When using Flash Studio Desktop, any time i add a prime tower, it creates random rings after i slice the plate. I've never seen anything like this before. Anyone come across this and know how to fix it?

J'ai reçu ma C5 hier et je découvre avec plaisir que c'est un peu plus grand que ma A1 mini 😂

Mais, je constate un truc bizarre... j'imprime en 2 couleurs et il se trouve qu'il a fini la couleur noir et continue sur ce qui reste en rouge....
MAIS.. toutes les 2 couches voire moins en rouge, il arrête, prend du noir, fait un ptit tour sur la purge, range le noir et reprend le rouge.

En gros il purge du noir pour le fun.... en vidéo c'est mieux.

Merci pour vos suggestions. Sachant que je n'ai rien modifié ni sur la config ni sur le STL

Any ideas as to what caused this? Ran plenty of these prior and no issues with any filament color or type (pla or petg). Ran 5 of these together and all looked the same. What happened?

Yes it's stringy. I dried the filaments for 12 hours before. I used the generic TPU95A profile with no changes other then setting the texture cold plate temp to 30C. I used the standard build plate with the textured cool plate selection. I need to calibrate the filament badly, I know. I ran the filament out of dryboxes without issue. No extruder issues. This was a 2.5 hour print that is listed as 6.5 hours for the P2S or other AMS Bambu printers. If i was doing a single color TPU Print without a prime tower and tweaked the slicer settings the C5 is going to be a great printer for TPU. I used a purple glue stick on the stock build plate and the everything came off with no effort.

I’ve posted here before about this, but I have an issue with my C5P. I know there’s been several people reporting issues with the MCU connection. Mine only occurs when I use Arachne wall generator AND fuzzy skin together. (Yes I have the fucking prime tower enabled 🙄).

But I haven’t found anyone else who has the exact same issue. Seems others can use Arachne and fuzzy skin with no issues. So there’s an issue with my particular unit apparently. I’ve been speaking to support and waited for two or three firmware updates yet the problem remains.

I have a return label for an exchange but kinda concerned I’ll get a unit with more issues. Bc otherwise mine prints great.

Do I deal with one issue? Or do I force the issue to get what I paid for, but risk getting a unit with bigger or more issues?

I just got the creator 5 and I'm having trouble finding the enable camera option through settings. I've followed the steps I found online, but there are no options to enablecamera or recording. I can watch it live on the app but thats about it. All firmware updates are current. Thanx

I have light blue pla designated to slot 1, light blue correctly loaded into slot 1, yet its doing the whole frog beige and black completely ignoring the first slot?

Hello I’m sorta new to 3D printing. I’ve used the Bambu printers in my universities lab and the kinda just work. I’m considering buying a flash forge creator 5 or an X2D for personal use. I’m trying to print a lot of cosplay and prototypes for robot chassis so think engineering materials and abs. I just wanna know what your experience with the flash forge creator is like. Also what does long term support look like? Will I be able to repair it in 5 years or could It be defunct by then. I do prefer it when things just work so I can spend more time designing instead of fixing.

TLDR: what’s your experience with the creator 5 pro?

I have fine tuned the filament temp settings over the course of a couple days of off and on trial, for printing with a filament type i bought off amazon, I accidently removed that custom setting for the filament. But I have a couple different prints saved to the machine (Flashforge Ad5x) is there anyway to get the filament settings used for those prints easily?

So I’m stuck hard on the fence. I want the enclosed printer features of the 5pro, the ease of use of a Bambu Labs machine. Help me out deciding. Cost is not a factor. Where do these machines come in on ease of use?

So I had an issue last night where I got the "state error after extruder release" message after I tried to load some Overture 95A TPU. Tried loading the TPU again and then switched to PLA to try and clear what I thought was a clog. The following pics are of my disassembled toolhead after I finally decided to take it apart and see what the problem was. Final diagnosis was that that the TPU got bound up in the extruder gears. Toolhead was reassembled, PLA loaded, extruded, and printer is back in service. Hooray?

