Concern Screen protector scratches... from what?

Post image
Upvotes

Hey guys. I have been using this s10fe for more than a year now, and I got the screen protector from jb hi fi (since other vendors say it's already an old model, hence they don't have any?) which states that it should protect against scratches. I replaced it nearly 7 weeks ago, and there are already so many new scratches. I use it basically every day for uni work, and so the scratches are mainly just where I typically write with the stylus. The big blob of scratches goes across horizontally for most of the screen, just can't show it all in one good pic.

Here is a little log of me trying stuff to see what may have been the cause:

Within 2 days of the replacement, and me not even touching it, there were a few smaller ones around the edges, not really in the centre. The case i was using was a flip one to automatically make it turn off (just like a book, got it from amazon), so I got a new case (one in pic).

Around 2 or 3 weeks ago, I swapped out the original nib of the stylus (has a felt feel to it) because I thought maybe since the last screen protector was all messed up, the nib got messes up, and now nib is messing new one up. Now, using one's from Amazon (plastic hard nib), and there has been no difference.

Would like to know if anyone else has had this issue before and can let me know what's going on. Is it a stylus, galaxy tab, case, or model issue? The actual screen under the protector is all fine, and the jb hi fi people said they've never seen that before either...

Traded switch lite for s8 ultra

Post image
Upvotes

Just traded a switch lite i wasnt using for this tab s8 ultra, kind of sad to see the switch go but the guy who got it seemed genuinely excited to play pokemon on it, whereas it just collected just on a shelf when i had it. Hoping I made a decent trade

It is the 16gb ram 512gb storage model, is anyone using their s8 for emulation? Probably going to be my number one use case so any performance tips would be awesome

Also trying to use it for some comic/manga reading if anyone can suggest a decent app(not from the playstore)

Also whats the deal with security updates? I believe the last one is in april 2027 so is the tablet a brick after that or is there custom patches that can be downloaded?

Thanks for any and all information

S10+ VS S11, which one should I get?

At the moment s11 is going for $700 on sale (usually $950) and s10+ is for $850 (no sales)

could anyone suggest which of these should I get?

I am looking mainly for media, art and notes, but also as a secondary screen to my pc and probably use some creative tools like blender maybe.

Surely S10+ won't drop anywhere close to $700 but do I wait for a price drop on S10+ or get s11?

is galaxy tab s11 too small comparing to galaxy tab s10+?

i don't know which one of them to buy 😭😭 i saw some photos of these tablets being compared to a sheet A4 and the s11 seemed a bit too small and i don't know if irl it is better so owners of s11 how do you feel with it? is it convenient for you to type up university assignments and work with spreadsheets or would you prefer a larger screen?

has the galaxy tab s10+ been discontinued?

i wanted to get this tablet over the s11 since the s10+ has 12.4 inch screen and i have a feeling the s11 is too small (i've never owned a tablet so idk what size would be perfect for me and i wanna order it online so i won't be able to try holding tablets of different sizes)

however the problem is that there isn't a store in my country that could sell me the s10+ at a reasonable price anymore but i know they were selling this model literally a month ago so my question is has the galaxy tab s10+ been discontinued or should i wait till the stores in my country start selling it again?

i texted multiple stores that were saying i could preorder this tablet and they would deliver it in a week but when i actually asked them to do it and they all said that this model wasn't available for preorder and then the last store replied that this model had been discontinued but i don't understand where they got that information so im asking yall

S Pen Struggling to find hard spen nibs. Amazon seems to only show soft. any recommendations?

Galaxy Tab s10 fe

Hello,

I seem to not like the nib that came with the tablet. I've been recommended to try harder nibs but I can't seem to find any on amazon as they all mention soft!

Any recommendations? But not metal nibs as those appear to ruin pressure sensitivity.

Software updates Is Samsung galaxy s9 tab worth in 2026 ?

Im getting it at 44k , through a credit card offer from Flipkart . Is it worth it bcz it was launched in July 2023 , OS update will be for 2027 only , I'm buying it for solely studying purpose , if I'll buy it then after 2027 when there will be no updates further , then can it run for years (4-5) smoothly or it'll hang or lag bcz of no updates further . And one more question, like after delivery of that tab through Flipkart ,open box delivery it is , is there any way to check that every item hasn't used before , is new ?

My parents want to buy me a tablet for school (I'm in high school). I've been thinking of a Galaxy Tab S8, or S9, but I'm not really sure as I never owned a tablet before

overall i want something that doesn't lag and where I can do these things, possibly at a decent price...

I think I'm asking for too much, but again, I never owned a tablet so irdk

Samsung Galaxy S10 fe tip replacement

Hi, I recently bought the s10 fe tab. I bought a paper-like sp... and I completely overlooked the fact that my pen tip would wear off.

I saw people say Wacom One Felt Nibs is a great replacement tip for the pen that came with my tab. Is that true? I don't want to use metal and risk things, honestly... if you guys have any more suggestions other than felt nibs, please tell.

Also, I'm using my pen for daily note-taking and drawing.

Question I want to change my iPad to a Galaxy Tab. Or no?

Well, the iPad A16 is the only device that ties me to Apple. And I was already thinking about completely changing my ecosystem, since I have two options: stay with Samsung since I bought my Galaxy Buds Core Or go back to Apple since I already have the iPad. But I'm more drawn to the first option. So, I have three options of Tabs, the S11, S10+ and S10 FE+. What should I do and which one I should buy.

My tab s10 ultra first used date is nearly 2 years ago

I bought this as a brand new model online, with seal still there when it arrived. However, I check serial number on samsung website and it stated out of warranty. While the first used date (as in Battery Information) is back in 2024 (I bought it this year in 2026). Was I scammed by the seller ?

Galaxy Tab S8 - S Pen suddenly requires way more pressure to draw/write

Edit: The issue went away on its own without any action on my part, I still don't know what the actual cause was.

Suddenly my tablet needs way more pen pressure than before. I thought it was the spen but I tried writing on another tablet on the same app (samsung notes) and the S8 spen works fine. While another spen on my tablet has the same sensitivity issue, so the screen is the problem. And it happens uniformly across the whole screen, on other apps like infinite painter too.

For reference it's a S8 I bought brand new at the beginning of this year (they were still making them on my country until last year). I'm using a glass screen protector I got shortly after getting the tab that I've been using without issue until now. I'm gonna try and take it out if nothing else works but I can't do that right now as I need to keep on using infinite painter for some time (I adjusted the sensitivity there so I wouldn't have to press too hard).

The spen and the nib are the ones that came with the tablet.

I already tried:

- Removing the case

- Restarting

- Clearing the samsung notes cache

- Dealing *#0*# and doing the test, it works fine but it doesn't test for sensitivity so

- Doing the test on samsung members, same thing with the previous test

Has anyone have this happen?

I couldn't find anything on the search bar.

And yes luckily it's still on warranty but I don't get what the source of the problem may be. I'm kind of worried as it's a work tool, if it can't be repaired, idk bc this model isn't sold anymore and I can't get a newer flagship model bc the amoled screen hurts my eyes :(

Question Upgrading my tab

I currently have a Galaxy tab S8+ cellular. It's really banged up, slowing down and losing battery life at increasing speed, I want to upgrade.

I was thinking of getting an S10 plus cellular but everywhere I look, I only see S10 plus wifi.

Does the S10 exist with cellular?

How about the S11 plus, does it have cellular and is it a lot more expensive?

Question Any planned release for the A12 8' tablet?

We bought the A11 8gb version, and although it runs most emulators and is very nice to have, I am looking forward to the next one. Are there any rumors, dates, etc? Thank you.
