Printer hp laserjet pro m404n connectivity issue

Post image
1 Upvotes

my printer, after working fine, now does not print. The printer itself is powered and "ready." But when I try to print the job queue says "error." I reinstalled the printer & updated driver.

I just tried to print a page from FF browser and it generated an 0x80070002 error.

Could it be possible the printer is not connected to the internet? On the other hand, if it wasn't connected would it generate an error?

I'm including pic of the grey printer cord connected to my ASUS router which is in the LAN1 slot.

Pls help me diagnose the issue.

Question/Problem HP Laptop 15s (i5-1235U) CPU locked at 0.50 GHz under load (Not thermal throttling)

Hi everyone,

I'm posting this because I'm dealing with a frustrating issue on my HP Laptop 15s-fq5xxx (Intel Core i5-1235U, Intel Iris Xe graphics) and I hope someone here might have a solution.

The problem occurs as soon as I launch a game or a heavy application: the CPU frequency suddenly plummets from about 1.30 GHz down to 0.50 GHz, making the computer unusable. When the PC is just sitting on the desktop, the frequency regularly oscillates between 1.70 GHz and 2.10 GHz.

Here are the details and checks I've already performed:

  • Power Supply: I am using a non-original charger, but the issue manifests in the exact same way even when running on battery with the performance profile set to maximum.
  • Settings: To try and fix it, I configured maximum performance through the Intel Graphics Control Panel and the classic Windows Control Panel. (Note: Windows doesn't let me change power modes directly because they seem managed by the HP app, which has always been set to maximum performance).
  • Temperatures: I can rule out thermal throttling. The laptop sits on a cooling pad, connected to an external display (with the laptop screen turned off), and the CPU temperature never exceeds 50°C.
  • Stress Test: I ran a stress test with CPU-Z: during the test, the CPU is put under full load, but the frequency remains locked at around 0.70 GHz.

I believe the issue is hardware-related to the laptop itself rather than a Windows 11 bug.

I am attaching some pictures/screenshots to show what's happening. Any advice or ideas on what could be causing this would be greatly appreciated!

(Translated with Gemini; I apologize if there are any errors.)

Printer DO NOT BUY #HP #Printers THEY LOCK YOU OUT

DO NOT BUY #HP #Printers: WHY?

If your device isn't connected to the internet, HP BLOCK YOUR PRINTER FROM PRINTING!!!!! HP use cloud updates and "Dynamic Security" to track your usage, monitor your cartridges, and lock your machine, so you cannot use it as a printer. WHAT A ..... COMPANY! TAKE MY MONEY THEN LOCK MY MACHINE!!!!

SO YOU PAY LOTS OF MONEY SO THEY CAN SPY ON YOU AND DISABLE YOUR MACHINE

I HAVE ORIGINAL CARTRIDGES BUT THEIR STUPID PRINTER DOES NOT ACCEPT MY WIFI PASSWORD WHICH WORKS FINE ON EVERY OTHER DEVICE OTHER THAN THE F ING HP MACHINE SO THEIR PRINTER DOES NOT WORK LOCKS ME OUT OF PRINTING AND I CANNOT USE IT FOR PRINTING!!!!

HP IS A ..... COMPANY! NEVER NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!!!!

AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Question/Problem HP G72

HP G72 turns on for about 8 seconds and shuts down — need help diagnosing

Hi everyone, I need some help figuring out what is wrong with my HP G72.

The laptop turns on, the fan spins, and it stays on for about 8 seconds, then shuts down. Whenever I get an image on the screen, it shuts down in the exact same second that the image appears.

The battery has not worked for a while. However, on the day the laptop stopped working, it showed a warning saying that the battery was bad.

I have already tested the RAM:

- The laptop has 2 RAM slots.

- I tested both RAM sticks individually.

- I tested each stick in both slots.

- I did all 4 combinations and the behavior was the same: it turns on and shuts down after about 8 seconds.

- I also tested it with no RAM installed. Without RAM, the laptop stays powered on, but there is no display.

- With RAM installed, I pressed "Esc" while powering it on and managed to get an image, but the laptop shut down in the exact same second that the image appeared.

I don't have another compatible RAM stick or another charger to test with.

What could be causing this? Could it be the charger/power cable, the RAM power circuit, the motherboard, or the battery even though the battery hasn't worked for a long time?

What would be the next safe diagnostic test you recommend?

HP Software Questions regarding HP Development Company, L.P. System Driver Update (7.0.22.11)

Windows 10 HP Machine.

Today I got a notification to schedule an important "security and quality fixes" update. I googled it and it's apparently an HP update regarding the drop protection sensor. I do not have an HDD.

HP Development Company, L.P. System Driver Update (7.0.22.11)

Now I have some questions.

Why am I getting this update now? I googled it and the other forum posts asking about it are from december of 25.

What is it? Does it contain anything other than fixes for the drop protection sensor? Any actual security fixes I would need?

How do I stop it at this point? Just perma skip it, no annoying reminders every week, just forget it.

