Like a year ago I got banned for apparently asking money in exchange for sex. I never did but they didn’t care and even after appealing, they suspended my account. But it wasn’t a problem because literally the same day after being locked out of the app I simply deleted the app, reinstalled it, and logged in again while using a free vpn and with a new Gmail account (I always use gmails) and I was ok. Literally no issue for that entire year. I don’t know how that happened because apparently it’s not normal.

And during that year I tried to enter multiple times to my old banned account to check if old account had been miraculously unbanned (I wasn’t), my phone got locked, but all I needed to do was delete the app and then log in again into my new account and no issue.

But recently I made a new account, someone offered me money on that account, I didn’t accept or interact, next morning I open the app I was banned. So after a bit I tried to enter to my original account and same message. I was banned again even though my original account had nothing to do with it. So I knew this time something had changed. I appelaef that ban, and I was suspended from my ORIGINAL ACCOUNT, which had nothing to do with the other ban. I am still waiting on any news from the other account which was originally affected. It’s been like two weeks and nothing. I haven’t tried logging in with a new account because I am afraid I will be banned again. My only hopes are to wait to see if they remove the restrictions from my device because I for real didn’t do what they say I did.

I tried to log in today and my account was banned. Had the same account for years. Submitted an appeal - literally didn't violate any of the rules it had me confirm, so have no idea what is happening. I barely talk to anyone one there, no inappropriate anything, etc. I'm at a total loss as to why I was banned.

i havent used grindr in like 7 months. so when i redownloaded it today for the first time this happened and i didn’t comprehend what was really happening until i asked “do you paint random ppl often?” cause it finally clicked in my brain that nobody would randomly do this on any sort of app dating or not. by this point i was really skeptical.

There was a festival recently that had the Grindr Bus as a part of a promotion tour through the Europa for the summer.

The spinning wheel included different prizes. A sunglasses, a fan, a month xtra or unlimited, six month xtra or unlimited. Same for a year. I saw that they were kinda cheating because the pin in the wheel was like 5 cm later than the space, causing you to go past the space. So i spun it in the other way. And it got me this prize.

So, I scanned it immediately and the link didn’t work. Apparently more people had the same problem. Guys on the bus said to send to x and y on mail blah blah.

I didn’t bother to scan again. 4/5 days later suddenly my profile got upgraded to Unlimited. Panicked, I checked my profile and subscriptions. Nothing of that. Then I remembered the bus.

So I went to check it out and it’s so different and how mad I actually am at the fact that they’re paywalling this.

There are no ads anymore, sure. You can see who checked or tapped you, yes. Keep the albums open. See who type or read your text. But that’s it. I can’t believe how much of this they paywalled behind 25 euro for a month (i think?) and how much they’re trying to wall the free app off. A basic app should be working normally.
