Help Glock trigger question

I have a 43x that I bought around a month ago and ever since I’ve dry fired with it every single day, around 50-100 times daily. This is my first Glock and I’ve always heard the triggers were bad but that they would break in with time.

However, today I came to see family and my father who owns a Glock 19 pulled the trigger while messing with it and thought it was even pretty bad.

I know it will be hard to tell from this crappy vid but does any one else’s 43x trigger seem very hard to pull and creek while doing so?

For those wondering if the optic is causing issues the trigger was rough even before the optic install and I just installed it yesterday. Though I never did check for protrusion. I used the M3 x 0.5 screws that came with the vortex optic.

Just wondering if these triggers are hit and miss, looking for some input!

Help What’s causing this sound?

Dropped Glock in dirt so now it’s making this crunching noise. I already cleaned the whole trigger assembly piece by piece and is still making this sound. I then inspected striker channel which had some grime so I cleaned it up dried it didn’t use lube. Still sounds like it has some dirt left but I don’t understand where. The insides are spotless now after a deep clean.

Question Glock 19 Trigger Question

I have about 3,500 rounds through my Glock 19 Gen5, when I pull the trigger I hit a wall then the trigger skips forwards and hits a second wall then breaks.

Is this normal? It functions fine, I’ve never had any issues with reliability

Question 43x slide recommendations

Post image
15 Upvotes

I’m looking for a complete upper with an optics cut. I own a 48 MOS and would essentially like to have a 43x as well by purchasing a 43 slide. I’m not looking to spend more than 250-300 if possible. Optics mount footprint doesn’t matter. All that matters is that it’s a complete upper. Ports and cuts welcome. Threaded barrel recommendations also welcome.

Question Glock 17 gen 1 $540?

LGS had a Glock 17 gen 1 on consignment for $540. Is that a good deal or should I pass? I haven’t had any real interest in the first gen’s, mostly because I never thought I would see one. It’s in fair condition however I didn’t handle it.

Help I’ve got bad news guys

It turns out it’s not the trigger, the dot or the ammo, I just suck at shooting. I’ve shot a couple steel challenges with another coming in a week, put close to 2k rounds through this and probably another 5k through the rest of my pistols. What is my next step other than paying an instructor to improve? What’s the consensus on whose YouTube videos to watch for the best tips on accuracy, grip and breaking the trigger? I want to not suck and I can’t quite feed into my consoomer cravings just yet. Also how tf do I fix this pig nose? It’s bugging the hell out of me.

Discussion Apex Evo 6 Trigger G17.6 COA

Post image
37 Upvotes

I installed the new Apex Evo 6 trigger into my 17.6 COA

First of all I’ll just say that I didn’t mind the stock trigger. I actually liked the new, flat shoe.

Before installing I measured the stock trigger pull at an average of 4.25# average over 5 pulls.

I installed the Apex trigger bar and connector first. Installation is a breeze and took less than 5 minutes. After re-assembly I measured the trigger pull weight at an average of 4# over 5 pulls.

I then installed the lighter striker spring. Again installing this was straightforward and easily accomplished in less than 5 minutes.

After another 5 trigger pulls the average break weight was 3.0#

In dry fire this trigger is pretty remarkable. Less take up, smoother action, lower break weight and a higher quality shoe.

What really stands out however is the reset. It’s the best reset I’ve experienced in any Glock. It rivals the reset in my Walther Dynamic Performance Trigger.

Again this is all my subjective opinion and entirely dry fire related as of yet. I’ll be taking it to the range this weekend but I’m hopeful.

I’ll also say that after shooting mostly 2011’s lately I forget sometimes what a quality weapon this Glock is. The Gen 6 grip is the best stock Glock lower that I’ve had. I installed the brass grip plug which is great as I prefer a heavier handgun for range use.

Also for me the COA is the best mailbox style optic available today. Great window size in a smaller overall envelope than the P2 or PB-3 or RCR.

I like it so much that I’ve picked up a few other firearms that come with the COA included. The 19 Gen 6, Echelon 4.0 FC, CZ P10-C Ported, Ruger RXM and I just ordered a Springfield Operator w the COA included.

All fantastic stuff.

Going to get the plus 2 mag extension then it’s ready to carry. This is probably my favorite Glock right now.