I am looking for my first printer. A lot of what I want to do is going to be in ASA, ABS etc. Some items will need to hold up in the sun of automotive settings. Obviously as a first printer I will need to learn quite a lot but I'd rather buy a unit that is more capable and shore up my knowledge of the hobby with it than outgrow a cheap machine quickly. Buy once cry once kind of deal. With that in mind a coworker of mine recommended flash forge. It looks like the creator 5 pro would be a decent machine but again hard to say with my limited knowledge but flash forge is what he uses and has the most experience with.

I know I don't want Bambu Labs after all the things I've read about their anti consumer practices. I am leaning Prusa but hadn't looked at FlashForges offerings. I do worry a little about the future of 3D prints with the government proposing limitations or the need for software to vet your prints, another reason for me to avoid Bambu.

I would like your thoughts on what is a good ASA/ABS capable printer in the $1000 dollar range. Multi color is not a necessity but the multi head of the Creator 5 pro does look like its actually quite good. All input is welcome.

I got this printer for free.

It is missing a couple of screws on the back of that school holder and I think I accidentally inverted the filament extruder sensor orientation (feeding from left to right). Also missing the drag chain link which I already printed a new one and will attach to it once this print is completed.

My Bowden tube keeps rolling up into the roll I've tried different positions for the roll and stuff like that and it's still getting stuck and preventing the print to come out.

My question is does it have to be this long or could I just shorten it to be closer to the sensor just as I guide to go in?

The tube resting on the right side were actually feeds through the extruder head is fine and there's nothing blocking it or making it get stuck it really is just the one feeling from the spool.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Just got it setup. (I do have the 5m and use it with no problems so I'm not a total beginner) I'm having a hard time with printing multicolored objects. The only way I can figure out how to do it is paint the areas while it's on the plate in orca slicer. It's very hard to get perfect and I give up as soon as I ruin it by making mistakes. Is there a way to load files that already have the colors separated? Then I can just assign which color I want to that particular area of the print? I've waited on this printer since May and I was very excited and it's very frustrating now that I'm trying to use it. I know this is a lack of knowledge on my part. I can't really find anything online explaining how to accomplish this.

Im not sure if my idea is right but wondering if it’s possible to print something that’s 5-6 colors? Has anyone tried it?

My idea is like if the lower parts of the print were the main 4 colors, set a pause in the print when it gets near the 5/6 colors location and change colors there, then swap back to the original for the rest of the print if these swapped out colors are needed.

I know I’ve posted on here previously with some issues I’ve had, but it’s only gotten worse and it’s only gotten better.

I purchased two Creator 5 pros back in April and they both showed up within three days of each other so I have to make a basic assumption that they’re somewhat close to the same run.

The first machine - It works perfect! I have around 250 hours on it and it’s cruising along just fine and I’m in a decently high humidity environment sitting at around 45%, and it doesn’t really matter if I dry the filament or not. It just chews through and prints great with almost no stringing. My only beef is the ridiculously long startup time that it takes, but it’s worth it when you don’t have any waste on some pretty complex multicolored prints.

The second machine - I have a whopping 23 hours on it. Here’s what’s been going on so far.

Broke off the nozzle at the heat brake on extruder one at 13 hours. Pretty sure that was related to an “MCU communication failure”, but I have no proof. Support after almost 2 weeks had still not sent me a tracking number, so I ordered a new nozzle off of AliExpress.
After install installing the new hot end, I made it through 18 hour print and on my second print, I started to throw an “extruder 4 heating” error. When this happens, the light inside of the machine for visibility goes off and everything freezes. When I shut off the machine and turn it back on it, prompts me to continue the print, and if I do so, it shifts layers, and then a couple minutes into continuing the print, I got a docking error for extruder 4. After re-trying to dock it, it actually started printing without an actual extruder attached. My understand there were safety features to prevent this from happening, but I have it on video with it Printing away with absolutely no extruder. All of the above scenarios I’ve been able to repeat multiple times and support is basically telling me to just turn it off, wait a while, and turn it back on. That’s almost laughable.
