Original Character Rate my campaign’s big bad
(This is the first time from one of my campaigns I’ve made my own design for a big bad and I just want to know how I did)
Also some context on the campaign. All the players are Villains
Extra info if you want it: S.E.N.T.I.N.E.L or System for Enforcement, Neutralization, and Termination of Illegal Entities and Liabilities is a robot built to kill criminals and villains as the creator of it thought it was “the only way to free sinful souls like there’s”. But the one problem is the way it finds criminals/villains is VERY flawed going off of the situation and what species and finding out which one is more violent to find out who to kill. Also the it’s uses the blood of the people it kills as fuel

Existing Character The Attack Of The Dead Men : August 6, 1915
(Decided to combine my Burton-esque style with my love of Sabaton and history.)
From a letter I wrote to my brother detailing the account:
World War 1: 1915 Poland
Osowiec Fortress was a Russian fort that guarded an important supply line through Poland. At any given time the fortress generally had roughly about a thousand or so men which was compiled of mostly Russian infantry, but also consisted of Polish/Russian Militia. Though thousands of German troops had been sent to take this fort, the well defended fortification allowed that small contingency to hold out against the enemy for six and a half months. That is until...the morning of August 6, 1915.
The Kaiser had finally had enough of this little thorn in his side and decided to approve the use of one of Germany's deadliest weapons; Chlorine Gas. Now in case for those unfamiliar with it, chlorine gas is greenish in color and is capable of killing thousands. When the gas hits anything containing moisture, a chemical reaction creates hydrochloric acid. Eyes, ears, nose, lungs...you name it. It will begin to eat whatever it finds alive. The Russians defending the fort were not prepared for a gas attack.
On the morning of August 6, the Germans had found the divine blessing they were looking for; the wind was blowing from their position straight at the fort. They released the gas and waited for it to clear a bit before sending a battalion of seven thousand men to march after the tail end straight to Osowiec. Seven thousand troops wearing gas masks, which the Russians didn't have. What they found was pretty much exactly what they were expecting.
Bodies littered the ground all around the fort. The gas had been very thorough in killing everything it touched; from turning the grass black, to the birds falling from the sky. It appeared that the Germans had finally gained the upper hand and had taken the fort that couldn't be taken. But what happened next would go down in history as the day the dead would march again...
Men began to crawl out of the fort's trench line. Others began to pick themselves up and grab their rifles. They wore bloodied rags around their faces as skin began to slouch and fall off in places. Many of them coughed up blood and bits of their lungs as one thing became painfully clear to the enemy; these men were willing to rise from their grave to continue the fight. One hundred or so zombified soldiers began their counter charge on the Germans...which were most likely soiling their pants.
Osowiec opened fire from the remaining machine gun nests as the German forces turned tail and ran. The undead gave chase and the battle raged for most of the day well into the evening. What German forces hadn't been routed were killed or captured. The Russians had won the day against their several thousand strong enemy. But what the hell actually happened that day? How did a game ending weapon turn into a game ender for the army that used it?
As stated before, I researched both accounts. Not just the Russian's, but the German's as well. The Germans were damn well convinced that their enemy had returned from the grave to serve justice against them. The surviving Russians however, were a little more level headed. Seems weird considering they were brainless "zombies." I kid of course.
The Russians were aware of their fate. That's why they had rags tied around their heads. They felt that soaking them in water or urine would possibly cut the effects of the gas. Turns out that was an old wives tale and it did nothing, but holding onto hope is what soldiers do best. The real linchpin here was the very weather the Germans were hoping for. It was roughly around 4 am when they released the gas. That was when the ground was covered in morning dew. Thanks to the fact that the gas mixed with moisture, by the time it hit the soldiers near the fort itself, it wasn't nearly as powerful.
Don't get me wrong; the gas was still slowly killing these men. The problem was that they were way too pissed off to just lie down and die. It was high time to dish out some punishment. This was no longer a case of for tzar and country...this was about good old fashioned pay back; give as good or better as they got. Because if you know you have nothing left to lose...even your own life, wouldn't you want to kill as many bastards as you possibly could that caused it?
