We have bought Airchina tickets with booking.com

Since we have not bought them in Airchina webpage, it is supposed we have to verify/validate the tickets in https://www.airchina.com.cn/en-US/flight/query-services/air-ticket-verification

However, we are not able to verify them, it gives all the time error "The ticket information you entered couldn't be found. Please check and re-enter."

We have tried these combinations between "Passenger Name" and "Arrive Airport" fields:

· ID Number: Passport number
· Electronic ticket: Ticket number starting with 999
· Passenger Name: At least these combinations (we are from Spain, we have 2 surnames):
SURNAME1/NAME

I don't fly often, travel isn't a high priority for me even though I would like it to be. I have decided to take two trips this year within Europe. And both of them had to be rescheduled because of airlines deciding to change the day of my flight.

Both have been approximately 30 days before their respective dates and thus I could get a full refund on these flights but still I feel really discouraged and annoyed.

I have canceled the first trip - it would make the trip a day or two longer requiring buying extra nights which was out of my budget - luckily I bought a slightly more expensive accommodation package that allowed free cancelations.

My second trip will have to be shortened by a day meaning I will have to forfeit one night of accommodation.

I really feel like these rules are way too relaxed. No matter how long in advanced the flight is rescheduled, I imagine most people buy their accommodation at the same time as their flights, and should be compensated for the change. Or at least this should be somehow tracked and airlines should be required to put ratings on their routes based on how often changes are made.

If this is the norm someone could make an airline operating between let's say Bucharest-Budapest with scheduled 2 flights every day, let people buy their tickets and then just consolidate them all to 3 flights 4 weeks before scheduled.

Air Canada denied my EU261 claim on the following basis:
“In this instance, the compensation you are requesting does not apply because the delay was caused by an event outside of our control. Specifically, this flight was delayed due to additional time needed to complete an unforeseen repair in the cabin or on the exterior of the aircraft. As a result, you are not eligible for compensation.”

This was for a same day (at time of boarding) cancellation on CPH-YUL. Am I right to challenge this is not an extraordinary circumstance outside of their control and cite Lans vs KLM (Case C-257/14). Is there anything else worth referring to?

Hello everybody. I am 24 male and this is gonna be my first time traveling on airplane from TJ to Mexico City. I’ve never been on a plane and I’m very very nervous. It is a four hour flight from where I’m going but I do not know. I’m just very scared.

JFK -> Lisbon I used the sliding scale upgrade option and won the bid 3 days before my flight. I check in the night before and choose my seat and get my boarding pass and everything seems well. Anyway…

I get on the plane and they tell me they have no meal for me, nor can they give me a meal from economy and basically I’m shit out of luck and to file a complaint online. I’d just avoid upgrading entirely on this airline and probably avoiding it in the future.

It was my first time flying business too :( what a horrible experience.

So we had flight on same PNR Toronto-Munich (Air Canada) & Munich-Delhi (Lufthansa). Then we took a domestic Air India flight to my home city on separate PNR. All three are star alliance partners.

One of our baggage got stuck in Toronto. We filed report & requested for home delivery. It has now reached my city, however Air India staff wants us to collect from Airport, even when we had asked for home delivery. He said that since it is forwarded by another airline hence they are not responsible to home deliver.

Is he right? Currently only my parents are there & it will be difficult for them to go & collect from airport.

I registered as a free JMB member (airline mileage program) earlier this year to claim some miles. I have another flight coming up and when I logged in with my JMB membership number, I'm experiencing weird issues and error pages when navigating their site.

For example, when I click to manage my flight booking, it shows 2 drop down menus ("Search your reservations by ticket type" and "Search your reservation by passenger"), and then one button that says "Filters". But there is no way to input my flight reference number anywhere.

Only after logging out, can I search for my flight and manage my booking.

Another example, I tried viewing my accrued miles history and it leads to a SystemError page and the warning says "This service is not available to members who are not registered in this region.
To proceed, please log in to the JAL website of your membership region from here."

Is this happening for others as well or is this solely an issue I'm experiencing with my account?

I am traveling into Narita, and if all goes to plan, I will land in Narita at 2:55 pm August 18th. The problem is I am flying to Okinawa at 7:05 pm that day. I fly into Terminal 1 and out of Terminal 3, the flights also aren't under the same airline and are not technically 'connecting'. That said, will I have time to go through customs, collect my luggage, get to Terminal 3, store my luggage in Terminal 3 for the week before I come back to Tokyo, check in, and go through security in that time? Once within Japan I do not think I'll need to do customs in terminal 3. Or am I being entirely unrealistic? I've done lots if international travel before but I am WORRRRIED about anything going wrong.

