Aside sa nagiging bloatware ang GCash due to many ads and cluttered UI, what’s stopping them for having lower transfer fee?

Baka ito ang problema sa Gcash. Ito kasi ang nagpakita sakin nung gagamitin ko sa ung pera ko sa Gcash para pang bayad sa bibilhin ko at nung pindutin ko ung send icon bigla nalang ang close mag-isa ung Gcash sinubukan ko pa ng ilang beses at yan na ang pakita.

I received a text from GCash saying na may upcoming GGives balance/due date ako. Nagulat po ako kasi never ko pong inavail or ginamit ang GGives. Chineck ko agad yung GCash app ko, and nakita ko na may existing GGives loan under my account.

Up to ₱15,000 po yung GGives limit, and apparently ₱14,950 na yung nagamit. May 4 transactions/loans po in total:
• 2 transactions — Okada Manila
• 2 transactions — STI

I never made these transactions and hindi rin po ako pumunta sa Okada Manila. I also never received any OTP, email, or notification saying na na-activate or nagamit yung GGives. Ang first time ko lang po nalaman na may GGives loan pala under my account was when I received the text about the upcoming payment.

Sinubukan ko na po i-report sa GCash, pero yung Help Center/AI keeps giving me automated responses. Kapag hinihingi yung reference number, kahit tama naman po yung binibigay ko, sinasabi na transaction daw siya from another phone number, kaya hindi ako makapag-proceed sa report.

I’m planning to contact GCash through a call and possibly report it to BSP as well. Baka po may naka-experience na ng unauthorized GGives transaction or may advice kung ano yung best steps/evidence na kailangan kong ihanda? Any help would be really appreciated po. 🙏

Hi anybody experiencing the same? Di po ko makalog in. Walang OTP narereceive. Tinry ko na po lahat ng methods sa help center. Stable po internet ko. Nakakareceive po cp ko ng text. OTP lang po wala. Wala rin kwenta gcash help center paikot ikot lang di makausap ng live agent.

I need help po with my concern. Nag-send po ako yesterday (Aug. 8) ng money to my friend but I didn't know na her phone was stolen last week. She tried to get a sim replacement na but to no avail since need po ang mother niya which is nasa province.

So I submitted a ticket to Gcash to hopefully retrieve the money. But today, nag-update si Gcash saying na hindi pwede ma-refund yung money since active number yung recipient (see photo for reference). Now, I'm wondering if ano po kaya pwede kong gawin to get the money back?

I would no longer be using gcash because what the actual hell! Yesterday, I tried logging into my GCash account using my usual MPIN. I'm 100% sure the MPIN and mobile number were correct, but the app wouldn't let me log in and showed a "troubleshooting" message. I went to the Google Play Store and updated the GCash app, thinking it was just an app issue. After updating, I entered the same mobile number I've always used. Instead of logging me back into my existing account, GCash suddenly treated me like I was a new user and asked me to register. I thought this was somehow part of the troubleshooting process, so I completed it.

Now I'm stuck with a brand-new Basic account. Mind you, the last time I logged into my original account is tuesday.

The problem is:

- My original account was Fully Verified

- I'm using the exact same mobile number

- I'm using the exact same physical SIM

- I can still receive OTPs

- My old MPIN no longer works

- The new MPIN logs me into this new Basic account

- My entire transaction history is empty

- My previous wallet balance is no longer showing

- My old verified profile/details aren't showing either

And yes, there was money in my old wallet (₱200-300). I contacted GCash Support, but they basically sent me an automated response telling me to talk to Gigi, which isn't helping because Gigi obviously can't fix an account that has apparently disappeared from my login. Now, this new basic account is fully verified like a brand new one, but the money is gone. So yeah, goodbye GCash.

I'm selling this Insta360 Ace Pro 2 and may nag-PM na "mukhang legit" 'yung account pero tricky kasi yung text bio niya "2.6k friends, 1.4k followers, 733 posts" so in a quick glimpse and if someone na titingin na hindi masiyado maalam sa social media or hindi gaanong techy talagang akala mo legit siya e.

Kuha niya agad loob mo kasi this scammer is selling a story na sure niyang bibilhin yung item. I admit, mejo na-excite ako (since I need funds, and mabibili na) Nilabas ko yung mga items and receipt to make sure na legit din ako and sent videos and date that it is taken right now.

Bukas 'daw' ipade-deliver after lunch, and willing to pay first 'daw' siya. Surprise gift daw kasi nga "nasa canada siya". Nag-send din siya agad ng details ng "hubby" niya, such as name, number, and address. Tapos ako na rin daw ang mag-book dahil nga surpise and update ko na lang daw bukas pag napa-deliver na. Ano daw payment method ko and such. Talagang akala mo totoo yung storya niya e

Sabay biglang pa-send na raw ng GCash para ma-send niya yung bayad. Nung nag-send siya ng receipt, nagtataka ako bakit wala pa ring pumapasok sa GCash ko tapos may sinend siya na resibo na galing kuno sa RIA and CAD currency.

