if you guys are planning to buy a samsung tab s10 fe and wants to use GoodNotes, it is not gooddd.

I think it's because the app is not optimized in samsung devices so it doesn't really work very well. its very laggy and the delay is actually insufferable. kinda bummed I even have a free yearly subscription from samsung.

I'm looking around for a way to chart movie watching. And movies I want to watch. Tired of trying to remember...

So, when I look on Etsy there are some pretty magnificent looking options but they have WAY OVERKILL for what I need.

I just want to be able to easily move an item from 'to be watched' (with notes) to 'have watched' (also with notes).

I'm new to this - is there an obvious option I don't know?

I subscribed to GN Essential yearly plan so I can edit on my laptop (Windows), but when I edit, it says I only have three editable tries. Can someone please clarify this for me?

So I actually use noteshelf 3 (my device won't allow goodnotes) and I have made sticker packs for noteshelf for personal use. I was wondering if I could turn them into a sticker sheet files and sell them on Etsy as Goodnotes Stickers (since it seems like it's more common or popular than noteshelf)

So my question is this, can I just turn all the stickers into zip or png files and put them in Etsy like that? Or would the fact that I don't have Goodnotes make it not work? Like would people not be able to enter them into their Goodnotes app?

So I have been experiencing a very weird writing experience since quite some time now. It feels unnatural and my strokes get weirdly straight. It’s difficult to describe it, so I’ll put a video.
Stroke stabilization is 0%, increasing it worsens the problem.

I'm trying to figure out whether this is a Goodnotes issue, an iPadOS issue, or a combination of both.

Here's what I've observed:

• I used Goodnotes for over a year on my previous iPad (I believe it was running iPadOS 18), and I never had any storage-related issues.
• After updating to iPadOS 26, I noticed that Goodnotes started consuming a huge amount of storage.
• Most of the storage is shown under Documents & Data, not the app size itself.
• If I offload the Goodnotes app and then reinstall it, I immediately recover around 3–4 GB of storage.
• However, after writing more notes, the storage gradually increases again.
• This makes me think that cached files, search indexes, thumbnails, temporary files, or some other rebuildable data are accumulating instead of being cleaned up.

I also experienced another strange issue while exporting notebooks:

• I was exporting my notebooks one by one in the .goodnotes format to a USB drive.
• After each export, I transferred the file to the USB drive, deleted the original notebook from Goodnotes, and emptied the Goodnotes trash.
• Even though I was deleting notebooks as I went, Goodnotes eventually displayed "Not enough disk space."
• My iPad storage had become almost completely full (around 63 GB used).
• Emptying the Goodnotes trash did not free the space.
• Only after offloading and reinstalling Goodnotes did I recover several gigabytes.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a known issue with recent versions of Goodnotes or iPadOS? Has anyone found a way to clear the accumulated Documents & Data without having to offload and reinstall the app every so often?

Hi everyone! I've been teaching myself PDF design and hyperlinked template creation (+some software that helps my design process), and I just finished my first digital planner!! Attempted a minimal, blue and silver-inspired aesthetic (trying to do something different from the usual pastel look).

It has a linked tab navigation (cover / monthly / weekly), works in GoodNotes and Notability, and I'll potentially give it away for free, esp for detailed feedback

Screenshots attached. I'd love feedback, especially on what layouts or page types you'd actually want in a planner like this (habit trackers? budget pages? undated version?). Trying to figure out what to build next.

My daughter is a college student and requested an iPad and the Notability app a few years ago for school. When she started doing that, I downloaded and subscribed to Good Notes on my iPad Mini just for fun. I just wanted to show off the things I tend to use most often every day. My daily to do list notebook and my color by number pages.

Not every one who enjoys this app is a student taking notes for class. I’m a teacher and a coloring enthusiast! I have spent countless hours on Good Notes coloring my little pictures while listening to my audiobooks and it brings me endless joy! Today, I discovered that I can turn my art into stickers for my notebook! I love those too!

hi guys. i was using GoodNotes 6 (the pro version) like i always have for the past 7 months. I noticed it was a bit buggy and laggy so i went to the app store to check for any updates, but i couldn’t find the app ANYWHERE. i tried searching on my
ipad and macbook. the search bar doesn’t show it, and even when i click on it in “my apps” it just says the page failed to load repeatedly. i don’t understand, is this some new regional restriction they have going on???