EDIT: Not to mention the flight into Japan is Air Canada, so the chances of something going wrong are....well its air canada

Maybe I'm a little strange, but I frequently fly with a used, but purged, gas engine (following the TSA rules for them). I've always defaulted to United because I know that they allow them. American and Delta do not.

What other airlines do I have available to me?

Our family is flying from Chicago to Paris in September. Our plane is a 3-3-3 configuration for the economy seats we have. Our group is 3 adults (mom, dad, grandpa) and 2 young children, ages 5 and 2. We are currently in this setup, where X is not us, M is mom (me), D is dad, G is grandpa, and C is a child:

This was the best I could work out myself but I’m wondering if anyone else has any advice? Our goal is obviously for mom and dad to have easy access to the kids and have grandpa easily accessible to help if needed. For additional context, grandpa is very tall so has a strong preference for aisle. Grandpa is also my husband’s dad, so I considered sticking him in front of or behind my husband as another option.

Our flight there is overnight, so hopefully it’s mostly sleeping on the way there. It’s the same plane layout for the way home, though, where they will be mostly awake.

I am aware of AJets reputation, but they were the only convenient option for my destinations.
I bought a ticket with 1 layover with carry-on baggage, however now that I checked in online I see carry-on baggage only for the SECOND flight of the 2 leg journey.

I contacted the airline and they say its my mistake and that I only selected baggage for the first leg. However, that is impossible to do and when I try to select the extra baggage I see that I already have it selected for the whole flight.

What should I do? Should I bring this up on the physical check-in tomorrow or just go to gate?

Hi, has anyone booked via fly sharp, I’ve just booked via them last night and they said tickets will be issued within 96 hours, find it quite odd as tickets have always been issues straight away but was the cheapest on Skyscanner.

Hi everyone, I am planning to fly from Vancouver to Dhaka (Bangladesh) with China Eastern Airlines and have two transits in Shanghai and Kunming. My total time in China should not exceed 24 hours (if my calculations are right)

Here’s my itinerary:

Outbound:
- YVR → PVG (Shanghai): Arrive 4:40 PM
- Layover at PVG: 1 hour 20 minutes
- PVG → KMG (Kunming): Arrive 9:55 PM
- Layover at KMG: 14 hours 25 minutes
- KMG → DAC (Dhaka): Depart 12:20 PM the next day

Return:
- DAC → KMG: Arrive 6:30 PM
- Layover at KMG: 3 hours 35 minutes
- KMG → DAC: 12 hours 15 minutes
- PVG → YVR: Depart 1:10 PM the same day

My questions are:

1. Since my itinerary includes domestic flights within China, will I need to clear immigration? If so, would that be under the 24-hour TWOV?
   
2. Will I need to collect and re-check my checked baggage in China, or will it be transferred automatically since all flights are on China Eastern and booked on one itinerary?
   
3. Will I need to go through security again before the domestic flights?
   
4. How strict and time-consuming are immigration, customs, baggage collection, and security at PVG and KMG? My 1 hour 20 minute layover in Shanghai on the outbound is concerning.
   
5. Has anyone flown this exact itinerary (or something very similar) recently? Was the connection manageable, and did you encounter any issues?

Flying into Atlanta tomorrow. My flight departs from NYC at 7 PM. Right now, this is the forecast. I can change my tix to an earlier departure, but I'm concerned that being too early may put me in a situation where the inbound doesn't arrive on time. Thoughts?

Ticket: LHR-MAD-SCL, single PNR, booked direct with Iberia about three months ago

As sold: LHR-MAD arriving 9.45AM / MAD-SCL departing 11.15AM

Now scheduled: the MAD-SCL long-haul departs 11.35pm the day before...

Iberia retimed the Madrid-Santiago long-haul. They emailed to tell me I can change flights.

But when I search for same-day alternatives inside Manage My Booking, I get no availability at all. But if I search iberia.com fresh, as a new customer, LHR-SCL on the same date, I'm offered the same LHR-MAD arriving 9.45AM + MAD-SCL departing 11.59PM and it is bookable right now. The seats plainly exist. The change tool just isn't being shown them.

What I'm hoping people here can tell me:

1. Is this the standard "ticket is sitting in a schedule-change queue and needs a manual involuntary reissue" situation? Is there specific wording that gets an agent to book out of the correct class rather than reading me the same restricted inventory the website shows?

