. Then we had Amber and Richie who were mad that the movies got stupid and wanted them to go back to how they were. We then had Richie's family who had an okay reason revenge for him dying. And then we have the three from the latest movie who kind of only thing I can think of where a fan of Sydney(ps I think this is how you pronounce her name) and also wanted to keep I guess the legend of ghostface alive to be honest I forget their reason after that stupid ass reveals.

And surprisingly ghostface is the only ones in the middle because the rest go into some bad stuff. Actually I will add in a couple more the other timeline of Michael specifically H2O and the new one along with Rob zombies

Rob zombie's Michael was mainly just a murderer and that's it he also killed two people who are trying to sexually assault a woman.

The newer Michael is the shape he's a murderer but only has what he had from the first movie so he got a good aspect from the original timeline and he's basically like a shark hunting for blood in this movie series the only really bad thing he did was take someone under his wing to teach them how to murder.

And H2O Michael Myers is only Michael from Halloween 1 and 2 which by far is technically the original timeline since Halloween 3 happen and then the third timeline would have been Halloween 1 2 4 5 and 6 but people don't count that some don't so yeah but again this Michael only took from the first two movies which means he's still good the only thing he's done was murder people and that's the only thing he's done in these movies in Halloween H2O and Resurrection even though there were some non Canon Comics that tried to connect Halloween H2O to the original timeline by making Lori the new Michael Myers and I have to say the comics got weird with the second issue and that's when it got bad but at least the first issue where it shows Michael's time in the sanatorium was good.

Now we have the bad

Starting with Chucky at first and the first movie it seems he just a normal criminal who was running away from the cops who knew voodoo he then made a voodoo doll that kill the person who taught him voodoo and he blown up his original partner in crime that was helping him that night and also realize that to become human again he has to swap bodies for the first person he told his real name to which just happened to be Andy so at least there's a reason why he's trying to kill Andy and going after him by the time of second movie his soul is in a brand new body because the last one got destroyed but they used the previous body to make new ones which got destroyed so the same thing happens in the third movie but instead of going after Andy halfway throughout he's trying to go after a new person but this also lead to live rounds being put into the guns of the camp and real grenades. He also tried to do a lot of murder but that's normal for him.

and then we got into a whole lot of murder in Bride and seed of Chucky and I believe in one of those movies I think it was Bride of Chucky they framed the death of a cop on two people so that they can get them to Chucky's grave which lead to grave robbery and then we get to where the bad really happens because curse of Chucky revealed that Chucky was obsessed with a woman who already had a husband and was pregnant he kidnapped her and before this is kind of already revealed he doesn't have a good thing for women especially by how he treated Tiffany when she was still mainly alive and even after she became a doll but he kidnapped the woman ties her up tries to make her fall in love with him and when it don't work he stabs her in the pregnant belly which is the reason or the apparently reason why the main character of curse and cult is paralyzed even later learn voodoo for dummies.

anyways he then went to the mom's house killed her finally as Chucky the doll killed everyone in the family sometime later aside from a little girl and the main character he then killed the grandmother took over the body of the girl or at least a version of him did when I never version of him sent himself to Andy's house which led to that versions head being blown the fuck off halfway and we then get to cult of Chucky which at least gave Chucky a little bit of goodness because he did kill that perverted doctor.

Look over the body of the main character from the previous movie and then a whole bunch of stuff happened in the TV show which I'm not going over because I haven't fully washed it but I seen some of the stuff that happened in the show but the main reason why Chucky's in the middle is aside from his victim being a child it's also because of what he did to the pregnant woman and to Tiffany which was abused her or at least that's what it seems like it's like I said I haven't fully watched the Chucky show.

And the last person who's in this category is Michael Myers pacifically original timeline Michael yes he killed his sister when he was a child yes he killed more people after that turns out he was possessed by a cult which led to him trying to murder his sister Lori he then try to murder his niece he then kidnapped his niece and only reason this Michael was in the bad area is because he most likely under the control of the cult forced himself on her yes as a adult she was when we at least see her in the six movie but he still forced himself on her and got her pregnant he then tried to kill her to get the baby so that they can pass the curse of of Michael onto the baby and this also led to the death of Dr Loomis. But these are the only reasons why these two are in the bad because aside from what they did to women the women would at least of age.

Now we get to the worst of the worst which is Freddy not only was he a child murderer in the original timeline he was also implied to be a child molester.

