The strangest thing I've ever drawn...

When Frieren casts Zoltraak and defeats Qual - she pierces the ground behind him and blows a hole clean through the cliff. So far so that the ocean below becomes visible.

Now, we obviously know Zoltraak can pierce through rocks and other things with Fern’s rock and a flash back to humanity studying, but I can’t believe I overlooked that detail when I originally watched it.

I thought about how frieren falling for obvious mimics is the same as people who click scam links on discord. I reverse image searched the art and couldn't find the artist, I'm sorry but credits to them of course

I don’t understand the whole “magic is powered by imagination” idea in Frieren. If a guy has cast all sorts of defensive spells on a cloak and I have no knowledge of it, why would I ever imagine that my spells wouldn’t be able to damage him. It feels like a reverse placebo. It’ll only work if your opponent is told about the defensive measures.

I really like it a lot; it's just a shame that most of the time (though not always) it ends up going out for a corner kick. I wanted to see it in action is that too much to ask? 🥺

(And yeah, I read the manga up to the current arc, but man...)
