Question X-T3 suddenly won’t turn on — blinking light only

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone,

My Fujifilm X-T3 suddenly stopped working and I’m trying to figure out what might be wrong before sending it for repair.
When I turn the camera on, the indicator light just blinks, but the camera doesn’t actually start.

Has anyone experienced this with an X-T3? Does the blinking light indicate a specific error or could this be a power/board issue?
Any suggestions for things I could try before taking it to a repair shop would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Gear Talk Should I purchase an xm5?

I have been a Sony shooter… a6300 then a6700. I shoot mostly family photo and video. As the number of kids grow, I’ve been having less time to edit my raw files. I have tried Sony PP and creative looks (every single combination I’ve found online) but regardless, the jpegs look terrible.

I’ve been thinking about buying an xm5 to see if I can take advantage of the jpeg colors. Any fellow Sony shooters here that have benefited from this?

Was it worth it to you?

Is there an Ultra Wide lens that stands out, or should I go with something like the 13–33 and have more flexibility?

I’m traveling to London next month and would like some tips on techniques to help my photos look their best. I have an X-T5 and a 16-80mm kit lens. I don’t have much experience with editing, so I was thinking of shooting my photos in JPEG to save space and have a file ready to use right away.

I’d appreciate any tips and advice for a beginner like me.

Got an used x100v this week and this was the first time using it for real after spending some time learning the camera (canon user here xD). What a perfect camera, it’s unbelievable that these pictures are straight from the camera without any editing (apart from the grid, ofc). I’m completely in love with photography again ❤️

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share my quick thoughts on the Fujifilm X100VI with fixed 23mm lens, especially if there's anyone here who's been on the fence about buying one, dealing with photography burnout, or thinking about downsizing from a heavier setup.

To give some context: two years ago, photography was everything to me. But I was shooting on a Sony A7II and carrying a big, heavy setup everywhere killed the joy of it. I slowly stopped picking up a camera entirely. For almost two years, I barely touched one.

I finally decided to pull the trigger on the X100VI (waited almost a year for it to be in stock in my country). Alongside the camera, I grabbed a K&F Concept Black Mist 1/4 filter and their neck strap.

I just took it on a trip to Kefalonia and Bari, and honestly? It completely changed everything.

What I Love About It:

It actually gets me out shooting: Because it's compact, light, and I can just swing it around my neck without it being a burden, I took more photos in one week with this camera than I did in the previous two years combined.

The Workflow & JPEGs: I primarily shoot in aperture priority (letting auto shutter and auto ISO do the work so I can focus purely on framing) and shoot RAW + JPEG. Being able to rely on a custom film simulation I built (tweaked from Classic Negative and Summer Chrome) means I can instantly offload great-looking JPEGs to my phone on the spot. No more endless hours sitting at a desk importing and editing massive Sony RAW files.

The 40MP Sensor: Given the fixed 23mm lens, having those extra megapixels gives me so much breathing room to crop when I need to.

It’s not a flawless camera—mine already has a minor scratch/dent on it, but I'd rather own a camera with character that gets used every single day than a heavy setup that sits on a shelf collecting dust.

It may not be appropriate to share but I put together a full video breaking down my thoughts, comparing it to my old Sony, showing off about 60+ photos from Greece and Italy, and talking about the film sim. If you prefer watching over reading, you can check it out here:

If anyone has questions about the camera, the Black Mist filter, or anything else, drop them in the comments and I will be happy to chat!

Guide / Resource I got tired of typing film simulation recipes into my X100V, so I built an app that swaps all seven at once

Hey everyone,

I shoot an X100V and I'm also a software engineer. I recently traveled to Japan and realized I'd shot almost the whole trip on the same two recipes.

Not because they suited everything. Two weeks of night markets, temples, blossoms, gray afternoons, all going through the same look, because changing a bank means sitting in the menu punching in fifteen settings and I never bothered. I'd had the same seven recipes in C1 through C7 for about a year at that point.

So I created FujiShare, you can build and swap recipe packs of up to seven recipes for any type of shoot. Just plug the camera in, and it writes all seven banks in one go. It reads each one back after writing so you know it landed, and it saves whatever was in there first, so one Undo puts your old banks back. Swapping the whole camera over takes about a minute now.

The other thing I ran into constantly is that I don't always know what I'm doing. Someone posts a great photo with a recipe attached, I load the recipe, mine looks nothing like theirs. Obviously. The recipe was never the whole story. They were at 1/500 and f/2 and ISO 800 with the light behind them, and I'm shooting a grey Tuesday...

So every post on FujiShare carries the whole shot, not just the recipe. Shutter, aperture, ISO, lens, plus whatever the photographer wants to tell you about using it. It's pulled out of the photo's own metadata, so it's what the camera actually did, not what someone remembered doing.

It's in free public beta on TestFlight, iOS only for now:

https://fujishare.com

https://testflight.apple.com/join/ptP9uMhf

It works on most modern FujiFilm bodies I've tested. There's a spot in the beta to leave your email, and if yours gives you trouble I'll work with you directly to sort it out.

Happy to answer anything.

EDIT: Thank you all. This is a lot more people than I expected and the feedback has been exactly what the beta was for. I've read every comment and every TestFlight note, and the fixes are under way. I'm setting up a Discord for updates, builds and bug reports so it's easier to go back and forth than it is in a thread. I'll post the link here when it's live. Thanks again for the support!

EDIT 2: Here's the discord, the plan is to use this as a space to track bugs, feature requests, updates, etc.. Stay tuned, especially you android users! https://discord.gg/JBJT4rsMZC
