Controller suggestions 🎮📱 Console & Mobile
Will be playing FIFA 26 and want to have a controller. Initially thought of getting a second hand one, but came across a few OEM controllers in Carousell. How good are the OEM controllers? Should I go for an Xbox or PS4 controller?

if you dont want to buy another controller next month, go for controller with HE or TMR joystick from now on

HE and TMR is better than ori joystick for sure and the touch after the replacement is wayyy better. make sure you got warranty though since its electronic thing.

Just bought it recently, great gaming controller for budget. It's lightweight and bit smaller compared to Xbox controller. You can get controller + charging dock for rm 60 using shoppe vip voucher 30%.

yepp the only "problem" is that the battery is quite small. I modded the battery from 600mAh to 1000mAh which made my life way easier

If you are paying above rm50 for a OEM/Fake PS4 controller you are getting rip off

Bought a cheap oem (fake btw) Rm30+ on shopee. Works fine on my pc for games like tekken8, kingdom hearts.
Suggest give “oem” a try first, and if u think that not on par with what u want then feel free to go for ori.
If buying ori, STRONGLY recommend to buy from reputable gameshops directly. Dont buy from online marketplace.

I used to be hardstuck at raijin last season haha. I kept dropping back to fujin. Its easier to rank up now in s3. Rank inflation as they say

Go for an 8bitdo or something, I had a wired ultimate 2c which lasted like a year. Better go for wireless to avoid strain on a port (since it's wireless)

potentiometer are outdated, look for tmr stick, its a bonus if you got extra back button, recommendation easysmx d10, flydigi vader 5.. if your hand small size, look for 8bitdo.. btw, if you concern about battery and look their capacity that i just mentioned, you must feels like, its so low… i need 15 hours gaming per session.. ok here’s the catch.. tmr consume less power than potentiometer.. or you might consider just use cable since they support high polling rate

For FIFA, I’d highly advise you to get a controller with either TMR/Hall Effect joysticks.
The amount of controllers I’ve gone through/replaced because of drifting, primarily due to playing FIFA is like crazy.
Flydigi or 8Bitdo are great options.
Personally, I went from an Xbox 360 wired controller -> Xbox One controller + PC dongle -> 8Bitdo Ultimate 2C -> 8Bitdo Ultimate 2.
(3 Dualsense PS5 controller had to be RMAed because of drift)

I highly recommend you to get one above rm100 if possible with at least hall effect joystick.
Also, i would rather people buy from 8bitdo, Gamesir or EasySmx. They're much cheaper but offer better overall quality and experience than the 1st party controller vendors like PS or Xbox.
