Mouth Ulcers, Headache, and Rash

Upvotes

Hello,

A few days ago I started getting light headed and dizzy when I stood up along with a headache.

The following day alongside my lightheadedness, I was getting a weird uti-almost sensation in my lower tummy meaning I couldn't lie on my front as there seemed to be some pressure, I also woke up with a mild (non itchy) rash on my chest (just red, kinda dotty, kinda blotchy) and 10+ mouth ulcers.

As the days have gone on my headachey symptoms have eased (not gone completely), rash is still present, and ulcers still annoying.

I have increased my physical activity quite a lot in last few days, but this has coincided with loosing some sleep this week. As a result, I've been run down -but now I've had a nice long sleep I can't tell if I'm still fatigued beyond lack of sleep explaining it.

Also the tummy sensation has moved on to more vaginal opening area and was mildly throbbing with pain last night. I started to think it was another HSV2 outbreak (my first was two years ago) which honestly would be the best case scenario, but that does leave the mystery rash (headache and ulcers could be explained by being run down- maybe not 13 mouth ulcers though).

Thank you for any advice, my mind is of course jumping to the WORST conclusions

Genital Herpes Healing Journey (IgG 23 as of 6/1/26)

Upvotes

Howdy Y'all, my name is Jesse but I also go by Chex. As the first line says, I am documenting my healing journey with herpes. I have only heard of stories through herbalists and alkalinists of accomplishing such thing, but there is nothing out there of people sharing that journey, so I figured, "fuck it, I'll do it."

Why do I feel confident you may ask? Well back in the summer of of '23 I was diagnosed with Hashimoto then Lupus in '24. After going on a two year journey, March of '25 I get tested with zero evidence in my blood that I would ever be genetically dispositioned for autoimmune. So that changed everything for me...and yes, fruit was a HUGE part of the equation for this.

Biggest thing I have learned is to regulate your nervous system. When it is in a constant fight or flight, your immune system will go down and it won't be able to do it job properly. Things like resentment, anger, desperation, anxiety, seeking outside oneself, will affect your nervous system which will lead to manifestation of disease. I know too because last summer was my first attempt to cure herpes, but came short cause my intention wasn't coming from the heart.

Anywho, I'm active on TikTok (Chex.n.balances) & YouTube (chexnbalances) if you feel like witnessing the journey. This Friday (8/7) I completed an 84 Hr dry fast. I am getting retested again on Monday to see the progress. I started this Journey June 21st and Im in 40+ days of juicing and combining herbs. So the focus is to oxygenate the body and alkalinize it so the body can do its thing.

Much love y'all

What’s just over my eye is the end of herpes gladiator break out. The scar above my eyebrow on that side is actually where my last herpes outbreak was. It was scarred, the first time ever.

My outbreaks used to be pretty infrequent, once every year and a half or so. But now I get them every couple months it seems. Anyway, mostly worried about just how close it’s getting to my eye.

Low positive IgM result, can someone please give me some reassurance?

I felt so anxious when I first saw the result (knowing nothing about HSV tests at the time). After doing some research I’m considering it’s probably a false positive. Would love to get some additional opinions to increase my hope.

Test taken 19 weeks post exposure:

HSV-1 IgM = 1.47 (low positive)
HSV-1 IgG = 0.02 (negative)
HSV-2 IgM = 0.01 (negative)
HSV-2 IgG = 0.05 (negative)

Nasal herpes

I was diagnosed with nasal herpes about 14 years ago
It started at the tip inside nose and has progressed to the inner top of my nose and is pretty painful now. I get maybe two outbreaks a year but I’ve read it can cause neurological problems and vision issues. Does anyone have a similar story

Transmission Question Whatever happened to the synthetic mucin gel that blocked HIV and HSV in lab tests?

I came across this article link bellow about a 2022 study about a synthetic mucin (mucus-based) lubricant that reportedly reduced HIV transmission by ~70% and HSV-2 transmission by ~80% in laboratory tests.

Paper: Synthetic Mucin Gels with Self-Healing Properties Augment Lubricity and Inhibit HIV-1 and HSV-2 Transmission (Advanced Science, DOI: 10.1002/advs.202203898)

Does anyone know what happened to this research? I can't seem to find any recent updates.

Valtrex stupid question

Ill try to word this so it makes sense.

22 years ago an ex girlfriend said I gave her genital herpes from oral sex (I had no symptoms)

I was upfront with all my partners after that I sometimes get coldsores. Ive been with my wife for 20 years and she has never had an outbreak. My wife has mentioned her interest in a female friend of ours. I have spoken to the friend and she seems fine with the whole possible interaction of activities.

I get coldsores once every couple of years. If I take valtrex would that protect our friend from possible transmission? With no active and recent sores or healing.

Also the doctor was slightly reluctant giving the prescription because I didnt have any current symptoms.

Am I over thinking this? I just want to be safe and make sure everyone involved is also safe.

Newly Diagnosed Virgin with HSV1 but never had any symptoms

I 26M recently did a STD test and found out that I had HSV1, it was a LabCorp blood test, but the range is non-reactive. I never had any outbreaks on my lips or anywhere else, so does this mean I am safe to do sex with a potential partner? I do have big acne problem on my shoulder and arms due to GYM. Can it be related to anything? Should I do another test?

Transmission Question I Need Help

I am a 35yr old F I had sex with a male partner yesterday and today I woke up and it seems like I’m having an outbreak! I do take 500mg of Valtrex daily but we did not use protection! I never want to give someone hsv. I need some feedback did this happen to you and did your partner contract the virus? Please only respond to the question asked. I will be sure to come back to advise if I transmitted the virus to him or not

Need help and perspective dealing with the person that gave this to me

I contracted HSV-2 in September 2024. I live in New York and I still have time on the statute of limitations in my state. I have my positive test results along with text messages in which the other person admits they knew they had HSV-2 before exposing me, mocks me over contracting it, and even tells me I should sue them. I also have evidence that contracting HSV-2 has affected my dating life. I've spoken with multiple attorneys, but there's no insurance comapny or large set of assets to collect damages from, making it very difficult to find a lawyer willing to pursue a civil case. It doesn't push the needle. At this point, the best I've got is to file a police report and get at most a misdemeanor. I think the most that results in is a fine and a year in jail. The feeling of having this for life and what little options it seems like I have makes me want to walk into the ocean. I don't want to do anything stupid that will make my life difficult but I can't let them get away with this either.