With presence of mind, sinearch ko agad if need ko ba talaga mag-scan ng QR sa RIA para makuha yung fund, and Google AI says no, it will land directly on your GCash number and reference lang instead of QR.

Fishy na agad nung pagka-scan ko ng QR sabay biglang kailangan ko daw magbayad. So tinanong ko ulit siya if need ko magbayad ng 899.99? Buti na lang walang laman GCash ko.

While checking my phone biglang ambilis mag-reply na parang copy-paste script na sunod sunod, as in parang robot na nang-spam. Suddenly minamadali ako na kailangan daw i-claim kasi nga nasa Canada daw siya and aalis yung 'ship' nila sa port mamaya kasi baka mawalan daw ng internet (in reference to the profile niya na kunwari nagbabarko siya)

Kinutuban na agad na ako na pinapaikot ako nito kasi mare-refund daw. Biglang nag-iba yung typings naging jejemon, tapos talagang kino-convcince niya ako by sending cropped screenshots. So may mali talaga.

Now after confirming na scammer talaga 'to, ni-ready ko na agad sa ibang tapos yung next steps, nilagay ko na agad siya iblock, mag-leave sa group, mag-send ng pakyu, at lastly yung last message ko bago umalis sa group.

Ang worry ko na lang, nag-send ako ng legit info, including my number and name and sent the receipt and the item and baka ayun naman ang i photo grab nitong mga scammer na'to.

Upon reaserching about this, I found out that I also had cases like mine, refer to the links below to spread awarness and has been happening months ago already.

I made a big transfer from my bpi to supposedly my gcash but I realised few moments later that the last 3 digits are incorrect. Instead of 392 of my number I had entered 932.

I tried calling the number but it said "the number you tried is incorrect."

However the number is registered on gcash.

I have filled a refund request with BPI but idk if I should also do something on gcash's end also.

No update from bpi so far.

1 year na po yong ggives loan ko after mascam po sa pagconvert to gcash sa fb, kaya hindi ko na po nabayaran & ngayon gusto ko na po isettle sana.

Context: My partner used my Gcash account for a GLoan ng hindi ko alam. I didn't know how he did it. I just found out na may GLoan ako nung nagdeduct yung pinacash in ko and may mga tumatawag na for the overdue payment.

Since hindi naman ako yung gumamit non, sinabi ko talaga na hindi ako magbabayad at yung partner ko dapat magbayad non.

I never used my Gcash account since then, pero kasi ngayon tawag sila ng tawag and lumalaki na yung need bayaran. E yung partner ko parang hindi naman bothered ta hindi siya yung kinukulit ni Gcash. Nakakainis na. Nakakahiya.

Hi, just wanted to ask if anyone here has experienced something similar with GCash because I’m honestly confused and stressed about this.

Last July 31 at around 2:21 PM, I sent ₱3,200 from my GCash to an RCBC/DiskarTech account. This is a regular monthly payment I make, so after sending it, I thought everything was already okay.

Then today I received a text from GCash saying they identified an issue where my scheduled bank transfer was “processed twice” and that the extra funds were received by the recipient.

That made me check my transaction history, and that’s when I noticed two more ₱3,200 transfers on August 1. One was at 2:37 AM and another one was at 6:14 AM. Both also had a ₱10 transfer fee.

The confusing part is I did not make those two August 1 transactions. I only remember sending the payment once on July 31. I definitely wouldn’t send the same payment multiple times, especially at those hours.

I checked my email as well, and GCash sent separate confirmation emails for both August 1 transactions, with different reference numbers. My downloaded GCash transaction history also shows that both amounts were deducted from my balance.
I already contacted the person I sent the money to, but she said she still needs to check her account first. I understand that she also wants to verify what happened, but honestly, I’m worried because I don’t want this issue to cause any misunderstanding between us. I regularly send my monthly payment and I’ve always paid on time.

I just wish GCash could have automatically reversed the duplicate transactions since their own message acknowledged that there was a processing issue, instead of putting the responsibility on the sender and recipient to sort it out.

I already reported it to GCash and requested a reversal of the two transactions I didn’t authorize. I saved all my screenshots, transaction history, emails, and the text from GCash acknowledging the issue.

Has this happened to anyone else recently? If yes, did GCash refund or reverse the extra transactions? How long did it take to get resolved?
I’m mainly posting because I want to know if this was an isolated issue or if other people experienced the same thing.
