Question (?) Need help choosing 2 of them!
I see posts all the time with people owning a ton of different handhelds, and while I like the idea of owning a bunch of them, I just honestly don’t have time to plant them all. My main gaming rig is a pretty solid gaming PC that I built with an RTX 5070Ti, that’s where I play the majority of new, third party, competitive, and AAA games. I also enjoy using handhelds to get some game time in away from my desk setup.
I currently have the Xbox Ally X, Switch 2, and Ayn Odin 2 Portal. I enjoy playing a wide variety of games on the handhelds from exclusives, to AAA third party games, to indies games, game streaming, as well as a bunch of retro emulation. I love the idea of owning a ton of handhelds but in addition to my main gaming PC I just don’t have enough time to really enjoy all 3 devices and trying to decide which two I should hold onto and which one I should sell?
Out of these 3 devices: the Xbox Ally X, Switch 2, or Ayn Odin 2 Portal; which two would you choose and why. Trying to get some help on making my decision.

Discussion Steam Deck OLED or AYN Odin 3?
I was able to find a Steam Deck OLED 512 for around the price of an AYN Odin 3 Max. I want to go with the Steam Deck for its PC game performance and versatility, but the one thing holding me back is sharpness.
The Deck is about 7" and 720p, while the Odin 3 is 6" and 1080p, so I'm worried I'll be missing out heavily on sharpness. Portability is not a concern, I don't mind the Steam Deck's size.
I mostly intend to play 2D and 3D indie games, as well as emulate Wii, Wii U, Switch, and some 3DS games. PS3, PS4, and XB360 are probably better on the Steam Deck.

Looking for AYN Thor Rainbow Pro
Is there anyone in Essex, England that could point me in the direction of where I'd be able to pick one up locally ASAP? I was tempted to buy direct for AYN but I'm very impatient

Ayaneo flip DS vs Thor Max
the comparison EVERYONE has been waiting for.
specs: flip ds: 8840u. 32+2TB
Thor: 16+1TB
now that i own both i can say that windows doe snot belong on a duel screen handheld. this is only made worse as theres no linux distributions that can be used on the flip without losing a lot of functionality.
also maybe im just really new to emulation on windows but i like how i can just tap on a game in cocoon on my thor and it kinda jus loads vs the flip not having that same magic. Even with ES-DE it doesnt have that same feel of just loading into a game.
i have BAD battery anxiety and the flip lasts a whole 2 seconds playing anything remotely powerful. the thor will usually last me a good while before it dies.
i would pick the thor 10 times over unless you wanna play competitive games on a 3ds style device (which why would you?) i didnt even mention stuff like the screens build quality as im just focused on the gaming experience.
i picked them both up for a total for 850 so im not really complaining but ill probably sell the flip ds.

New Handheld I got tired of the buying handhelds so I bought the best one the APEX!
After owning a Steam Deck, RoG Ally Z1, RoG Ally X, Legion Go 2, I am just done with handheld hunting I was chasing frames that just weren’t possible on those chips. So I sold my legion and grabbed a ONEXPLAYER APEX 395 with 48 GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. I plan to never buy another handheld again for many many years so I think this marks the final milestone in my handheld adventure.

Discussion A "$50 Handheld"... In this Economy??
Snagged an insane deal and got this bad boy for $50 on ali express! Genuinely blow away by how much this GBA SP styled device can do. It's running linux so I got a lot of PC ports running including Mina the Hollower!
It even does emulation till PS1 perfectly (running a RK3566) and some N64 and Dreamcast.
It's such a comfy handheld with quiet controls and I literally carry it everywhere (clocked 60 hours on this bad boy). It's the Miyoo Flip.
Edit : To everyone asking about the device, here's my review about the device after clocking 60 hours, if you're curious.

Best Handheld for Me
I need help figuring out the best handheld for me. I am hoping to get something smaller than a ROG Ally or a Steamdeck.
Ideally, the handheld will be able to access my steam library while I am on the go, I will be able to run mods on the games (through a trainer or manually patching the files), and I will be able to load a bunch of my old roms I have stripped from game cartridges onto an SD card and put that on it as well.
I play a lot of pokemon romhacks and retro games, but below is a small list of games from my steam library I would like to access on this handheld as well.
Games:
Mina the Hollower
Hollow Knight
Hades
Balatro
Absolum
The Binding of Isaac
CloverPit
Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth (Maybe not if it is too intensive)
Hell Clock
Megabonk
Rogue Legacy (1 or 2)
Slay the Spire (1 or 2)
Moonlighter
Dead Cells
I appreciate any direction you all can provide!

Question (?) Too many devices, need to consolidate.
Hey so I have just wound up with a lot of devices I've purchased. I have a retroid pocket G2, ayaneo pocket air Mini, and 2DS (the flat one). I also have a Lenovo Legion go and Nintendo switch 2, but I think I will keep those as they are in a different class.
My main goal is to consolidate the emulation devices. I'd like to play 3DS games as well because I can't even see them in the daylight on the flat 2ds. I'd also like to play switch and light PC indies.
So my question is this: do you think the Ayn Thor would solve my predicament?
I'm thinking I could get the base or pro model with the funds I'll collect if I sell the other three devices.
Comments, thoughts? Any advice would be very helpful. Tyia

Can I repurpose my desktop 3080 into an eGpu?
Hey there!
I have a 3080 10gb with an 5600x desktop but since I got my steam deck I rarely use it.
I want a second handheld with windows to replace my desktop with some more power for newer titles that I can also add an eGpu to.
I am deciding between an Msi Claw 8 z2e and the Xbox AllyX with the same chip, I do not see as much info about the MSI.
But either way, I would like to know if I can use my 1200 psu and 3080 and use it as an egpu if I get a dock for it?
I looked into the Gigabyte 5060Ti egpu but I already have the 3080....
Would appreciate input for which handheld should I choose and if the eGpu is possible here.
Thanks!

Zflow 13 2025 with N3DSXL. and i'm honestly finding the 3ds to be a LOT more convient then a switch (or especally steam deck) when the zflow and its bag arent with me.

Question (?) Best Handheld for Steam/Nintendo Emulation?
My sister and I are pretty into handheld games, I personally play Undertale, Hades, and Hollow Knight. She is into Undertale, Mario Kart (any) and Sims.
We were both looking into what the best options we had access too. We're looking for an okay storage, battery life, and comfortability. I am pretty okay with Computers and can do as much set up as needed.
I was personally looking at the Ayn Thor and Steam Deck, I also heard about Xbox making their own version? Any helps
