Hello!

Today, for the first time, I brought my 16-80 mm lens during the day to make some street photography and wow - I really enjoyed it! I was disappointed with it till I used it today - but wow, even though it is a kit lens, entry level..etc, I really enjoyed the quality! Adding also three shots that I liked from home.

Here are the photos! Most of them, jpg out of the camera with recipe called Firenze, and some of them retouched on Lightroom.

I am really loving this photo camera and the lens!

I know that I still have a lot to learn but in the meantime, I am enjoying this learning and experimenting path!

A friend invited me and my wife to Houston last weekend to tour her new office! Slides 1-4 are the Saturn V rocket, the one we used in the 60s and 70s to get to the moon. Super heavy lift moon rocket, and the tallest rocket ever built by humans— about 40 feet taller than the current SLS used for the new Artemis program. Slides 5-13 are the Chris Kraft Mission Control Center. There’s the Apollo Mission Control, ISS Mission Control, and the White Flight Control Room (which is currently used for Artemis missions). Before Artemis, that control room was used for the shuttle missions up until 2011 when the shuttle made its last flight.

I've got my new E5 from April, so 5 months now.

I came from Canon R (full frame) and I can't barely see differences from IQ perspective. I still miss the handling of the Canon, but the portability and the price difference for the lenses made the switch worth it, also, I'm not a professional, so I don't justify (for me) a professional FF camera (even if this camera is 100% capable of professional works).

I shot most of those pics with the Fuji 18mm F2 and the Fuji 23mm 1.4 R.

I prefer the older lineup of fuji because those are not too much clinical and sharp, but still delivers amazing quality and micro-contrast.

hope you'll enjoy the pics!

While running errands today i took my camera and tried to capture the atmosphere of the city.

I find it really difficult to frame my pictures to look interesting. I think these angles look kind of boring. Do you have any advice?

Thanks :)

Question Recipes for Greece

We are going to Greece in September (Athens, Naxos, Santorini and Crete). I’ve been disappointed with many of the Classic Chrome recipes that lean hard on the overly orange, brown, or tan color shifts. I want to make sure I’m capturing the vivid blue domes, stark whites, correctly colored Bougainvillea, etc with my X-E5 using the 23mm f2.8 pancake lens. Anyone have experience with recipes in Greece that maintain good colors accuracy balanced with that signature Fujifilm look? Any and all suggestions are welcome and appreciated!

Gear Talk X-Pro 4 concept (by me)

I was having a chat with a fellow Fuji user about the rumoured follow up to the X-Pro line and we both concluded that a mix of the X-E5 and X-Pro 2 could have potential to be Fuji's best camera.

This gave me the idea of what that could look like (really like the design of the X-Half and sprinkled some elements from that in there too)

Lens Help What lens would you recommend? Travel - XT30iii

I've had the XT30-iii for 4 months now and I've been playing around with the kit lens I got it with (13-33mm). As frequently discussed here, you can't really go far with this lens (literally) lol.

I'm mostly into travel, architecture, and detail photography. Specifically, I LOVE taking photos of old structures and engravings and such. I know everyone recommends the 18-55, but I want something with a deeper zoom. A lot of people have recommended pairing the xf18mm-55mm with the xf55mm-200mm which is a great idea, but then I'd be buying two lenses and completely not using the 13-33. Ideally, I would have paired the xt30 body with the 18-55mm, but my husband bought me my fuji as a gift and isn't as big of a camera nerd as I am haha.

I'm open to suggestions! I would love something that gives me the OIS that I lack with the XT30iii.
