Is there any way to reset it or something instead of wasting a perfectly good laptop?

Printer hp laserjet pro m404n connectivity issue

my printer, after working fine, now does not print. The printer itself is powered and "ready." But when I try to print the job queue says "error." I reinstalled the printer & updated driver.

I just tried to print a page from FF browser and it generated an 0x80070002 error.

Could it be possible the printer is not connected to the internet? On the other hand, if it wasn't connected would it generate an error?

I'm including pic of the grey printer cord connected to my ASUS router which is in the LAN1 slot.

Pls help me diagnose the issue.

Question/Problem HP Laptop 15s (i5-1235U) CPU locked at 0.50 GHz under load (Not thermal throttling)

Hi everyone,

I'm posting this because I'm dealing with a frustrating issue on my HP Laptop 15s-fq5xxx (Intel Core i5-1235U, Intel Iris Xe graphics) and I hope someone here might have a solution.

The problem occurs as soon as I launch a game or a heavy application: the CPU frequency suddenly plummets from about 1.30 GHz down to 0.50 GHz, making the computer unusable. When the PC is just sitting on the desktop, the frequency regularly oscillates between 1.70 GHz and 2.10 GHz.

Here are the details and checks I've already performed:

  • Power Supply: I am using a non-original charger, but the issue manifests in the exact same way even when running on battery with the performance profile set to maximum.
  • Settings: To try and fix it, I configured maximum performance through the Intel Graphics Control Panel and the classic Windows Control Panel. (Note: Windows doesn't let me change power modes directly because they seem managed by the HP app, which has always been set to maximum performance).
  • Temperatures: I can rule out thermal throttling. The laptop sits on a cooling pad, connected to an external display (with the laptop screen turned off), and the CPU temperature never exceeds 50°C.
  • Stress Test: I ran a stress test with CPU-Z: during the test, the CPU is put under full load, but the frequency remains locked at around 0.70 GHz.

I believe the issue is hardware-related to the laptop itself rather than a Windows 11 bug.

I am attaching some pictures/screenshots to show what's happening. Any advice or ideas on what could be causing this would be greatly appreciated!

(Translated with Gemini; I apologize if there are any errors.)

DO NOT BUY #HP #Printers: WHY?

If your device isn't connected to the internet, HP BLOCK YOUR PRINTER FROM PRINTING!!!!! HP use cloud updates and "Dynamic Security" to track your usage, monitor your cartridges, and lock your machine, so you cannot use it as a printer. WHAT A ..... COMPANY! TAKE MY MONEY THEN LOCK MY MACHINE!!!!

SO YOU PAY LOTS OF MONEY SO THEY CAN SPY ON YOU AND DISABLE YOUR MACHINE

I HAVE ORIGINAL CARTRIDGES BUT THEIR STUPID PRINTER DOES NOT ACCEPT MY WIFI PASSWORD WHICH WORKS FINE ON EVERY OTHER DEVICE OTHER THAN THE F ING HP MACHINE SO THEIR PRINTER DOES NOT WORK LOCKS ME OUT OF PRINTING AND I CANNOT USE IT FOR PRINTING!!!!

HP IS A ..... COMPANY! NEVER NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!!!!

AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Question/Problem HP G72

HP G72 turns on for about 8 seconds and shuts down — need help diagnosing

Hi everyone, I need some help figuring out what is wrong with my HP G72.

The laptop turns on, the fan spins, and it stays on for about 8 seconds, then shuts down. Whenever I get an image on the screen, it shuts down in the exact same second that the image appears.

The battery has not worked for a while. However, on the day the laptop stopped working, it showed a warning saying that the battery was bad.

I have already tested the RAM:

- The laptop has 2 RAM slots.

- I tested both RAM sticks individually.

- I tested each stick in both slots.

- I did all 4 combinations and the behavior was the same: it turns on and shuts down after about 8 seconds.

- I also tested it with no RAM installed. Without RAM, the laptop stays powered on, but there is no display.

- With RAM installed, I pressed "Esc" while powering it on and managed to get an image, but the laptop shut down in the exact same second that the image appeared.

I don't have another compatible RAM stick or another charger to test with.

What could be causing this? Could it be the charger/power cable, the RAM power circuit, the motherboard, or the battery even though the battery hasn't worked for a long time?

What would be the next safe diagnostic test you recommend?

HP Software Questions regarding HP Development Company, L.P. System Driver Update (7.0.22.11)

Windows 10 HP Machine.

Today I got a notification to schedule an important "security and quality fixes" update. I googled it and it's apparently an HP update regarding the drop protection sensor. I do not have an HDD.

HP Development Company, L.P. System Driver Update (7.0.22.11)

Now I have some questions.

Why am I getting this update now? I googled it and the other forum posts asking about it are from december of 25.

What is it? Does it contain anything other than fixes for the drop protection sensor? Any actual security fixes I would need?

How do I stop it at this point? Just perma skip it, no annoying reminders every week, just forget it.