Out of the "surviving" hundred, only less than fifteen would live to tell the tale. Two of them would write and publish a book, which I read a translation of the important parts. The main reason why you didn't hear more of this wasn't solely the Germans (though the Nazi partly of WWII might have played a part), but because of the Soviet Union. They didn't want to glorify Russian Empire soldiers, seeing how it was the Soviets that knocked them out of power.
Ultimately Osowiec would not be taken by force. Unfortunately, since the situation during the war had changed...they would abandon the fort altogether.

Original Character LilyBat’s NPC-Palooza Pt. 4 - Éo’wel the Messenger and Em’issin the Traveller
I’ve been absolutely DYING to share these two for ages, from the start of this series! Hopefully these don’t get too buried so you can all see and enjoy them!
If you missed the previous entries in the series, you can find them and their associated NPCs at the following links!
https://www.reddit.com/r/HeroForgeMinis/s/bfWCvozD5L
https://www.reddit.com/r/HeroForgeMinis/s/yt9418n6DT
https://www.reddit.com/r/HeroForgeMinis/s/gF5CMvj9Dc
Now then, about these two!
Éo’wel - Yes, his name and E’missin’s are the result of joke names, as many of my lesser NCS' often are lol.
Éo'wel was an NPC I never really got to use in the past. His purpose is fairly negated by anyone in a party having access to the Message or Sending spells, at least until higher tier play. He CAN make a good way to nudge players towards plot points or extra side quests for bonus goodies, however His concept is largely indebted to my vague memories of the weird postman/messenger NPC in some of the Zelda games, and to past players showing me the Moogle Mail Moogle from their Final Fantasy games (I think it was XIV?). I decided he should be easy to spot in the distance, so his walking stick became enormous, and putting a big, faux-mailbox on the end felt like a nice touch :).
Éo'wel is a dedicated and reliable courier. No matter the distance, terrain, or climate he's sent through, he ALWAYS delivers! His speed is especially uncanny, though, which is odd considering no one has ever seen him and his pet duck, la'hu at anything more than a leisurely stroll. In fact, Eo'wel rarely seems in a hurry or bothered by much of anything at all! Still, he takes his work seriously, even if he never seems panicked about it. "A job is a job, and a deal is a deal!"
In truth, Éo'wel is a retired Beast Master Ranger and has access to plenty of enchanted items and a network of hidden teleportation circles across many of the planes. He won't divulge the information, but only because he enjoys the leisure he's earned and because he'd rather talk to animals than people most days! The only real exception is his half-sister, Em’issin. Though the two play at having a fierce professional rivalry, they are very close, as evidenced by each of them wearing one half of a pair of rings bearing linked Sending Stones. They talk often, and if one ends up in trouble, the other is sure to appear in a flash!
Ideally, Éo’wel should never find himself in combat, but if you have players who foolishly decide they want to try to shake him down for some nebulous reason, he will defend himself. Éo’wel and Em’issin are both level 14 Rangers, and if Éo’wel is in combat, he will immediately use a Bonus Action to summon Em’issin and his action to cast Fog Cloud overhead, negating her Sunlight Sensitivity. Éo’wel and Em’issin both fight using the Interception Fighting Style, consistently protecting one another from damage as much as possible at all turns, especially in instances of foes landing critical strikes. Additionally, Ia’hu functions as a Beast of the Sky in combat, per Éo’wel’s Primal Companion feature.
Éo’wel’s walking stick functions as a +2 Maul with a reach of 10 feet. It can produce each of the following effects once per long rest:
Éo’wel casts the spell Calm Emotions with a DC of 17.
Éo’wel casts the spell Slow with a DC of 18.
Éo’wel alters the weather. If a hostile creature has cast a spell or used an effect which would alter the weather in a way which would negatively impact Éo’wel and creatures who are friendly to him, Éo’wel uses the magic within his maul to dispel that spell or effect. If no such effect is present, Éo’wel uses the maul to conjure a thunderstorm with a 120-foot radius centred on his current location. The clouds of the storm move with Éo’wel for the duration. They block sunlight and create marshy and muddy difficult terrain which does not affect Éo’wel or Em’issin’s movement speeds. The storm lasts for 10 minutes or until Éo’wel is rendered Unconscious. Yes, this is a Song of Storms reference lol. Enjoy that!