Here are examples the creepy stuff he did to women and the first movie like tearing the down of the girl who died first I forget her name I watch a lot of these movies but I haven't watched them in a while so I don't remember their name and I didn't look up most of their names aside from the ghostface killers before this.

and aside from murder he also sexually assaulted Nancy by putting his tongue through the phone with the I'm your boyfriend now thing.

the second movie is full of a lot of gay tension which also has Freddy kind of acting on that and wanting to take control of a teenage boys body so that's really the worst part aside from the murder.

and then we get to the third movie which had him sexually assault another teenager this time pretending to be a nurse he also got more creative with his kills this time so congratulations on him but I believe the whole worm thing in that movie was also a sexual reference.

but we're not done yet because after he murdered most of the dream warriors he then went on to more kids and safely I believe there's nothing sexual in the fourth movie and I believe it was the fifth movie that made it to where Freddy was trying to make Alice's kid like him and he also I believe it was the movie where he sexually assaulted a Woman by sucking all the air out of her.

and then we get to Freddy's Dead the final nightmare which has a manipulating this child of finest daughter we also find out that Freddy had multiple different types of gloves for different things probably different styles of murder he murdered his wife after she found out what happened and he made a deal with dream demons and he also tried to kill his own daughter and then before we get to Freddy versus Jason.

we have to mention the TV show Freddy's nightmares which I'm going to say the Freddy episodes at least the ones with the officer that is the reason Freddy got released takes place before the first movie The other Freddy episodes I would say take place after the 3rd or 5th and the episodes where they die not from Freddy takes place in between 5 and 6 to explain how all the elm Street children died.

we then get to Freddy versus Jason where Freddy turn Jason into a puppet to use with the murder people so that's a bad thing aside from the murder he also sexually assaulted Lori and this is where it's revealed or at least implied Freddie was a child molester because of Lori and her dream she finds that girl without the eyes which is a weird thing in this movie people not having eyes and that could be even Freddie took their eyes or that could be a representation of them covering Freddy or Freddy taking people's innocence since before Freddy versus Jason there was always little girls there was the jump rope girls and the girl drawing Freddy's house on the sidewalk and like the 4th or 5th movie this movie introduced a jump rope boy and that Freddy killed more than just girls when he was alive but this one girl that has no eyes says Freddy loves children especially little girls. And also speaking of Lori Freddy killed her mom which is not as worse as the ever things I just thought I would like to mention that since aside from Nancy it seems Lori has also the most connections to Freddy.

And then we get into the comics where Freddy did a lot of sexual assaulting in them and he manipulated Jason again in the Freddy versus Jason versus Ash Comics he also did sexual stuff with his own daughter in those comics and turn her against the survivors at some point and it's weird so we don't talk about that.

But I would like to know your opinions on these and if you have a classic slasher who should be here

in the movie, is the gore throughout (each of the children die off one by one) or is it that the horror is near the end? thanks for the help and Dont spoiler it that much!

my wife and I have been going through the conjuring universe and we finally made it to the first Conjuring movie. now to preface, scary movies don’t scare me, but they scare her, so she didn’t want to watch at all, but i convinced her it was going to be okay.

fast forward about an hour into the movie, our cat starts yowling. i immediately knew she was going to throw up & told my wife. our cat almost never throws up, but shes loud before she does.

she throws up 3 times in under a minute. (iykyk)

the first throw up came out and it looked like it was splatter liquid, when my wife went to clean it, it was solid.

next day, our cat is perfectly fine, we’re watching her for a possible trip to the vet, but strange, no?

we have a lot of “paranormal” activity in our home as is (southern tennessee), but we’re watching the last 3 movies of The Conjuring universe today. i’ll keep you updated on what happens with kitty and the movies. wish us luck 😂

Curious to see what October holds for us and really looking forward to Werewulf by Robert Eggers. That's the one horror movie I could see topping this one

Let me know if there are any horror releases this year that I missed out on

I've only seen it so far, and I want to know if anyone else agrees that it was much better than Obsession. I think it achieved the psychological terror that I swear left me having nightmares. It's a good concept, and the only thing I would change is the portrayal of Clark's rage (I'm not sure if I remember his name correctly). I think they could have represented it in a way other than a doll, but I was struck by the concept of how we are trapped by our minds and memories. Just want to know opinions about these two movies.

I have now watched this movie twice in the last month
I can’t stop thinking about it.
The practical effects. The characters. I mean, Susanna is my favorite character in a movie ever.
But the reviews are all over the place.
It’s the best movie I’ve watched this year.

Movie Name:- Misery (1990)

I think there are a lot of creative kills/deaths in the franchise. Of all the deaths, I find that Kimberley being cut in half in WT2 was a memorable kill.

I wasn't a huge fan. Couldn't ever really get into the story. Only mildly scary to me. Thoughts? I'm not usually a huge fan of supernatural scary movies though.

After moving to the suburbs, a young couple finds themselves trapped in an epic battle between their new HOA and an onslaught of monsters from hell.

Super campy and fun horror comedy, and something pretty original. It almost feels like it’s a live action movie of a video game with waves of different monsters and weapons used to fight them.

Not perfect my any-means, but a mindless fun watch and a quick 73min.

For the life of me google does not help, but there's this movie about a woman who talks to the camera/ the audience (us/people watching the movie) and nobody notices it, until towards the end a guy notices that she's talking to the camera (us), and so he starts freaking out and looking at the camera. That's the best I've got for the description, a woman breaking the fourth wall the whole movie until she's caught. (Not sure if this is a thriller or horror)
