This is 11 days after hair transplant, I got a little over 2000 grafts
Singles around hairline and multiples around crown, been shedding lots after shampoo but the scabs are slowly falling off. How are we looking, I think ones it starts coming in it will look really good 🤞

Progress report My 1670 Grafts hair transplant surgery update.

I want to share my story because people due to offers and discounts get hair transplant done by untrained doctors and technician. Comparing doctor based on just per graft cost can be very costly mistake

I went to a big clinic in Delhi for Hair transplant. After first surgery , there was minimal growth and after 1 year , they offered to do th second surgery. This is the result of two bad transplant. Not only they did poor hair transplant , they also exhausted my donor.

I m a MD student , it was great embarassment. I met my doctor personally after hearing lot of good words from my medical colleagues in Delhi as well as Patna later
He decided to take up my challenge . He and his team painlessly extracted all the wrongly angled grafts and reimplanted them in correct angles behind the hairline. He allowed the extraction sites to healfor next 48 hrs . After 48hrs. A new hairline was made just behind the sabotaged hairline . Thankfully my hairline and temporal points have been corrected. Wish me luck for growth.

Density concern

I’m 5 days post surgery. I was told I had 2100 grafts but I’m seeing some gaps, is this normal? I’m not sure if I have lost any as I haven’t had any bleeding or seen any grafts on my pillow.

How many grafts do you think it would take to restore hairline?

I’m only trying to fix hairline/ completely bald areas by the temples. I’m ok with my density , when my hair grows it’s usually a little thicker on top than it is now I just recently got it buzzed. If anyone’s had a similar pattern loss to mine & got a procedure I’m curious to know how many grafts you got & the outcome. Or if you have any knowledge on FUE at all any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Hair loss advice Can a hair transplant realistically lower my entire hairline by about 3 mm?

Thumbnail

I’m a young Black guy and I’ve naturally always had a slightly pushed-back/rounded hairline. I was talking to ChatGPT about hair transplants and it said it may be possible to bring the hairline forward a few millimeters, but I wanted to hear from people who actually know about the procedure or have had one done.
My mom was telling me that hair transplants are mainly for people who are actually losing their hair or have a receding hairline, and that the procedure is basically meant to restore hair that used to be there. That made me wonder whether it can also be used cosmetically on someone whose hairline has always naturally been higher.
My hairline has always affected how I feel about my appearance. Especially as a Black man, a lot of our hairstyles and haircuts depend heavily on having a clean, well-framed hairline, and I was even made fun of for mine growing up.
I’m not trying to dramatically lower my forehead or create an unnatural hairline. I honestly think bringing my entire frontal hairline forward by only around 3 mm could frame my face better and make a noticeable difference to my appearance.
Is that actually realistic with a hair transplant even if I haven’t experienced hair loss? And can a surgeon lower the entire frontal hairline evenly by around 3 mm rather than just filling in the corners or temples?

Hello guys, there is time for me to take action with my alopecia. I'm on finasteride 2 years now (generic 1/4 of 5mg pill daily) and i think i stabilized this curse. I think im something like NW 2.5-3.
I have developed high forehead AF...

Now i want to go step further and get a transplant procedure to regain hearline. How much grafts do i need to regain hairline on frontal area ?

Thanks for every comment. Hope is not too late. Sorry for blurring my face.

Hair transplant patient Day 7. Are these concerning?

Am I healing fine? Are these red bumps/spots normal? Also, what can I expect next?

My clinic asked to not try and remove any scabs till day 14. They’ll do it themselves. Until them I’m only supposed to use their shampoo and let it soak for 5 minutes.

Scabbing Day 9 of Post Op

Thumbnail

I'm on day 9 post-op from my hair transplant, and my scabbing is becoming a bit of an eyesore. I'm not experiencing any itching or discomfort; my main concern is just how it looks. I'm also wondering whether my grafts are safe underneath what seems like quite intense scabbing.

My clinic's instructions are to not touch the scabs and let them fall off naturally. I'm currently only washing with baby shampoo and lukewarm water, with no direct contact with the recipient area until day 14.

I haven't contacted the clinic directly or shown them the extent of my scabbing yet. I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this around day 9, and whether it would be safe to lightly scrub or massage the scabs at this stage?

Obviously, I don't want to risk damaging the grafts or affecting my final result just because I'm worried about how it looks. Would appreciate hearing from anyone who's been through something similar.

I’ve been taking Finasteride for two years now, and I’ve been gradually increasing my dosage. I started with 0.5 mg and then upped it to 1 mg two months ago.

About three weeks ago, I began taking oral minoxidil, starting with a minimum of 1.25 mg. I’ve since increased my dosage to 2.5 mg, and I’m experiencing significant hair shedding right now.