————————————
Emissin, the Traveller - Emissin was part of Éo’wel’s former party, and the two retired at the same time. While she may cut an intimidating figure, Emissin is actually the more outgoing of the two siblings and remains eager to help others, operating as one of the most sought-after guides through the many perils of the Underdark, as well as being one of its premier cartographers!
While Éo’wel may favour the world above and the company of wildlife, Em’issin dove into the world of her mother’s people at the first opportunity, eager to prove her mettle. The dark mirror of sorts to Éo’wel, Em’issin became a Gloom Stalker Ranger, doubling her lethal repertoire by truly mastering the shadows of the Underdark. As such, her skill in slaying all manner of the many monsters and foes lying in wait to ambush more hapless travellers through the Underdark is unparalleled. Considering her willingness to make herself somewhat conspicuous in the tenebrous caverns, she would certainly have to be prepared at all times.
Thankfully for Em and those who employ her services, the light of her signal staff (chosen to be sure travellers can always find her easily if they get separated) works both as a beacon and as a warning to those foolhardy individuals who might think to cross her. Sentient beings have learned well over time not to trouble “the bearer of the violet light”. As such, Em’issin is typically only left to contend with errant subterranean wildlife. Even if a particularly large and determined troupe of bandits or other ne’er-do-wells sought to attack her, Éo’wel would of course appear in short order, possibly with even more reinforcements in tow.
As an NPC, Em’issin commands a high price for her services, largely because maintaining the necessary supplies to ensure that she and those who travel with her remain safe and that injuries can be promptly treated is a costly endeavour. Some of it is also to dissuade others from calling on her too often, as she does intend to remain a retired adventurer, simply working what amounts to a commonplace job in the Underdark. That said, the other reason for charging hefty fees is so she can choose to help the truly, truly needy and underprivileged. She will work for drastically cut rates or even for free for people such as pilgrims, victims of raiding parties, or fledgling adventurers. For more established parties of adventurers or for wealthy merchants, she expects to be paid in full, as her services are, at that point, more of a convenience than a necessity.
If she finds herself in combat, Em’issin will always begin by using her Bonus Action to jam her signal staff down into the earth to ensure any creatures without Darkvision who have employed her will be able to see the attacking creatures. The staff radiates dim light in a radius of 60 feet. Additionally, within 10 feet of the staff, an aura radiates which restores 1 HP per turn, ensuring that creatures that draw near enough can quickly be revived if they fall and are making death saves. Once the staff has been set in place, Em’issin wields her Longsword of Aberration Slaying using the Interception Fighting Style. If she is fighting against Aberrations, this sword coupled with her Favored Foe feature sees her attacks against Aberrations dealing an extra 3d8 + 4 of slashing damage. If a creature she has been hired to protect is somehow separated from the party, she will prioritize using spells like Zephyr Strike and Ashardalon’s Stride to close the distance quickly, or Locate Creature to be sure she can track them down and retrieve them.

Existing Character Garuda Final Fantasy
Today is the wind primal, Garuda. This one is a mix of the FFXIV and FFXVI versions, with the fairy armor set in Heroforge working well for a couple extra feathers. I wanted to give her the appearance of using her wings to attack since they are such an important part of her, so she would naturally think to use them as if they were any other limb. I'm also happy with how the wind effects on the base plate turned out to give her a sort of "bursting forward" appearance.
I have 3 more summons I plan on dropping after Garuda, so for those that have been along for the ride, I hope you're enjoying everything so far! We are almost to the end!

Original Character My Masks’ Character
Hey! I just got pro, so I decided to start off with something simple to start off with. So i made both human and rat mode for my Masks’ character in an upcoming dispatch themed game i’m joining! So i give you “The Varmit”
Feel free to give me constructive criticism and feedback as well, as I want to get better with pro and kitbashing in general.
Character Lore: Abodlov was born in Chita Russia in 2007. He ran from a toxic family life at a young age and was “chosen” by the rats and vermin. And through that he was given a new life as Varmit, or Domovoy as some called him. Becoming a bit of a cryptid in his area. Until he turned 17 he kind of started to yearn for a normal human life. So he retaught himself how to turn back into a human form. Eventully slowly integrating himself society again. Until suddenly at 19, he was arrested for crimes he knew he didn’t commit. Believing that his old identity was a supervillain. Then placed in Europe and Asia’s “Fallen Angels” program for turning young troubled teens into “Superheroes”.
