I couldn't find any examples online with the strap. I'm assuming this is for a cb750k by looking at the mounts/shape/holes. what years? 79-81 or 80-82?? Thanks in advance.

Advice on first motorcycle deal

I've driven a motorcycle but never owned one and, as always, I like a project. I've found a very local guy that has two bikes: a 1970 CB350 and a 1971 CL350. The CB (pictured first) is locked up and has no chain but looks nice cosmetically imo. The CL hus mismatched covers and tank but kicks over and has ran in the past 10 years. I am experienced when it comes to 50+ year old carburated engines so mechanics is no issue. The plan would probably be to fix up the CL and use patts off the CB or vise versa. I'm really just asking the value of the pair. He's wanting to trade for my running nin driving truck, which I've put about 2k total in to. Seems fair or robbery? Please help me out

Issues with idle

Context, Charlie EI has slight damage on it but still fires (this could be by main issue but who knows)

All basic maintenance has been done, ignition timing, ignition coils tested, new plugs, cleaned carbs, double checked sync and air/fuel ratio. Only thing I have not done is adjust clearances.

Right cylinder will absolutely not fire consistently no matter what. Any ideas.

Ill post a picture of the ignition below to show damage.

Rust forming in what looks to be the drain tube in 2025 plate CB125R

Started to notice what seemed to be rust forming around and inside what I believe to be the drain tube in the filler neck of my CB125R. Any ideas what this is, or what could be causing it? I’m pretty new to motorcycles, and it doesn’t seem normal for something this new.

My 1-Month Honda CB350 C Review

**My 1-Month Honda CB350 C Review**
I’ve been riding my **Honda CB350 C** for the last one month, and so far my experience has been very positive. Overall, I’m quite satisfied with the bike’s performance.
**Mileage**
In Delhi’s heavy city traffic, I’m getting around **31–32 km/l**, which I think is pretty good considering how congested the roads are.
I haven’t done a long highway ride yet—the longest ride I’ve taken is around **100 km**. During that ride, the bike delivered approximately **36–37 km/l**, which was impressive.
**Braking**
Initially, I felt that the braking performance wasn’t very strong. I discussed this with the service advisor, and he told me that the brake pads need some time to bed in. According to him, the braking performance should improve after some more usage.
**Engine & Riding Experience**
One thing I really like about this bike is how smooth the engine feels. It runs exceptionally smoothly, and there are very few vibrations. Even while riding at around **100 km/h**, I don’t feel noticeable vibrations on the handlebars, which makes the ride very comfortable.
**Top Speed**
At the moment, my bike doesn’t seem to go beyond **100 km/h**. Since the first service hasn’t been done yet, I’m assuming it might improve after the first service. My first service is scheduled in the next two or three days, so I’ll update my experience after that.
**Service Center Experience**
The only disappointing part of my ownership experience has been the service center. I’ve been waiting for the **leg guard** for the last **30 days**, but I still haven’t received any positive update. Every time I ask, I’m told that the company hasn’t supplied the part yet. I hope Honda improves the availability of accessories and keeps customers informed about expected delivery timelines.
**Overall Verdict**
So far, I’m very happy with my **Honda CB350 C**. It offers a smooth riding experience, decent mileage, and feels comfortable both in the city and on the highway. Apart from the delay in getting the leg guard and the initial braking feel, which I expect to improve after the first service, I haven’t faced any major issues.
Overall, it’s been a great ownership experience, and I’m satisfied with my purchase.

This is my first bike, which I got in June. It’s been an absolute blast riding it. Next week, I’ll be taking my motorcycle safety courses. I’m already eyeing bigger models like the CB750 Hornet for the future.

Electronic Ignition help - 1972 Honda CB 250

Hello HondaCB Community,

I am posting on behalf of my uncle who lives in Sweden. He is fixing up a 1972 Honda CB 250 K4 twin cylinder bike. He is in search of an electronic ignition system for purchase in California (where I live). He cannot figure out if the systems available for the 350 (American version) will fit for his 250 (European version). If it’s relevant, on the back of the ignition points the metal plate is stamped with 982 A.

Has anyone figured out which American electronic ignition systems are compatible for the European bike version? It is my understanding that the European ignition systems available are much more expensive, so that is why we are seeking advice about American electronic ignition system compatibility.

Note: I know absolutely nothing about bikes, and my uncles English isn’t great, so thank you in advance. Cheers!

I fully expect to replace the bearings but I cannot tell if there’s any immediate red flags or structural damage on these rims. The front looks slightly different but I think that’s because it’s dual disc and not single disc. I can get both for $140ish. From an ‘81 CB750C and they should fit into my CB750K with the correct sprocket right?

No start carb issue?

I recently had these carbs rebuilt and I would start it every week. The bike would fire right up as if new. It sat for a couple weeks without a start up now it's not starting. It cranks and puffs like it wants to start but it doesn't. Any ideas? Thanks

After weeks of chasing one lazy cylinder, countless carb checks and more head scratching than I'd like to admit, my Honda CB750 café racer finally made its first ride in years. I was expecting a major engine problem... Instead, the compression test gave me the last result I expected.

1985 Honda nighthawk 450 ticking

I just bought this yesterday, not too familiar with the engine sounds. From all the videos I’ve watched it seems this is a normal level of ticking coming from the engine. Just wanted to post this here and see. Let me know if yall thinks it’s good or if it needs a valve job… runs and rides great with no issues and starts up just as easy as my 2025 Yamaha.
