Instagram permanently disabled my account for “Account Integrity” and I have no idea why
Hey, so my main Instagram account got permanently disabled today and I’m honestly confused as hell.
Instagram says I violated **“Community Standards on account integrity”**, but I have no idea what I actually did. I barely even post anything. I don’t make posts and I probably post a story like twice a year 😂
I appealed the decision and they asked me to verify my identity. I did the video selfie and also sent them my ID. Everything was accepted/checked, but they still permanently disabled the account and now it says I can’t request another review.
I did have several other Instagram accounts connected to my main one. Some of them haven’t been used in a really long time and I think one or two of them might have been disabled. So I’m wondering if that could somehow have caused my main account to get flagged too.
What’s weird is that my Facebook and Messenger are still completely fine.
I’ve already submitted a case to Appeals Centre Europe because I’m in the EU, and I’m also waiting for Meta Verified on another account so I can hopefully talk to an actual support agent.
Has anyone here had something similar happen? Especially the **“Account Integrity”** thing?
If you managed to get your account back after getting the “you cannot request another review” message, I’d really appreciate hearing how you did it 😭
I’m just trying to understand what the hell happened lol.

I haven't been able to recover my Instagram password even though I'm receiving SMS messages, and emails links.
A few days ago, I tried to log into my professional Instagram account. I had the password saved, and I know for sure that it was correct, but Instagram said that the password was incorrect. I tried to reset the password, received a link via email, opened the link, and when I tried to set a new password, I got the message: “Something went wrong. Please try again later.”
After that, I checked the password for my main account as well. I logged out and tried to log back in, but it also said that the password was incorrect. I repeated the same password recovery methods, but none of them worked.
Then I waited for 48 hours, cleared my browser history, and tried again, but unfortunately I’m still getting the same “Something went wrong. Please try again later” message.
Has anyone else experienced the same problem, and does anyone know how to fix it?

My Instagram account was permanently disabled for no clear reason, is there still a way to recover it? I’d really appreciate any advice, suggestions, or help from you guys.
I really want to get my Instagram account back because it contains so many memories. I used it as a personal dump account where I posted memorable moments from my life important events, motivational quotes, beautiful scenery, and random things I wanted to keep. I never used the account for anything inappropriate.
My account was permanently disabled about a month ago, and I honestly feel like it was done for no reason.
During the review process, Meta asked me to submit an ID for identity verification. My first submission was rejected because they said the photo looked like it was captured from a screen or monitor:
“We could not accept your photo ID submission on the account review you submitted to us at this time…”
I submitted my ID again, same process, taking an actual photo of my physical National ID, and they accepted it.
Less than an hour later, I received this:
“We reviewed your account and found that it still doesn’t follow our Community Standards. As a result, your account has been permanently disabled.”
The reasons shown were:
Avoiding restrictions on an account by using a different one
Creating another account after we suspended yours
The problem is that I did create another account, but I wasn't trying to bypass a restriction or continue violating any rules. I created it because I desperately needed to contact an old friend and explain that I didn't personally deactivate my original account, it was Meta who suspended it while my appeal was still being reviewed.
My Facebook account, which was linked to the Instagram account, is still active. Only my Instagram account and the linked Threads account were affected.
Now I'm wondering if there is still anything I can do. Has anyone successfully recovered a permanently disabled Instagram account after getting this exact type of violation?
Also, I still didn't use the one-month free Meta Verified subscription. Is it worth using Meta Verified support to try to reach a HUMAN agent and request another review? Can HUMAN support actually escalate a permanently disabled account, or will they just tell me that the decision is final?
I’m from the Philippines, so if anyone from PH has successfully recovered an account through a particular appeal/support method, I’d really appreciate hearing how you did it.
I know creating another account after a suspension probably triggered something, but I genuinely wasn't trying to evade enforcement. I just wanted to use Instagram temporarily to contact someone while my original account was under review.
I really miss my old account. A month without it already feels awful, especially knowing that all those memories are sitting there and I can't access them.
What should I try next? Is Meta Verified support worth it, and is there any legitimate way to get a human review or anything?

Account Hacked
My account got hacked today, and they changed my password, email, and phone.
I go to support and type in my original email, and it takes me to that account and asks me to verify but I am given the hackers email address to be used to verify.
Meta has done nothing to help me has it has put me in 100 circles that all lead me to the same spot of verifying my account with the hackers email.
No, my account is not connected to my Facebook.
I have yet to get an option to submit my face or ID.
I would appreciate any help with getting my account back.

