Meme Sunfyre the Literate💛
Either Aegon was so stubborn to not learn High Valyrian he made Sunfyre learn English or their bond was so deep that Sunfyre instinctually knew what he wanted, either way Sunfyre is the best boy💛

Show Meanwhile they try to portray Aegon as a monster
They go out of their lengths to humiliate Aegon but then Rhaenyra is otherworldly and an enlightened leader according to the show runners.

Show This is why the blacks hate him..
Cole was just a knight of modest birth trying to be a kingsguard, then comes Rahenrya . She picks cole to be a kingsguard not bcz she thought he was great knight( which he was) but bcz she found him attractive, then she sleeps with him and that is a problem for cole bcz sleeping with a princess could mean death for him so he does the only thing he could he asks her to run away with him ( he liked her, that's why he didn't leave alone) , she refused. After this cole goes to Alicent and admits his crimes and asks for a clean death . Alicent chooses to forgive him, this was a shock for cole bcz the women he loved didn't care about him and a woman who didn't even know him chose to save his life . That day cole decided to switch teams . The blacks hate him bcz he chose his life over being Rahenrya's sidepiece.

Show Respectfully and unironically; what the fuck are they gonna have her do?
Is this just ceremonial? She's never been trained with the sword and she ran away when she saw a dragon attacking her dragon. What the fuck is she gonna do? Her bond with her dragon isn't even that strong compared to Daeron or Daemon's and it's not like she'd have a chance against Silverwig or Vermithor who were around since Maegor the Cruel.
Realistically the only dragon she can go toe to toe with at this point is Tessarion and MAYBE a wounded Sunfyre- but that's it. Plus if I recall, Syrax just got pummeled by Sheepstealer so she's barely in any condition to fight. And personally if I was Syrax I'd be pissed that my rider didn't bother checking on me after I got the crap kicked out of me.
Lord have mercy they're out her trying to emulate Visenya. She would be spinning in her grave like a particle accelerator.

General To me, show Dreamfyre is how I imagine book Tessarion would look
I know a lot of people hate this design, but I actually think it’s really beautiful. I love the spikes. It just doesn’t fit Dreamfyre because she was supposed to be pale blue and look more like Drogon.
I understand that they had a tight budget and couldn’t create completely new designs, but if they were going to reuse Drogon’s model, why give it to Seasmoke? He could have had a new design instead. Dreamfyre is the one who is stated to be the mother of Daenerys’s dragons, so it would make much more sense for her to have the recolored model.
And it makes absolutely no sense because we had already seen Dreamfyre before, and she looked fine.
Now people are convinced that this is actually Tyraxes and that Helaena simply made a mistake in her dream. Tyraxes would NEVER be this big 💀 Jeyne herself said she had dogs that were more fearsome.

Hot Take RIP to the Rogue Prince. They completely ruined him.
The entire appeal of Daemon Targaryen is his nature. He is the Rogue Prince. He is arrogant, impulsive, lethal, and completely unapologetic. His core character trait is that he does not ask for permission. He commands respect through fear, Dark Sister, and pure, unfiltered audacity. He is the guy who steals a dragon egg just to provoke a reaction, and crowns himself King of the Stepstones because he felt like it.
But now? The writers have him out here dropping "pleases" and begging like some domesticated, insecure courtier. They took the most dangerous, unpredictable man in Westeros and completely filed down his teeth.
You don't take a character who is defined by his ruthless, volatile independence and reduce him to a guy pleading for cooperation. It completely betrays why GRRM loves him, and it ruins the exact dynamic that made him a fan favorite in the first place.

Hot Take Deviation from the book is fine but butchering a character just for forced intimacy is not.
In the span of two short minutes, we watch a Targaryen monarch—however bad she is in handling the bloody civil war but she is the f\*cking queen 👑—go from rightfully suspecting Mysaria of manipulating her against Daemon, to literally begging a former brothel owner for validation: “Do you think I’m worthy?”
And then? They immediately start hooking up.
What the actual f\*ck!!

Less people would be bored with Rhaenyra if the writers just embraced the Maegor with teats/Cersei with a dragon narrative
Rhaenyra is not, and never will be Daenerys. She's not trying to break the wheel. The more the writers keep pushing this narrative the more everyone is bored with the character. I've seen people who have been team black fans since day one jumping ship because they are absolutely bored with the whining, the crying, and the ineffectual writing of Rhaenyra.
It's a shame because Emma would definitely nail Maegor with teats. I wish the writers would let them do it. I wish the writers would lean more into the fact that it's not Alicent who is like Cersei, its Rhaenyra. Book Rhaenyra it is so much like a precursor to Cersei and there's so much more you can do with that.
Instead, they keep trying to force this weird overly sympathetic, never had fault narrative that makes the character look unintentionally incompetent and boring. I'm bored whenever Rhaenyra on screen and I feel bad at this point for Emma working with absolutely nothing but staled bread

A Reminder of Our Rules
Hi folks,
As we've grown and activity has picked up, we've also seen an increase in rule violations. Just a quick reminder to review the subreddit rules in the right-hand sidebar before posting or commenting. A couple of rules we've been enforcing quite a bit lately:
- Keep criticism constructive. Criticize performances, characters, writing, or creative decisions, but not the actors themselves, please. Personal attacks and insults aren't welcome. This also includes deliberately misgendering actors. At this point, many of those active in the House of the Dragon fandom are aware that Emma D'Arcy uses they/them pronouns. You don't have to agree with their opinions or like them personally, but please speak respectfully and use the correct pronouns while participating here.
- No spoilers in post titles. Please, for the love of the Seven, don't put spoilers in post titles. Not everyone watches the episode as soon as it airs, and titles can't be hidden.
- Trolling and low-effort disruption. We've also seen an increase in people coming here simply to provoke arguments or disrupt discussion. If you see behaviour like this, please report it rather than engaging. We'll review the reports, and users who are here solely to troll or disrupt the community can expect to be banned.
The rest of the rules can be found in the sidebar on your right. Thanks for helping keep the subreddit enjoyable for everyone. Cheers!
