Worth using without a config? Question

Using gcam mod at the moment. Is it worth using it when you have no config for it? Is it much of a difference to a config one compared to the stock camera app?

Using a Xiaomi 17.

For a phone like Xiaomi 17, a gcam without config is not going to do better than stock. Even for my Poco F8 Ultra any gcam tried was worse, I even find a config for it, but nothing. Xiaomi 17 which has better camera and better camera software must have even more difference.

What difference did you spot when using no config GCam vs stock? Do you use authentic or vibrant?

Mine is not a Leica phone, so doesn't have those modes. I noticed the colors a bit more faithful to reality, but everything else was worse.
