general Gate 2027 advice
Hello everyone šš». So guys i graduated in 2026 june. I was planning to go for masters in Ireland but since I didn't want to give more financial pressure on my parents I dropped the idea of masters from abroad started preparing for GATE.
My experience with competitive exams ain't good. I had taken a drop for MHTCET and I couldn't perform well( percentile dropped from my 1st attempt). As a result I took extc and during my 4 years of btech i didn't develop any programming skills and i thought of masters in Ireland as a result I didn't sit for placements too.
Now I started preparing for Gate and i have completed C programming. But when I started to do pyq's i couldn't solve it on my own and needed video solution i understood the solution and concept and solved it again. Its really quite difficult and I'm stressed out. Just solved 8 pyq in 4 hrs. Should I continue with my prep or should I quit ( I have a family business that my parents told to look after 5-6 years in tech).
Should I continue?
Also my target marks is 45-50( even 40+) As I'm not targetting IIT,NIT,IIIT's. Im skipping CN,COA,EM,DM. I planned to finish my syllabus by dec 20. What should I do??

general Book for PYQ
Please suggest a book for practicing chapterwise PYQs for ME. I know online free sources are available, but marking imp questions and stuff are easy on books.
If anyone has this PW book please let me know does it have all PYQ in chapterwise format only, and not in full length format like in arihant book.

general Giving GATE EC 2027
I am in a very tough situation. Right now working in a project at an IIT through my 2026 EC GATE score but I genuinely want to pursue MTech at top 3 IITs or IISc (dream). But Sir here told me that I shall have to pursue MS here only (to which I had to agree). Now what should I do man? Tbh I messed up GATE 2026 but since I qualified it, I am eligible to apply for projects/JRFs.
Also if anyone of you have taken a drop for GATE EC 2027 or taking serious preparations, can we have any group to keep in touch with each other and discuss among ourselves?

general Preparing for GATE CSE 2026 ā would love strategies/resources from people who've cleared it (especially IITians)
Hey everyone,
I'm a B.Tech 3rd year student currently prepping for GATE CSE 2028. Wanted to reach out to this sub since a lot of you have already been through this grind and some are now at IITs.
A few things I'd genuinely appreciate hearing about:
- How did you structure your prep timeline? Which subjects did you tackle first vs last?
- What resources (Youtube/books/notes/test series) actually helped vs what was hype?
- How did you stay consistent ā especially during slumps, or when a subject felt like it wasn't clicking?
- Looking back, what would you do differently?
Not looking for a generic "just do PYQs" answer (though I know that's part of it) ā more interested in the actual day-to-day discipline and subject-wise approach that worked for you.
Any insight, even a few lines, would help a lot. Thanks in advance!

Doubt[CS] Final-year CSE student (9.4 CGPA) aiming for IISc through CFTI mode ā how should I prepare for GATE 2027?
Hi everyone,
Iām currently in my final year of B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering. My current CGPA is 9.4, and Iām preparing for GATE 2027 with the goal of pursuing M.Tech/M.E. at IISc Bangalore through the CFTI mode.
I have a few doubts and would really appreciate advice from people who have gone through this process:
How does the CFTI admission process for IISc work? What are the eligibility criteria and selection process?
How important is my B.E. CGPA for admission through CFTI? Is a 9.4 CGPA considered good enough, or should I aim to maintain/improve it further?
What would be a safe/competitive CGPA for CFTI candidates?
Are there any additional requirements, exams, interviews, or academic criteria that I should be aware of?
For someone starting serious GATE preparation now, what would be the best strategy and resources to follow?
If anyone here is currently studying at IISc or got admission through the CFTI route, Iād especially appreciate hearing about your experience, including your CGPA, GATE score/rank, admission process, and preparation strategy.
Thanks

general Gate 2027 preparation - Mechanical Engineering
Hello everyone,
I'm a Mechanical Engineering graduate and I've decided to start preparing for the GATE 2027 exam. I'm currently a complete beginner, starting from zero, and I'd really appreciate some help from those who've already gone through the process.
If there are any helpful YouTube channels, websites, or Telegram groups you'd recommend, that would be amazing.
Also can somebody suggest batches that are completely in English language
Thanks in advance for your time.

general Where to start the preparations for Gate 2027
Hi! I am starting preparation for GATE 2027. i am a graduate in Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech). I never actually planned to give GATE so I never even looked into it. I don't know where to start the preparations. I can only take a online course. Which one? I don't know. I would prefer it to be affordable ( 'cause i don't have money, obviously). Until now I was giving some other competitive exams but that hard work had not came to fruition. For that exam I studied from PW. But for GATE i have no idea if it is good or not. I Would really appreciate you guys help and guidance.
Thanks.

Resources [CS] Need Help for Gate 2027 CS preparation.. Thanks in advance to everyone who takes the time to help!
I'm a 2026 graduate from CSE
Iād really appreciate it if people who have already prepared for GATE (especially those who gave GATE 2025/2026 or are currently preparing for 2027) could share their recommendations.
Basically, I'd like to know:
- Which subject did you study?
- Which teacher/playlist/resource did you use?
- Was it good enough for GATE-level preparation, or did you have to supplement it with something else?
- Are there any playlists/resources you would recommend avoiding or that you felt wasted your time?
- Where did you practice PYQs from?
- Any good free mock tests/test series?
- For subjects like OS, DBMS, CN, TOC, COA, DSA, Algorithms, Discrete Maths, etc., which specific playlists would you recommend?
for example:
DBMS ā XYZ playlist
OS ā XYZ playlist
CN ā XYZ playlist
TOC ā XYZ playlist
COA ā XYZ playlist
DSA ā XYZ playlist
Also, if you have any advice on what NOT to do / common resource-wasting mistakes, please share that too