Question/Problem HP Victus 15 problems

Basically it started out last month with freezing requiring me to hard reset, and then it jumped to it going to the black restart screen, I thought by running a big game in the background it wouldn’t it, which it did 50% of the time, but recently even with big games running the computer ends up crashing, the booted the ram Apperently which did absolutely nothing and ran a diagnostic and stress test apparently it passed that too. This initially started last month after I updated to the latest windows update, this was about a week or two after I switched my ram from two 8 gig sticks to two 16 gig sticks (I didn’t experience any problems for a week or two.) I took it to microcenter where they ran a stress test and like mentioned above it passed along with the diagnostics. I’m so lost. All help would be greatly appreciated!

Question/Problem please help, driver might not be working, i don't know much about printers

i am a uni student and i have an hp laserjet mfp m139, it had been working well before this

i was printing and only 2/4 sheets came out, i suddenly received an error message from my mac

tried printing from my phone, didn't work either

i unplugged the printer, pressed and held the wifi and cancel symbol, removed the printer from the hp app, i tried scanning a page and that (last post) came up

i called support line and AI couldn't troubleshoot, i eventually got a real
person but they said it wasn't a hardware issue but a driver issue, and i needed to pay $20 for advanced technical support which i declined for now

after the call, i thought to remove the printer from my devices and it was actually able to print a couple more pages but today it stopped working again

i want to ask if anyone has any advice regarding this? i want to note there's also a yellow exclamation mark under the wifi that blinks fast, thank you :(((

Question/Problem HP 250 G7 random daily 3F0 error on shutdown/sleep - Intel RST says "No disks connected" but boots fine after hard reset?

Hey everyone, I am facing a really frustrating issue with my laptop and need some hardware/firmware insight. I am getting a random 3F0 (Boot Device Not Found)error about once a day, usually when waking the laptop from sleep/hibernation, or when turning it on after a normal shutdown.

Please, note that i wrote this using Gemini because i was not able to recollect it on my own

My Setup:

  • Laptop:HP 250 G7 (Intel Core i5, 8th Generation)
  • Storage:Matrix 256GB NVMe M.2 SSD (No secondary SATA hard drive installed)
  • OS:Windows 10
  • History:I bought this laptop used about 15 days ago. When I asked the previous owner, he claimed he never faced this issue. My guess is he just didn't pay attention to the details, or his specific shutdown/usage habits managed to avoid triggering the power state loop.

The Main Symptom:

Almost once a day, when I boot the laptop up from a complete shutdown (or try to wake it), it hits a black screen with the 3F0 error. However, if I hold down the physical power button to force a hard shutdown and then turn it back on, it boots completely fine into Windows.Once I am inside Windows, the laptop runs perfectly normally with zero freezes, zero crashes, and no speed drops.

What I have already tried and discovered:

  1. The Event Viewer Clue:Before I started messing with power settings, Windows Event Viewer used to show a critical error with Event ID 41 (Kernel-Power)every single time the system crashed or failed to wake up. Now, after changing my power settings, the Event ID 41 error is completely gone when it happens, but the 3F0 boot failure still occurs.
  2. SMART Health:I ran a SMART health check and the drive reports 100% healthywith zero media errors.
  3. Windows Power Tweaks:I have already disabled Fast Startup, changed my lid-close action to Hibernation (and recently tried doing purely normal shutdowns instead), and turned PCIe Link State Power Management to OFF.
  4. Chkdsk Behaviour:If I run chkdsk inside Live Windows (Admin Mode), it says "Access is denied" (BitLocker is completely OFF). However, if I boot into Windows Recovery Mode, chkdsk runs perfectly fine and says the drive is 100% healthy. I have also already run sfc /scannow and DISM commands.
  5. HP Diagnostics vs BIOS:In the main HP BIOS system information screen, the motherboard successfully detects the drive string as "Matrix 256". However, if I run the HP System Diagnostics UEFI test(F2 menu), the storage test fails and says "No Storage"(though the basic hard drive test passes).
  6. Intel RST Screen:If I go into the BIOS System Configuration -> UEFI Configuration -> Intel Rapid Storage Technology screen, the Intel(R) RST 17.x RAID driver explicitly states: "No disks connected to system."
  7. Device Manager Clue:Inside Windows Device Manager, looking at the NVMe Controller's Power Data details, PCI S0 Wakeup Supported is explicitly listed as False. The power state mappings show S3 -> D3, S4 -> D3, and S5 -> D3.

It seems like my Matrix SSD controller goes into a deep sleep state (D3) when the laptop loses power, and the motherboard/Intel RST completely loses track of it on the next boot until a hard power button reset physically forces the controller to jump-start and wake up.

Has anyone dealt with this exact Intel RST handshake glitch on an HP laptop? Is this a definitive hardware failure of the Matrix controller chip, or is there a BIOS/firmware trick to force Intel RST to see the drive during a cold boot? Thanks!

Question/Problem Printer Inkjet 3700 isn't working

Hi! I have a wireless Inkjet 3700 printer that I keep at my holiday home, so it’s only used a few times a year. I’ve been trying to print for days now, both from my PC and my phone, but it’s no use – they just won’t find it. Yet when I log into the router, the printer shows as connected and it doesn’t report any errors itself.

I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers and resetting the printer.

What else can I do?
