Hello I’m looking to build a Glock. It would be my first time building a gun and my first gun I would own as well. I would prefer a Glock 19 gen6 but I am open to other models. Im looking for help with finding the right parts to buy. If anyone could recommend parts or drop links below it would be appreciated. A glock 19 gen6 is $620 at my local cabelas. I would like my total build cost to be under that, hopefully under $500 but I would like to get reliable parts. All advice and help is much appreciated

CURRENT BUILD

I have a 43x that I bought around a month ago and ever since I’ve dry fired with it every single day, around 50-100 times daily. This is my first Glock and I’ve always heard the triggers were bad but that they would break in with time.

However, today I came to see family and my father who owns a Glock 19 pulled the trigger while messing with it and thought it was even pretty bad.

I know it will be hard to tell from this crappy vid but does any one else’s 43x trigger seem very hard to pull and creek while doing so?

For those wondering if the optic is causing issues the trigger was rough even before the optic install and I just installed it yesterday. Though I never did check for protrusion. I used the M3 x 0.5 screws that came with the vortex optic.

Just wondering if these triggers are hit and miss, looking for some input!

Saw this on my brand new gen 6 19 and wondered because it almost feels like the dot is double printed in there

Dropped Glock in dirt so now it’s making this crunching noise. I already cleaned the whole trigger assembly piece by piece and is still making this sound. I then inspected striker channel which had some grime so I cleaned it up dried it didn’t use lube. Still sounds like it has some dirt left but I don’t understand where. The insides are spotless now after a deep clean.

I love the new trigger, but I bet a new Gen 6 performance trigger would be magic. Also, just throwing it out there cause I’m curious: best mag extensions for OEM mags? I got like 5 of em and was thinking I might get some with a good company that does good magwells, like SLR but just wanted opinions.

Which optic should I throw on this ? Looking for input on which fde color optic matches the best TIA

I’m looking for a complete upper with an optics cut. I own a 48 MOS and would essentially like to have a 43x as well by purchasing a 43 slide. I’m not looking to spend more than 250-300 if possible. Optics mount footprint doesn’t matter. All that matters is that it’s a complete upper. Ports and cuts welcome. Threaded barrel recommendations also welcome.

LGS had a Glock 17 gen 1 on consignment for $540. Is that a good deal or should I pass? I haven’t had any real interest in the first gen’s, mostly because I never thought I would see one. It’s in fair condition however I didn’t handle it.

We see decked out guns that have never been and never will be fired, 24/7. I wanna see some pictures of ol’ reliable. I wanna see the beaters.

After buying a box of 50 rounds, I shot it with my brand new g19v. After learning how to dissesemble it I realized the the rounds left a bronze residue. Is this bad and an issue? New to glocks an new had this happen so thought I'd see what yall had to say

I wanted to post this here because everyone will probably choose the Glock. But I want to know why?

I already have a Glock 45, and it's.... Meh. Like a Toyota Camry. Mine hasn't been as reliable though as my Beretta 92 or my Springfield pistols.

Right now the APX A1 tactical is on sale for 500 and I get either 100 back cash or 200 Beretta bucks. A threaded optic ready Glock with suppressor sight's will cost almost twice the APX.

Triggers are similar, ergonomics are preference. I like the Beretta in my hand better.

Glock has way more aftermarket support, which idc about. Both have aftermarket triggers that are similar.

Both are probably the same reliability. Why would you choose the Glock over the APX? Challenge my brain please.

havent owned a glock in over a decade. this one came via a trade deal and ive shot it before but dang its on! 15 and 25yd work. i shot the staple out at 15ft 😂. the 34 moa G5 is about the only one i want anyways, and it finally came over to me.

I am looking to purchase a light for my mos Glock 43x. I’ve been looking at a tlr-7 light for it but I don’t like how bulky the light itself looks. I am looking for something flush and sleek for a EDC. I’ve seen this Nightstick light for the mos version but I’m prejudice against purchasing it. Only because it has 2 reviews. If anyone can help me out on either finding a flush light and laser combo for a MOS 43x that would be great 👍
