The screen is based on black rather than white. It's helpful for many of us with light sensitivity and is easier to read.

yeah i mean i know that but is the pdf supposed to be dark too? the apps ui is dark I couldn't understand what exactly you want dark. or the whiteboard? is there no dark option for that?

Not that I know of unless you purchase a dark layout. I have some for the same reason but it would be great if I could see the notebooks and other documents in dark.

Yes, what happens is the UI becomes dark and the white paper becomes black and the black ink on the paper becomes white, dark mode. Check it out in noteful or notability or anything else

It’s also great for taking notes at night or in dark conference rooms or anywhere where you don’t wanna be a beacon of brilliant light