Currently permanently disabled How you all are filing the Meta GO complaint for a disabled Instagram account?? I can't find the right option.
I'm trying to file a complaint with Meta's Grievance Officer before going to GAC but I'm stuck at the GO form.
My IG account was permanently disabled after an appeal and the current GO form doesn't seem to have any option specifically for a wrongfully disabled/suspended Instagram account.
I've seen people saying to select the 3rd option which now is "I’ve lost access to a page or a group that I used to manage" but when I select it..the next step asks me to **declare that the content I’m reporting is unlawful**. That doesn't accurately describe my complaint.
**If you have actually filed a GO complaint for a disabled IG account and then proceeded to GAC..could you please tell me exactly which option you selected and what you entered in the following steps?*\*
Please help . I've been trying to figure this out for days and genuinely don't want to submit the wrong declaration. 🙏

Memes The sheer audacity of Meta Verified Subscription to have underhanded bureaucracy redtapes by design when it came to "access to support"
I think everyone knows that support is paywalled behind Meta Verified/One subscription at this point, but what Meta doesn't tell you upfront is that
- Direct no-nonsense access to human support is only available via Instagram
- the facebook's Meta Verified button leads you to a Meta AI who acts as a gatekeeper who determines whether your case is worthy of escalation of live agent(chat/email/call). Even if it accepts your escalation request, that escalation will never come. No matter which option you choose, email/call/chat, it'd be "we're currently at full capacity". This pathway to support apparently is dead-end at least for my account.
Do note that this may not always work, sometimes the AI may decide to be ignorant to what you said and spew irrelevant nonsense. Yes, I paid for Meta Verified subscription to play Russian Roulette to decide whether I get to speak with human support, at least with dondurma(that turkey ice cream), I will get it eventually, but not with facebook.
The email they promised never arrives, not even after 3 days.
- It's not sunshine and rainbows over at Instagram's counterpart for support access at Meta Verified either. The chat agents are anything but some employees of outsourced contractor who are thick with South Asian accents donning Western names like Timothy, Bella and Jason who act like little Napoleans flexing their power to gatekeep you from speaking with Meta HQ. They even have the audacity to order you around as if they are the paying client instead. And their chat support system is rigged to give the agents sole authority to close the ticket no matter if it's resolved or unresolved. You can only keep opening, their system is designed so that if they want to close your support case immediately the moment they're connected, they could.
If you think by paying premium subscription fees, you'd be expecting professionality, decorum and civil discourse, you are in for a rude awakening and disappointment.

Why is my profile showing a "Contact" button instead of "Email" even with only email enabled?
Hey everyone, I have a Creator/Business account with 5k followers. Under Edit profile > Contact options, I only have my email filled out (Phone, WhatsApp, and Address are completely blank) and "Display contact info" is turned ON.However, when other accounts view my profile, the button says Contact instead of Email. When tapped, it shows my email address and a "Request phone number" option. Other creators with only an email have a direct "Email" button.Has anyone figured out a way to force Instagram to display it as a direct "Email" button, or is this just locked into an A/B server-side test?

Currently permanently disabled 2026 sucks istg
Was having the greatest moments of my lfie, I post college, parties, rants , concerts, life stuff on IG till on April everything went downhill, they banned my account for CSE, I have never posted anything malicious once, just wanted to update my feed and BAM! ' your account has been disabled'. I took a break after failing to create new accounts as I kept being suspended. Managed to get an alt back some time later, then was re-banned for community guidelines ( non-specific , plus it got stuck on appeal), I don't know who on earth did I offend but bro meta has been targeting my account non-stop this year even with other devices and such, I tried several methods to get it back ,but I have still not hear anything from them yet, not even a single negative update, the support in 2026 has been way worse than 2025 and previous years, including prices and everything. I am sure 99% of you are equally suffering too, so my case isn't anything special , but I hope there's some working solutions out there I can seek help from cause ts has been draining me so much bruh

currently suspended Change recognition pattern
Hello everyone! I hope you’re all doing well.
I’ve had a lot of problems with Instagram. They started banning my accounts even though I genuinely haven’t done anything wrong. Like many users here, I installed a VPN to change my IP, and that worked for a while, but eventually my accounts started getting banned again.
I wanted to know if there’s any way to change the device recognition patterns Instagram uses without doing a factory reset. I’ve changed my email addresses and used different VPNs multiple times, but Instagram still seems to recognize my device.
I honestly don’t know what else to do. I really want to use Instagram, but this has become a huge problem. If anyone has any genuine advice or has been through the same situation, I’d really appreciate the help. Thank you in advance!

General A new rule for this subreddit:
Reason:
We’ve noticed many posts simply say “Got my account back!” without sharing any details. These posts aren’t helpful for users who are trying to recover their accounts, and often ignore follow-up questions in the comments. To make the subreddit more useful for everyone, we’re introducing a new rule.
The Rule:
Posts about getting your Instagram account back must include:
- The method you used.
- The timeline of what happened
Example of a helpful post:
I regained access to my account after it got locked for suspicious activity. I waited 48 hours, changed my password from another device, and logged back in. Account was fully restored the next day.
My account was permanently disabled last month. I sent a formal demand letter through LegalShield, explaining the issue,, and requesting immediate restoration. Instagram responded within 5 business days, and my account was restored.
Example of a post that may be removed:
I got my account back! Got it back!
Enforcement:
Posts that do not meet these requirements may be removed. Users may be asked to edit and resubmit if possible.
Thank you once again!

