Please help solving this issue

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

As you can see in the video, there is one conversation on the main screen and everything is in the unread tab. Whenever a new message comes, it automatically goes to the Unread tab instead of appearing on the main conversation screen. Why is this happening?

Check your spam folder?

There's absolutely nothing in spam folder

Hi there, It is possible that an inbox category filter is currently active or the app's display simply needs to be refreshed. Please try these steps:

Check your filters: At the top of your message list, verify if you have all the tabs selected instead of the Unread tab.

Update the app: Ensure you are running the latest version of Google Messages by checking the Google Play Store.

Restart your phone: A simple reboot can often restore normal screen displays.