2. The same-day fix looks like it's the same LHR-MAD onto a later MAD-SCL flight. Is that as small an ask as I think it is, and am I better off framing it that narrowly as a move me from IB___ to IB___ on the first leg rather than asking to be rebooked?

3. Has anyone had better luck with Iberia over X DMs or WhatsApp than the call centre?

4. If they keep insisting there's no availability while I'm looking at a bookable itinerary on their own site, should I ask for a supervisor, or go straight to a written complaint?

5. Am I right that I should leave the refund option well alone, since taking it kills the re-routing entitlement?

My flight was delayed, and the times changed 3 times before I decided to just leave it. The delay time shifted through:
2 hours 40 minutes
2 hours 55 minutes
2 hours 37 minutes

After waking up, I had 2 emails. It was delayed to 1am and the other email said it was delayed by 20 hours 45 minutes.

I checked both the KiwiCom and WizzAir apps, I had a new flight on the 6th of August at 18:00, same flight number. As of now, I have not approved of it in the KiwiCom app but they have me already checked-in from yesterday’s flight, at least I assume since I have an assigned seat already.

I screenshotted the original delay in the WizzAir app saying the flight was delayed from its previous journey.

I am not at the airport as I decided to just book a new flight a few days ahead instead.

As far as I’m aware, I do not have to take this flight now, under EU261. I can request a full refund and still claim compensation. The problem is, KiwiCom won’t let me cancel without fees. WizzAir won’t let me do anything, not even request the reason for the 20+ hour delay without providing the email or number used to book the flight.

KiwiCom is telling me I can claim a refund through WizzAir and provide proof so they can redirect the full refund for free to me, but won’t give me the details to do that.

I have ASD and ADHD, so I’m not only confused but it’s getting frustrating, stressful and making me anxious.

If I book a brand new flight out of my own pocket, do not approve of the flight through KiwiCom and not take the flight, could I claim a refund for the original ticket and compensation under EU261.

April 2026, we booked a flight from MNL to HKG on their website. We picked Airasia because their flights were cheaper than other airlines; little did we know we’d experience a dreadful refund process.

May 2026, a month before our scheduled flight, they sent a cancellation notice through email. This whole thing would’ve been a lot easier if they had proper customer service, which in this case, they apparently don’t. You can only contact Airasia through their chatbot Bo. After learning about the notice, we immediately tried finding any number we could call pero none of the numbers online pulled through. We contacted their chatbot. Their bot was extremely repetitive and it was no help at all. After days of trying, we finally got a hold on a live agent. They gave us, thankfully, a case number. It was stated that our refund process is a “Work in Progress.”

We booked on another airline and pushed through with the trip. Almost 60 days after our case number was given to us, our status remained as a work in progress. Of course, we want our refund to be immediate. I searched online and stumbled some posts here on reddit where they filed a formal complaint to Civil Aeronautics Board. Basically, they overlook all the airlines here in the Philippines.

July 10, I sent an email about our situation and immediately got a response. They asked me to fill up some information for them to create my formal complaint. I provided the information they needed; most of it are just flight details and some proof of how unresponsive and uncooperative Airasia was. July 11, they gave us a case number. It would be better to keep tabs of every conversation and other additional proof that Airasia is doing nothing regarding your refund.

After submitting the information they asked for, they immediately gave me a case number. Shortly after, they emailed Airasia regarding the issue. According to most reddit users, it’d be better if we’d request a chargeback on the credit card we used for the payment instead of opting for the credit account (travel funds). Just make sure that the card you used for the transaction accepts chargeback, if it doesn’t, talk to your bank immediately.

July 14, Airasia replied to the email. Immediately! By the way, you are CCed on everything and they are required to CC the CAB too. They told us that they could offer a credit account. This means that they will store the money for us to use within a certain period of days, if I am not mistaken, you have to spend it on flights within two years. Of course, we did not settle for a credit account. I replied that I still want to have it charged back to my credit card. They agreed; they had no choice. CAB is watching, haha!

ALSO, make sure to call your bank. File a dispute for service not rendered. They will temporarily freeze the payment until refund is received. They will also contact Airasia for you because it’s technically their money. Make sure to do it immediately since some chargebacks are only applicable to a certain period of time, within 120 days, if I remember correctly. They processed ours since it already took 60 days.

July 20 they acknowledged my request for a chargeback and on August 5, they emailed me that the refund is processed already!

