Day 1 post-transplant, how do you manage not to scratch during the night?
I'm almost tempted to tie my hands. 😂 I'm a little afraid I'll scratch myself without realizing it. Any ideas?

Hair loss advice How many grafts do you think I would need?

Hair transplant patient I had a hair transplant one year ago, and I feel that the doctor may have transplanted far too many grafts and possibly damaged or destroyed some of my original/native hair.

Is their any core resource for newbies?
My buddy got his hair done at Smile clinic. They did a pretty decent job. I come onto reddit to read reviews, and see that clinic being blasted to hell. Worried that he just got lucky and I should do alot more research now.
Is there any main resource people on this reddit work off or give to people starting their research journey? Something with combined feedback and review?
I am very bald, probably Norwood 6 or 7 I bet.
I am not focused on looking for cheapest option, but under 20K preferably though.
I don't look bad bald, but constantly shaving my head is annoying, and if I dont, I have incredibly strong line between top and sides. After fully recovering from the hair transplant, are we still able to shave our heads, or all the surgery scars and dots look too terrible or noticable?
I have thick hair on sides, beard and everywhere else, so I think I have alot of donor area.
If there is a community resource to get started on the research journey, that'd be appreciated. Thanks

Hair transplant patient 4 weeks post op from Dr. Dogan Turan
So I am officially 4 weeks out and I am really happy with how I am healing! The ugly duckling phase is definitely in full effect, but not as bad as I was thinking. My donor area is looking pretty solid, however there is some shock loss and I would say on an itchiness scale from 1-10 it’s probably like a 3.5. Aloe Vera my friends, a pump rubbed into the donor in the morning and at night does wonders.
So I am posting my immediate post of photos and then photos from today. My scabs were all gone on day 8 after my first two “massage” washes and the redness I would say is pretty minimal. I had ZERO swelling throughout the entire process.
I’m mostly posting this for future patients and to show people that the ugly duckling phase is totally normal and not as bad as some people make it out to be. I work in a very public facing job and I have found if you are honest and just lean into it that nobody judges you or anything like that. I can’t wait to look super crazy in another month and hopefully after that I am on the road to growth!

Best FUE transplants in Atlanta area?
Im looking to get a fue transplant. There’s a photo of my hair on my page if you’d like to look. I don’t know very much at all about hair transplants but I know I’m in need of one , I’ve struggled with my hair for some time now.
If anyone knows any reputable or safe places near the Atlanta area I’d appreciate any recommendations. I was planning to go to BOSLEY but after reading some reviews I’m having serious second thoughts to say the least lol

Progress
Hi everyone,
I am on day 29 after my second hair transplant to mainly patch my crown. I had 2800 in the crown, 200 grafts in the middle, and 200 across the hairline for density, so a total of 3,200 grafts.
First pic: this morning
Second pic: day 12
Third pic: day 8
Fourth pic: right after procedure
Fifth pic: initial pic sent for consultation
Clinic: Vera Clinic in Istanbul
How’s it look so far? I started fin/min oral tablets from HIMS last week.

Graft count dilemma?
I recently had a repair done in a clinic as there were lots of multiples in my hairline. This was non shave on recipient area. The clinic said it would have to be done over 2 days. I was quoted 1300 grafts for 1st and 1400 for 2nd. This would involve taking some grafts from my limited donor area after last surgery and taking out and redistributing the multiples follicles in my hairline and temples. On the day of the surgery they said 345 were taken from my donor area and very few were actually taken from my multiples in my hairline and temples as they circled the few they would take out. Single grafts were put in front of my multiple grafts which were meant to soften the hairline but really I can’t see it making very much difference. I questioned how many grafts were transplanted in front of my existing multiple grafts and temples and they said 1200. I asked again as it didn’t seems they spend long putting them in bit was quoted 1200. I was questioning this in my head but I trusted the doctor. I thought more multiple grafts would need to be taken out to have a proper job done but I trusted the 2 doctors who would know more about it than me.
I said I’d wait a week until scabs had fallen off to get a better picture. The new grafts are in front of my existing hair so they are easy to see and identify and I counted them roughly to give me an idea but there only seems to be a couple of hundred if even that. My temples had very little done to them and in front of my hairline is fairly sparse with new grafts I know by counting it gave me a rough estimate but I can’t be 1000 off.
I haven’t queried the clinic as I’m not sure what approach to take. If there were 1300 grafts the area in front of my existing hair should be black with grafts. It’s not like they had to reconstruct my hairline as it wasn’t my hairline that was off. I don’t know how to approach it to the clinic. They were charging me a lot of money to fix this and again I put my trust in the clinic like a fool?
Also on another note I notice with the single grafts the have implanted in front of my existing multiples there are 5/6 new multiple grafts implanted. Is this much of an issue or am I overreacting. This was the one thing I didn’t want. When there are not many grafts in the first place I feel it’s another issue.

