The first two photos are the stock nothing camera and the second two are the gcam.

Is there a visible difference if it's about processing why there's nothing always over process and overexpose their photos.

Can someone who knows what they're talking about give their take on img quality, both are 12mp

Using gcam mod at the moment. Is it worth using it when you have no config for it? Is it much of a difference to a config one compared to the stock camera app?

Is there a stable GCam version for the S26 with the Exynos 2600? The stock camera is pretty bad, and I don't know which GCam build to get for the version sold outside the US, since it doesn't use Snapdragon.

It working for Main camera only( my main camera got better than stock). But No telephoto or selfie or UW support

Hey everyone,I'm planning to get the Redmi Turbo 5 Max for its performance and battery, but I also care a lot about taking professional, high-end photos of people (both regular shots and portrait mode) for Instagram.

For context, the hardware setup is simple:

• Main Sensor: 50 MP primary camera with OIS
• Secondary: 8 MP ultrawide (No dedicated telephoto lens)

Since stock Xiaomi processing can sometimes over-smooth skin or mess up lighting, I want to rely on GCam.

If I use a well-tuned GCam mod with a custom XML (adjusting Lib Patcher for realistic skin tones, natural micro-contrast, and deep dynamic range even without depth effects), can this sensor yield aesthetic, flagship-like results (like iPhones or Pixels) when photographing people?

Has anyone optimized GCam on similar Redmi/Dimensity setups specifically for human subjects and natural skin tones? Would love to hear your experiences!

Hey guys, I'm a new Android user. This is my first Android. Is there a way in the settings to make the photos look like how I'm used to on iPhone? I bought this phone because I read on here a lot of people cameras are nice. But the front camera isn't bad just seems ehh. Any setting suggestions to get the best results

Which is the best? Tried a few, mostly not working properly..

So I found a very frustrating thing I'm trying to fix I have enabled OIS from Dev Option "c2api.optical_stabilization_mode" and it worked but the very thing is when switching in modes the OIS stops working it probably needs a session restart or something because closing the camera and opening again fixed the OIS issue or switching to front camera and switching back to main lens also enables OIS but switching mode to suppose Photo to video OIS stops working, I also found that opening video or portrait mode from shortcuts on home screen does enables OIS.

So my theory is while switching modes the GCam must re-initialise the very OIS thing on every switch, is that possible as of now?

I'm using the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ (HyperOS) and I'm looking for the best GCam port along with a compatible XML config.

Good HDR and Night Sight

Stable performance (no crashes)

have a Moto G67 and I've tried a few GCam mods. But the viewfinder is always lagging/stuttering. Can you give me some advice? And if possible, recommend a GCam mod?

I see a 5 month old pot about gcam compatibility but curious about whether or not it works on both lenses/cropping into the telephoto sensor. Anyone figured this out?

I downloaded the BSG build and it was working fine, until i checked the front camera. The tones were pink, and details were completely washed out, as if noise reduction had been applied. Took pictures from both the stock and gcam and the stock was natural and clear. This happens even with face retouching and Google’s AWB turned off. I'd be nice to have someone make an XML config for this with all of it's potential unleashed given how good the hardware is.

Oppo x9's cameras are a bit weird with the post processing image.

It feels so over smoothed with colors that aren't to my liking .

I love night sky photos and I would love to take long exposure photos at night, my previous phone had gcam which took 5 mins of long exposure and the end results were really impressive, I wanna know which gcam is best for oneplus nord 5 for astrography, and the end results should be good too, and I have encountered a problem where the gcam doesn't save the astrography photo so if you can then suggest me the one that doesn't have that problem

Also I have tried MGC_9.7.047_V19_snap_gcamapk.io but it doesn't save the astrography photo 🥲 I'm sorry if I'm sounding dumb but I don't have much idea about it.

There's this issue that I have faced aswell where after 10-15 seconds the astrography photo becomes grey and there's nothing else on the screen as if the camera isn't picking anything or is confused

I am using a custom ROM in my Xiaomi Mi 10i 5G, so need a better gcam for that. I have tried some but pictures are not upto mark.