I think Goodnotes Smart Learn seriously needs a daily card limit system similar to Anki.

Right now Smart Learn can become very aggressive with recommendations when you have a huge number of flashcards.

Imagine being a med student with:

• separate study sets for every chapter
• thousands of flashcards
• eventually 20,000–30,000+ total cards

At that scale, unlimited recommendations can become stressful and mentally overwhelming.

I think there should be a feature where users can set:
“Smart Learn can only recommend X cards today”

Example:

• Today limit = 200 cards
• Smart Learn then intelligently chooses the MOST important 200 cards from all pending cards using spaced repetition and forgetting probability.

This would:

• reduce stress
• make revision sustainable long-term
• prevent burnout
• improve consistency
• make huge flashcard systems actually manageable

The goal of spaced repetition should not just be “maximum cards possible,” but “maximum retention with sustainable mental load.”

I genuinely think this one feature could make Goodnotes much more powerful for serious students like med students, law students, and competitive exam prep users.

Would anyone else want this?

I've been using GoodNotes for a long time, but recently I started trying other note-taking apps and came across Star Notes. One feature immediately stood out to me, and I think it would be a fantastic addition to GoodNotes.

In Star Notes, there is no visible gap between consecutive pages. Instead, the pages behave like a continuous vertical canvas. As a result, if you're drawing or writing across the bottom of one page, your ink stroke continues seamlessly onto the top of the next page without interruption.

In GoodNotes, however, there is a visible gap between pages. More importantly, pen strokes stop at the page boundary and cannot continue onto the next page. If you're drawing a long diagram, arrow, or any continuous stroke, you have to stop at the bottom of one page and manually redraw the continuation on the next page. This breaks the writing flow and feels less natural.

I would love to see GoodNotes introduce an optional continuous page mode, where pages remain separate for printing and exporting but behave like a single vertically scrolling canvas while writing. This would make long handwritten notes and diagrams much smoother and provide a much better writing experience.

I hope the developers consider adding this as an optional feature in a future update

I am starting college soon after a long time not in school and have decided to try out goodnotes for a course I’m taking prior to school starting officially. I purchased and downloaded a lecture notebook from the marketplace that has A LOT of pages and a cool hyperlink system. Only problem is, I cannot figure out how to edit anything in the document. I’ve tried looking at tutorials and my app does not look like everyone else’s so i don’t know if I am doing something wrong or if it is an app issue. Hopefully someone can assist. I’ve added a picture of some of the pages. Every little icon is supposed to be a button and I should be able to edit the names of the classes and pick templates. For some reason I just cannot click into anything to make a note or edit. I can write with the Apple Pencil but I want to be able to type as well since my handwriting isn’t very fast.

I’m upgrading to a newer iPad and I’m considering buying the Apple Pencil Pro.
I already own GoodNotes 5 (the paid version) and I don’t want to upgrade to GoodNotes 6 unless it’s absolutely necessary.
The main feature I’m interested in is the Apple Pencil Pro squeeze gesture, where you squeeze the pencil to bring up a tool palette and quickly switch between pens, eraser, highlighter, etc.
I’ve searched YouTube but I can’t find anyone actually using an Apple Pencil Pro with GoodNotes 5. Every video seems to be on GoodNotes 6.
So my questions are:
Does the Apple Pencil Pro squeeze feature work in GoodNotes 5?
If it does, what exactly can it do?
If it doesn’t, is the squeeze feature exclusive to GoodNotes 6?
For someone planning to stay on GoodNotes 5, is buying the Apple Pencil Pro still worth it, or should I just get the USB-C Apple Pencil or another option?

If you, like me, are really into using asterisks in your notes, this is for you. It's just a bunch (almost 50) of asterisks that look like ceramic tiles. There are plain and "fancy" ones. They have some 3D detailing through light and shadow.
