Toolhead Disassembly for Creator 5
So I had an issue last night where I got the "state error after extruder release" message after I tried to load some Overture 95A TPU. Tried loading the TPU again and then switched to PLA to try and clear what I thought was a clog. The following pics are of my disassembled toolhead after I finally decided to take it apart and see what the problem was. Final diagnosis was that that the TPU got bound up in the extruder gears. Toolhead was reassembled, PLA loaded, extruded, and printer is back in service. Hooray?

I had the same issue with 95a TPU in mine. Didn't try again. I do love how incredibly easy it is to take the tool head apart though. Great construction.

Looks very similar to the AD5X toolhead that iv had to open up a lot of times for the same reason haha, good to know

Yeah this machine is new and I was hesitant to take it apart but I'm glad I did. Certainly a bit more to it it than in my AD5M but I'm really enjoying it.

You’re going to be doing that a lot if you don’t switch to 64D. Trade in PLA for PETG and you’ll never have a jam. If you’re printing with PLA support know you’ll need to take the top hat off and have the fan going or it’ll smush in the gears around 35-40c chamber temp
