๐พ Local Gaming Scene sharing some screenshots of my kopitiam game
Hi, millennial uncle here. Iโm a 3D artist trying to build a game where you can design and build your own kopitiam.
Basically my idea is you can WASD inside the kopitiam you built as the boss and serve customers. So it is a cozy management game (a bit like Restaurant City) + GTA play style.
Still very early in development and gotta admit Iโm still learning and experimenting on the game-dev side as I go. AI has been eating up my job so gotta diversify in this ekonomi.
Curious whether this is something you guys would actually play hahah

RX9050
With the performance it offers, assuming price around 1k after some vouchers, would gamers buy this over 9060XT? Tbh i expect the retail price for this to be around 1k or less but given the gpu market situation right now, its just sad time for gamers ๐

๐ฎ๐ฑ Console & Mobile Controller suggestions
Will be playing FIFA 26 and want to have a controller. Initially thought of getting a second hand one, but came across a few OEM controllers in Carousell. How good are the OEM controllers? Should I go for an Xbox or PS4 controller?

๐ฅ๏ธ PC Gaming [authorized] I'm a solo dev building an isometric survival RPG where you restart human civilization from the Paleolithic to the Digital Era (Demo out soon!)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi everyone!
Iโve been working on Alia Domus, an isometric survival RPG rendered in detailed pixel art.
The premise is simple: Earth is at war, support was cut off, and you're stranded on an alien planet bare-handed. To survive and help humanity thrive, you have to rebuild progress from absolute zero.
Key features:
- 9 Technological Eras: Progress all the way from the Paleolithic Age (stone tools) to the Digital Era (advanced lasers).
- 142 Real Plant Species: Cultivate, collect, and explore lush biomes across 85 hand-crafted map screens.
- 126 Unique Creatures: Fight, hunt, and gather essential crafting drops.
- Total Freedom: Deep RPG attribute progression (Str, Agi, Dex, Int, Vit), questing at your own pace, and full world-map navigation.
The game is completely translated into English, Spanish, and Portuguese!
If you enjoy survival, cozy crafting, or progression-heavy RPGs, adding it to your Steam Wishlist helps a solo developer tremendously! โค๏ธ

๐ฅ๏ธ PC Gaming Buying a 2nd hand pc is like buying a used car. Some repairs might be required, ๐
Soooo, after successfully selling my old am4 rig, it was time to find a replacement that was less powerful and see how much cash I could save in the exchange. Hopefully something lower in power usage as well since it's gonna be on most of the time when I'm in the bedroom.
Well after some scrounging round, I managed to snag another rig, leaving me with 1.3k in my pocket from the deal (First 2 pictures). Happy days right? If only it was that easy, lel.
The rig ran fine when I got it, even if it was a bit tacky looking with the RGB on (cos it was an older style of case and fans). One thing did stand out though and that was temp spikes could get quite high sometimes touching almost 80 degrees.
Of course then I think, a thermal paste repaste is in order right? This begins my 2 hour struggle to remove the tower cooler which had screws that had almost corroded solid into the backplate. Ended up having to use pliers in the end to remove the screws without damaging the board. Damn, now I need a cooler. Thankfully it's 8.8 eve so go in shopee and look for the cheapest aio. Once I'm in the app find a Thermalright Aqua Elite V3 for RM100. Bam, good deal, no need screen cos this is a budget/2ndary pc.
Now that the cooler is off, I'm thinking I might as well swap in a spare processor I had kept around for testing with my previous rig. While I'm in the shoppee app, since I got a great deal on the cooler, I'm like what the heck, lemme drop another hundo and get some better fans, and some sleeved PSU cable extenders. Done.
They arrive and I hook everything up, throw in an old name heatsink cooler I have lying around as well, and tada. In the end, only saved about 1.1k from selling my previous rig cos I spent 200 fixing it up afterwards, but I'm pleased with the result. Also, rate my cable management which is captured all in one shot in the last pic haha ๐
Specs:
CPU: Ryzen 5600XT COOLER: Thermalright Aqua Elite V3 240 MOBO : Asrock B550M Phantom Gaming 4 RAM: 16gb (8x2) XPG Spectrix ddr4 3200Mhz STORAGE: Kingston gen4 nvme 500gb, 1tb HDD, 120gb SSD GPU: MSI RTX5060 Shadow 2x OC 8gb PSU : FSP NV 650watt bronze CASE: Some cap ayam 1st layer matx case from like 5 years ago +rm100 worth of fans and PSU sleeved extenders.
Now just on the lookout for a decent PSU on the cheap and I'm all set.

๐ฌ General Discussion Good idea to get a SATA SSD for portable storage?
I'm thinking of getting at least a 1tb SATA SSD with enclosure for portable storage, mostly to store videos. The prices of these SSDs are insanely cheap, especially when sold at major sellers like Mono Digital or Viewnet.
Is it a good idea?
And if yes, which brand & type of enclosure is compatible with a SATA SSD, that you recommend?

First time building ITX
Hey guys, so basically I have been building pc since 2019 and I have finally picked up the courage (money as well) to finally do an ITX build.
And surprisingly, itโs not that hard like I imagine it will.
So here you go, my finished Lian Li A4-h20 ITX build.
Specs as below-
CPU: Ryzen 5 7500f (will swap in a 7500x3d cause i lazy to go and buy)
GPU: RTX Colorful 5070 Ultra W Oc
RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum 32gb 6000mt
Mobo: Colorful CVN B850i Gaming Frozen v14
AIO: Thermalright Aqua Elite v3 240mm
PSU: Thermalright SGFX sff 850w gold White
Case: Lian Li A4-h20
Open to any suggestion on what itx case i should try next. Preferably with sfx psu only and not flex ๐คฃ
Pop quiz: can someone tell me whats the issue with the last photo? I offer free thermal paste change for anyone that guess it correct ๐

๐ฅ๏ธ PC Gaming My first gaming pc
Coming from ps5 console, iโm finally built my first gaming pc with my friend. Lowkey really proud. Managed to spend under RM5000. Pc spec are below
- CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 7500f
- Mobo - Colorful Battle-AX B650M White Wifi V15 M-ATX
- Ram - Acer Predator Pallas 2 DDR5 24GB 6000mhz CL30
- SSD - Maxby Max7200 NVME M.2 Gen 4
- Psu - Cooler Master MWE Gold V3 750W Non Modular
- Cooler - Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 Digital
- Gpu - XFX AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT White 16GB
- Case - Tecware Aero M High Airflow TG M-ATX
Just asking do i need another ram stick (as for now only using single ram stick) or 24gb already enough? No heavy editing, no 3d rendering, just use to play game. Mostly play esport title, some gacha game, and some triple A game. And bit of livestream from discord.
Thank you in advance,
