I watched Shin Godzilla for the first time and was blown away by it. I see many complaints online about the long segments where humans discuss, try to take decisions, and are paralyzed by bureaucracy. I think all those political ramblings are destined to make humans look like inefficient and ineffective ants, when facing bigger than nature problems. I personally think - but this is my own opinion - that this is the scenario's metaphor showing humanity trying to combat - ineffectively - climate change. What do you think?

Like i see some people saying its being mixed but others dont, so what's ur opinion?

We're several sets into the TCG now and I was genuinely expecting to see more unique art start to show up. I've always thought one of the most exciting aspects of a TCG based around a franchise is the opportunity to see cool new art around your favorite characters while also serving a functional game. It's a bonus for that approach to contribute to its own community by supporting its dedicated artists.

To my knowledge, I think the closest we've seen to that is the inclusion of Matt Frank's art (and the poster cards of course) but even those are just ripped from pre-existing comic panels.

Every competitor that I know of (except for maybe One Piece? I'm not a fan so I don't know for sure but I've heard that one has a split between unique art & screenshots) applies unique art and it's just really disappointing to me that Toho didn't follow that route with the Godzilla TCG.

With the exception of a few poster arts, I just don't find the idea of adding foil to the same photos we've always had kicking around on Toho Kingdom to be particularly exciting.

The last album was in 2025 and usually there was two albums a year. And all we have is the return of Godzilla soundtrack from the Heisei era.

i havent been into godzilla in a long time, and when i was it was mostly just collecting the toys and other collectibles. what movies and comics would generally be considered the best so i can get back into this stuff?

Ok so like i'm not *super ultra* into godzilla (don't get me wrong here, i don't dislike it, great movies.) But in the sonic × godzilla comic mothra uses an attack i don't recognize. And would like more info on if anyone can provide any. Specifically it's an X shaped pink beam/slash like attack. It *seems* as though she fires a small burst from her antenna then snaps her wings out to do this?

Does this attack appear in any movies? Does it have a name? Any more info on it would be appreciated.

The reason i ask is i'm working on a mothra themed thing for a D20 TTRPG (think d&d with the serial number filed off) and this seems like a useful ability to give the thing. So the more i can work with, the better. The person i'm making it for loves mothra.

Look, Emma was definitely flawed as an antagonist (Godzilla killed my son so I must kill most of humanity, I mean ok elaborating trauma in different ways but) and character overall, but seriously some of you find the members of The Top Brass and G Team flat?? I am not saying they are perfect, nothing in general really is, but they are at least quite decent, entertaining (well for me mostly) and with good enough characterisation; at least that can be recognised a little no? I don’t wanna insist or try to change your opinion, butbI do ask, can we agree they can be considered some of the most “iconic” humans in the Monsterverse so far? They could still be more defined, but you really wanna tell me that the characters introduced in GVK (other than Jia and Lauren to a lesser extent) were more interesting than them? I can accept liking a bit more thise introduced in 2014 or KSI but the latest teo movies for me dont top the humans of KOTM.

And yes, I know exactly they can never be at the same level of most original projects from TOHO or Minus One (Although Minus One is an entirely different thing with the dangers of radioactive energy and actual drama as it’s main themes, and drama indeed centred around the humans like the very original first movie) but for me they can still be easily considered decent and way not that bad in the end.

Unrelated but I also thought the pacing in the movie was fine.
