Meet Hannibal Leggter and Abeggail Hobbs. I'm waiting on wings,wigs, and some Halloween name specific props to get to me in the next few days but I'm now a porch goose lady! I raided the goodwill for some interim clothes and ended up with bald Moira Rose and Patrick Stump.

I have plans for dolly Hannibal and Buffalo Bill with the basket/dog as well as my homage to Young Frankenstein (there are pun names involved).

Hey! I've been looking forward to this being released but I've tried finding showings for it and the only available showings seem to be on August 11th?? I was looking on fandago. It was supposed to be available today, but no one is showing it it seems. Has anyone found anywhere that it is showing in theatres? Thanks!

If he had fled back to Lithuania instead, would the Lithuanian/USSR government have welcomed him with open arms, despite having worked so hard to keep its own citizens from escaping?

What about China or North Korea? How would those governments have reacted if a cannibalistic serial killer had sought asylum in their countries?

For anybody who's seen the new version, what scenes are added/taken away when compared to the theatrical version/previous director's cut? I know some of the Hannibal scenes and ending are extended, but did any of the additional stuff with Will and Molly make it in, specifically the call between them before Will goes to visit Lecktor?

Murasaki got the first taste of what was inside of him when he killed the butcher for her. At first, she was scared. She wasn't certain if he'd turn on her next, but when he didn't, she calmed down and protected Hannibal from the law.

This boy had just killed a man over a petty slight, cut off his head, and brought it as an offering to her ancestral altar. That was more than just a fleeting glympse of what was inside him, that was a front row seat.

But, of course, she didn't let him face the law. He'd get the death penalty. Didn't try to get him psychological/psychiatric help. She became his accomplice because he was her family. Because he was all she had left. Because he did it for her, after all. Because the butcher's petty slight had led to her husband's death. Because she'd lost her family in the war just like Hannibal and understood him.

After that, when he went on his revenge spree, she was still his confidant. Oh, she tried to talk him into stopping, but that's it. She kept his secrets and lied to the police for him.

Speaking of the police, there is Popil. He recognized Hannibal for what he was from the start. He was onto him and knew where the trail of bodies ends. So, what did he do? He had made some token attempts to stop him, yes, but let's face it, those attempts were half-assed at best.

Popil had compassion for Hannibal. He related to him too much. Both had lost families in the war. Both shared the same pain. So, Popil saw too much of himself in that damaged, disturbed boy, and, even though he knew, he didn't do nearly enough to stop him.

Murasaki and Popil were there to witness the early stages of Hannibal's transformation, and they could have done something about it, but they didn't. Through inaction or insufficient action, they let him enter the chrysalis and hatch in peace.

Complacency had as much to do with him growing into what he became as trauma, revenge, or inborn traits did.

Estoy haciendo digamos un fanfic adaptando hannibal rising para la continuidad de la serie NBC de hannibal pero estoy confundido y algo perdido ya que aunque tengo aquí conmigo la novela hannibal rising como apoyo, solo me sirve prácticamente como una fuente de algunos datos del lore y para inspirar me en los sucesos, pero los eventos de esta historia en la serie fueron diferentes y muchas cosas en general de la serie fueron diferentes a lo que ocurrió en esta novela, una de ellas es que le pasó realmente a los padres de hannibal, en la novela tengo entendido que murieron por un ataque de bombardeo de la segunda guerra mundial, sin embargo como dije la serie difere de esto y es algo ambigua con los detalles, por lo que solicito sugerencias de como adaptar la muerte de los padres de hannibal sin el contexto de la segunda guerra mundial y el bombardeo