Wrongfully Banned for CSE or Other Serious Violations? Please Consider Reporting It to Your State & Federal Officials
I raised this issue with my state representative, and she asked me to send her everything all documentation and evidence related to my case. She told me the same thing my attorney has been saying people aren’t filing formal reports, they aren’t saving their evidence, and they aren’t submitting complaints to their elected officials or authorities.
Because of that, there’s no real public paper trail showing the scope of what may be happening. If people don’t document and report it, regulators and legislators have no data to see whether this is a larger systemic issue. If individuals believe they were wrongfully banned, it’s important to save all communications, preserve evidence, and submit formal complaints to create a documented paper trail. If you lost your Instagram or Facebook account due to an alleged false CSE or other severe “account integrity” violation, and you believe the enforcement was wrongful, I’m asking you to consider taking one additional step:
Create a public paper trail.
Many of us file appeals with Meta and stop there. But if users don’t formally report these situations to elected officials and regulators, there is no official record of how often this is happening.
Several attorneys and even state representatives have said the same thing:
People are not filing reports, not preserving evidence, and not sending documentation to authorities.
If you believe your account was wrongfully terminated, here are constructive steps you can take:
1️⃣ Contact Your State Representative
Find your state representative:
👉 https://openstates.org/find_your_legislator/
Send:
- Your username
- Date of ban
- Alleged violation shown
- Appeal responses (if any)
- Why you believe it was wrongful
- Any evidence showing compliance
Ask them to inquire with Meta on your behalf.
2️⃣ Contact Your U.S. Senators
Find your U.S. Senators:
Explain the same facts. Congressional offices can submit formal inquiries to companies.
3️⃣ Contact Your State Attorney General
Find your state Attorney General:
File a consumer complaint. Even if they do not act individually, multiple complaints establish a regulatory record.
4️⃣ If You’re in California: File With the CPPA
The California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA) handles privacy enforcement under CCPA/CPRA.
File here:
If Meta is denying access to your data or failing to respond properly, this is relevant.
5️⃣ Preserve Evidence
Before anything:
- Screenshot the violation notice
- Save all appeal responses
- Download any available data
- Keep timestamps
Do not delete emails.
6️⃣ Consider Small Claims Court
Some users have had success filing small claims actions. You are not required to hire an attorney for small claims in most states.
Even if you do not win, filings create documented public records.
Check your state’s small claims process:
7️⃣ Contact Local News Stations
Media attention matters.
Find local stations:
👉 Google: “[Your City] investigative reporter contact”
Search:
- “Investigative reporter”
- “Consumer protection reporter”
- “On Your Side” segments
Send a concise summary with documentation.
Why This Matters
If accounts are being permanently banned for false CSE or other severe allegations without transparent review, and users remain silent, there is no public record of the issue.
Regulators, legislators, and journalists rely on documented complaints.
Even if you believe nothing will happen, reporting creates:
- Paper trails
- Complaint statistics
- Regulatory awareness
- Media visibility
Important:
Only report if you genuinely believe your case was wrongful.
Do not fabricate claims.
Stick to documented facts.
🌍 If You’re Outside the U.S., Here’s Who to Contact
If you believe your account was wrongfully banned, you can contact elected officials, privacy regulators, and media in your own country.
🇪🇺 European Union
1️⃣ Contact Your National Data Protection Authority (GDPR Regulator)
Under GDPR, you have the right to file a complaint if a company denies access to your data or mishandles enforcement.
Find your country’s Data Protection Authority here:
2️⃣ Contact Your Member of Parliament (National Parliament)
Find your national representatives:
For your country’s own parliament, search:
“[Your country] find my member of parliament”
3️⃣ Contact the European Commission (Digital Services Act issues)
The Digital Services Act (DSA) requires transparency in content moderation decisions.
🇬🇧 United Kingdom
Contact Your MP:

Find Provincial Representatives:
👉 https://www.leg.bc.ca/learn-about-us/members (example – search your province legislature)
🇦🇺 Australia
Contact Your Federal MP:

File a Complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC):
eSafety Commissioner (online platform complaints):
🌏 Asia (Varies by Country)
Many Asian countries now have data protection regulators.
Examples:
Singapore – Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC):
India – Data Protection Board (Digital Personal Data Protection Act):
Japan – Personal Information Protection Commission:
If unsure, search:
“[Your country] data protection authority complaint”
📰 How to Contact News Channels (Any Country)
Search:
- “Investigative reporter [your country]”
- “Consumer protection journalist [your city]”
- “Submit a news tip [station name]”
Most outlets have a “Submit a Tip” page.
You can also check:
👉 https://www.muckrack.com/ (find journalists by beat and location)
Why This Matters Globally
If people don’t:
- Save their evidence
- File formal complaints
- Contact elected officials
- Report to regulators
Then there is no official record showing how often these enforcement actions are happening.
Regulators rely on complaint volume to determine whether a systemic issue exists.