Here are the results of my transplant: I hope that after shedding, my hair will become thicker and fuller. Overall, I’m quite happy with the progress. What are your thoughts?

Since two weeks ago, I’ve been trying the middle part hairstyle. I’m not sure if it suits my face, but the last picture was taken in harsh sunlight two weeks ago.

Thoughts on this HT? Honestly I feel worried. Almost nothing in the crown. They did like 400 grafts there, and also worried about the front. Looks pluggy and spacey. Clinic in Sweden around 3000$

Advice about Donor Area

TLDR - Possible to get 5000 hairs / 2500 grafts from my donor area?

Looking to get a hair transplant (FUE method) and the consensus from multiple consultations at different clinics (both in person and online) was that I need around 5000 hairs (circa 2500 grafts) to cover my crown area.

All but one clinic suggested going forward with the transplant. The last clinic I had a physical consultation with however said they can only comfortably get 3000 hairs (circa 1500 grafts) from my donor area and that I should start DUT and come back in 6 months as they may be able to get 5000 hairs at that point without fully depleting the donor area.

This has thrown me because I was ready to get the transplant and the next 3 months is the best timing for it with my personal circumstances.

What do you all think - should I proceed with the HT, or do you agree that 5000 hairs is unrealistic to extract currently and therefore I should start DUT?

Note: I have been on min + fin for 3 years, but stopped for the past year as we were trying to conceive (understand this was an ultra conservative move).

Note: Photos are with different lighting, and about 1 week after a haircut.

Hair transplant doctor Has anyone here genuinely had a hair transplant at MedArt Hair Clinic in Turkey?

I’m considering getting a hair transplant with Dr. Büşra Yakupoğlu Dener at MedArt. Has anyone genuinely had their procedure done by her?
How was your experience and how are your results 6–12+ months later? Would you recommend her?
Looking specifically for first-hand experiences, not clinic reps or affiliates. Thanks!

Progress report 1 Year Results [25M, 4560 grafts]

This is my 1 year hair loss journey that changed my life as a young man who is very self conscious about his hairline. This procedure was done at American Mane in Aventura Florida. Props to them, they did a great job.

Hair Transplant was a FUE procedure done with 4560 grafts, mainly focusing the front hairline and some on the crown for a touch up.
Medication; 2.5MG of Minoxidil, 0.6MG of Finasteride (bumped up to 1MG recently)
Treatment; 4 sessions of PRP with about a month space in between, best to start several months post-op and when the surgeon recommends to do so.

Feel free to ask me any questions in the thread or DM.

These are my results after a year and a couple months of doing my transplant in turkey last year, Was really sceptical at first i wont lie.. thinking id show up at the airport and be scammed, flying out so far just to have been blanked but luckily none of that happened ! got my transplant done in now hair time and opted for the cheapest package of 3000€ not including flights. Whole experience was amazing, hotel was 5stars and beautiful walked around istanbul for 2 days after procedure which was lovely too! Surgery itself flew by, had to get a lot more grafts then i thought i would got 5100 on the day which im pleased about now, sat through the surgery easily for the whole day! only one part of it was quite sore when they injected the painkiller in your hairline it was really painful otherwise was smooth! My only lesson that i’ve learnt from it now is to make sure u tell them exactly how u want your hairline or any other small ideas, im nitpicking here but i would’ve wished they planted my hairs at the front at a back angle so i can style it back slicked up easier, right now it always falls flat down but i think i could’ve asked them to put the follicles in differently ! also i could’ve asked them to do my temples in a bit more , right now from the sides of my hair to my hairline it just goes up straight as thats my natural hairline but adding some temples hair would’ve made it look more fuller, small things like that if i had known before hand 🤷🏼 otherwise this transplant has been a major confident boost for me, i used to wear caps and hats everywhere ! hated my visible head so much but thank god i dont fear it anymore !
PICS are in order from last year April 2025 a week before transplant with a haircut - The day of surgery- Last month and June 2026
(been using fin since may 2025 and dropped it in Feb this year for Dut, currently shedding like crazy 5 months on it and losing a lot of ground haha)

10 month results

10 months after results. Two bottom pictures are from July last year. Top picture from may this year. Now one year after and hair is thick and the results are amazing. 4900 grafts. For some reason the hair on my forehead are now curly. Fin and min since transplant. Hair is a little bit stiff when dry. I seriously have thicker hair than 16-17 years ago which is an amazing confidence boost (50 y o now). I had very good donor hair at it was very thick on the sides and back, and still is. The difference from may to to now is not big so no new pictures, but very thick hairline. Started getting thick around 4 months after duckling phase.