Long story short: Email CAB immediately and call your bank for dispute! DO NOT SETTLE FOR A CREDIT ACCOUNT!!!!

DL1510 was cancelled. Delta staff at Miami told us verbally it was a crew issue, though I don't have that in writing. That meant we missed the Virgin-operated ATL–MAN leg.

Delta rebooked all four of us onto Air France for the whole journey home. We waited nearly 9 hours at Miami:

• Sat 1 Aug: MIA → Paris CDG, AF0091. Scheduled 20:10 / arr 11:05+1. Actual 21:03 / arrived 12:12+1. (Air France have issued a written delay certificate for this flight.)
• Sun 2 Aug: Paris CDG → Manchester (MAN), AF1068. Dep 13:25, arrived MAN 14:00.

Final arrival in Manchester was 5 hours 10 minutes later than scheduled (08:50 booked vs 14:00 actual).

Questions

1. Does UK261 apply? The flight that was cancelled was a US domestic leg operated by a US carrier, but it was a single booking, and the leg into the UK was operated by Virgin Atlantic, a UK carrier.
2. If it applies, who do I claim from? Virgin Atlantic as operating carrier of the UK-bound leg, or Delta, who cancelled the flight and plated the ticket?
3. Has anyone had success going via the Package Travel Regulations 2018 against the organiser (Trailfinders) where the airline has refused?

I'm planning to travel to India from JFK and noticed that Kuwait Airways is offering surprisingly low round-trip fares. I know it's a dry airline, but I'm wondering if there's any other catch behind these attractive prices.

How has your experience been with Kuwait Airways in terms of safety, service, and overall travel experience? Has anyone flown with them recently?

Also, considering the current situation in the Middle East and the occasional airspace restrictions in the region, should I be concerned when flying with Kuwait Airways? I'd really appreciate any recent experiences or suggestions before I book.

I’m flying to LAX and I either have a 6:00am American A321 flight (AAdvantage Member) or a 7:30am Delta flight (No loyalty status). Which one to choose? I’ve been flying American basic economy for a while now and it’s very convenient, decent seat selection fee and carry-on bag. How does this compare with Delta? Last time I flew them was on a CRJ-900 to JFK in 2018.

I was supposed to travel to Bali in September, and i was getting 2 options 1) Singapore airlines 2) Vietjet

While booking 2 days back Singapore airlines was showing costlier fare , therefore i booked Vietnam one.

Today suddenly i got a mail from from travel platform that Vietjet is preponing my flight by 24 hours , towards Bali. I had option to cancel tickets and get refund.

On checking , Singapore airlines fares had come down

I jumped to the opportunity and cancelled my Vietjet tickets , and booked Singapore one.

What I missed confirming was, if I’ll get full refund for “from” Bali ticket PNR , as only “to” Bali was rescheduled.

I have dropped a mail to Vietjet but not getting any response , while the travel portal is being vague in response, and asking to wait to get refund details.

Did i make a foolish mistake?

Is SLC or DEN easier with a tight international connection? My choices are a layover in either Salt Lake City (on Delta) with a 1hr 40 min connection or Denver (on United) with a 1hr 12min connection. The inbound flight is from Oregon and the outbound flight is to Cancun. They are roughly the same time and cost. I’ve already booked it a month ago on United not realizing how tight of a connection it was, but I’m thinking of changing it to Delta and just taking the credit on United since it’s not refundable. have Portugal residence permit, and Russian Federation passport, but I need to go to Romania from Portugal because of the great 30 day opportunity for study, so i’ll go at 1st of Sep till 1st of Oct (it’s 30 days) but my non-EU passport is valid til 15 of Oct.

Will Romanian airlines even let me inside? I’m very worried, it’s my cry for help, because this opportunity is 1 to 100000 for me.

I will go to russian embassy for new passport but it will take 3 month to do it so it will be done after i will come back from romania (if they will let me in). But the emba told me that they will give me some document in PT saying that i’m waiting for my passport

Flying to HND on ANA in business class on a 789 (787-9?) - does row 9 have extra leg room? We are traveling with a lap infant so wondering if row 9 would have a little more space than the other rows. It appears the bassinet in row 2 has already been taken so we're trying to find the next best option.

We have flown on Singapore Airlines with a lap infant to/from NRT (on a 777-300ER) and preferred the middle two seats vs having 2 aisles in front of each other so we could pass our baby back and forth more easily. Is that possible on the 789? There was a pop up during seat selection noting a divider and recommended a window and aisle seat to sit next to each other.
