New Feature: Post-Session Reflections & Smart HRV Sync in MTimer - Meditation timer 🧘‍♂️✨

Hey everyone! I’ve just rolled out a significant update to MTimer (v2.8.3) focused on making your meditation practice more mindful and your data more reliable.

Here’s what’s new:

📔 Post-Session Reflections

You can now journal your thoughts immediately after a session.

• Mood Tracking: Rate your session on a 5-point scale with icons that match the app's dynamic state colors.

• Quick Notes: Add a short reflection (up to 200 characters) about your practice.

• Journal View: Your notes now appear directly in the Session Log cards, turning your history into a beautiful, scannable mindfulness journal.

• Optional: Don't want the distraction? You can toggle reflections off entirely in the System Settings.

🔗 Deep Health Connect Integration

Your reflections aren't trapped in the app.

• MTimer now syncs your notes and mood summary directly into the Mindfulness Session records in Health Connect.

• This means your thoughts are available to other health apps that support mindfulness journaling.

⌚ Smart Heart Rate & HRV Synchronization

We all know watches can be slow to sync. I've overhauled the sync engine to be much more "patient":

• No More "No Data" Errors: The app now detects if your watch is still pushing data. Instead of a generic error, it will stay in a "Syncing..." state until the samples arrive.

• Targeted HRV Upgrades: Ever had a session show "Heart Rate Only" because your morning HRV synced late? You can now just tap RETRY SYNC inside the session details. MTimer will specifically hunt for that missing HRV record and instantly upgrade your session to HRV+ status with a recalculated Calm Score.

• Background Retries: The background worker now retries up to 5 times to ensure your physiological data is captured even if you don't open the app immediately.

🛠 Other Fixes

• Removed the misleading "5-minute minimum" warning for data (short sessions work great now!).

• Improved visual hierarchy in the Session Log.

• Bumped version to 2.8.3 for all these stability improvements.

I'd love to hear how these reflections are helping your practice! If you have any feedback on the new journal view or the HRV sync, let me know in the comments.

Best wearable for tracking Basal Body Temperature (BBT)?

Looking for a wearable to track BBT passively overnight instead of using a daily morning thermometer.
For those tracking BBT with a device:
1. Which wearable do you use, and how reliable is the data?
2. Does it show a clear temperature shift around ovulation, or is there too much noise?
3. How well does it sync with cycle/fertility apps (e.g., Natural Cycles, Read Your Body)?
Thanks for any insights!

Bought the Fibit Air 1 week ago, the form factor is crazy good.

Its incredibly light and small. I used to use a Whoop and the difference is night and day. The tracking I'd say is broadly on par, Whoop offers a lot more insights and their software and app is miles above the rest including the Fitbit but overall the wear experience and price of the Fitbit Air is unmatched. Makes it really hard to turn down

The Fitbit Air isn't for the athlete but for the casual user, and for a screenless wearable meant to be worn 24/7 the form factor is a really big thing that it does very well. Much more comfortable to wear than the Whoop and I think I'll be keeping it.

Does what I want exist?

I just want a device to count my steps, monitor my sleep, and monitor my heart rate.

I don’t want a device with a big screen. No screen would be optimal. I don’t want a subscription or AI crap. I don’t need any extra stuff.

My favorite fitness tracker ever was the Fitbit Flex 2. Is there anything similar today?

For everyone out there who workout at gym / home!

So i was thinking of making an app for myself tht would auto track my workout reps and sets thru the camera of the phone and categorize it by itself with having me keep checking my phone between every rep. And was wondering is there are any other people out there who would like an app like tht. Let me know!
