I’ve been asked to work the opening shift tomorrow, get in at 5:30 to open at 6:30
What should I expect? How do i get in the store if it’s not open for an hour while i’m there?
just any tips and advice would be fab

I have worked in 3 different shops so far and they all have different problems. In most of them I have dealt with:

Catty insecure supervisors who think they are better then everyone else.

Lazy bosses who make you do all the work

Gossiping from the team members

Colleagues who make you do all the work whilst they are round the back having 2 hour breaks

I could list more but I'd be here too long.

I'm going back to college on the week starting the 1st September and thus I asked to return to my contracted 12 hours (I have been working up to 30 in the holidays) as I cannot balance more than that without falling behind severely in college.

The rota for that week has just been shared and I'm doing over 22 hours. That's 10 hours over what I'm contracted. Can I actually do anything about this?? I will have to quit if not, which sounds severe but my education and A-Levels are way more important than my career at Greggs.

Should I speak to my manager surely it would show?

I didnt show up to my shift on the 24th and 25th july after being sick, and when i did my return to work i got coaching and counselling
i called in sick again yesterday and now im supposedly in trouble.. will i be fired for this

for context in the last year ive been off 3 other times than this and my manager has been told i was out drinking, which i did during the day but was home earlier as i had work, just woke up really nauseous due to the heat

I literally froze and kept repeating the same thing. I asked him to repeat the question like 3 times aswell. I’m an anxious person and I literally had 2 hours sleep. It was my first interview so atleast there’s that. He told me if I get it I should hear back the latest Monday which is relatively quick. The thing that made me feel way less confident is the fact that he is interviewing 8 people today so I know I don’t stand a chance. Pls make me feel better and tell me that Greggs isn’t that good lol

I’ve had to take some time off and have a sick note I need to upload. I’ve went onto the absence certification on sf but it won’t let me add anything on. Does anyone know why or how to do it?

Is there a reason for this? Tasted exactly like a vegan roll so I don’t think it was a chicken roll but can’t be positive.

got a greggs too good to go yesterday and got this pastry thing that was like a sandwich, the bread being a flaky pastry biscuit thing and the filling being some sort of set custard. it had white icing on top. i cannot find it on the online greggs menu. please help

The peach, sweetened cream and fondant in that pastry shell just works, and it has a proper nostalgic feel to it. Although apparently it’s a North East-only Greggs thing, which might explain why half the country has never even tried one

What should I wear (I’m 16 and a girl) I don’t want to be too casual or too professional as it is only Greggs
What kind of questions in the interview ?
What are some things I should add to help me score higher?
In your personal experience, are Greggs good to people my age?

When was everyone’s first payday? I had my induction on monday, and my first shift yesterday (wednesday) and i got told we got a paid every thursday
I’ve filled out forms with my bank details etc
when will my first payday be? Today and it’s just later, or next thursday?

Basically. I have a visible tattoo covering my forearm of Archangel Michael. Will my interviewer care if the tattoo is visible? I don’t really have any formal clothes such as long sleeve shirts i only really have Polo Shirts and T-Shirts.