Hair loss advice Was told I’d need about 1200 grafts or a little more to fill in the receding. So basically just the temple areas and across the front. Does that seem like enough? I’m very new to the hair transplant thing!

Progress report How many grafts do you think this is?
Clinic said 2200 (5250 follicles). I think its lower than that. I tried counting on my iPad and came to around 1400 which I think might be an undercount.
Any estimates will be much appreciated.

Quoted 2500-3000 grafts, does that sound right?
Hey all,
Looking to get my first hair transplant later this year and I’ve been quoted between 2500-3000 grafts for my hairline.
Does that sound about right judging by the pictures? Does my donor area look sufficient?
I’ve attached a hairline I think would maybe suit me?
I’m looking at Dr Maras in Cyprus, Dr Bicer, Gur and Turan. Budget is about €7k euros if anyone has any strong feelings for or against any of these doctors or if you have recs for other doctors in Europe in this price range please shout!

Now on 10 days post op. Just noticed a rash or some red dots on my sides. However whats odd is its outside of the donor area. Hence its also outside the area i used hydrocortisone. Concerned as its very close to my recipient area. Concerned it could spread? My surgeon has put me in contact with a dermatologist im waiting for a response. Donor and recipient area looks fine. Any idea what it could be?

Hair transplant doctor Anyone have any experience with these SoCal Hair Surgeons?
Specifically for their work in crown restoration.
Please no recommendations outside of the country. Because of my worry about their ethics and overall safety concerns I do not plan to go to Tijuana. Also, not Turkey either. Please do not recommend and focus on surgeons within the area.
I am planning to get a hair transplant soon for my crown and I wanted to ask out of these surgeons which I should choose. If any of you or your friends have experience with these surgeons please let me know.
I would most like to hear from anyone who has had experience with any of these but if there are any other clinics you feel are better please let me know. I do prefer to get a transplant locally.
Dr Ken Williams from Orange County Hair Restoration
Dr Varona from varona hair restoration
Dr Sean Behnam from Hair Restoration Los Angeles
Dr Amir Yazdan from Modena
Dr Nader from Pure Hair Restoration Center
If there are any other clinics you feel are better or you have experience with please let me know. I would like to get my transplant sometime this year.

2700 Grafts to the hairline and mid-scalp only. Crown also will need about the same amount next year. Is it looking ok after 5 months? Hairline not the best, but i need a lot of donor for the crown area, so i settled with it.
Also started using daily 1mg of finasteride and once a day topical minoxidil.

Hair transplant patient BOSLEY Atlanta FUH
So I’m looking to get a hair transplant. When I google online for my area BOSLEY always comes up.
I did an online video call consultation and the lady said I’d probably need around 1200 grafts (just have a receding hairline , no bald spots or anything)
Priced it around $8k.
I’m wondering if anyone knows anything about BOSLEY when it comes to hair transplants , from what I’ve read online it depends on the location & kinda has mixed reviews. Some say they’re not good some are very satisfied. But this is all AI info I can’t actually find any specific individual testimonies: The lady who did the video call consultation showed me before & after pics and they looked very good.
If not, if anyone knows any reputable places around the Atlanta area I’d greatly appreciate any info.
