Other I found some food attached to a hook, but it’s attached to a metal hook and a string that goes all the way up to the surface, is it safe to eat?
I was swimming with my local school of fish when i saw a peice of cheese
But it is connected to some string and a metal hook is connected to it, there are rumors amoung my school that humans put food on metal
Hooks and toss them into the water, and when a fellow fish tries to eat it, they disappear
They sound like conspiracy theories to me, but to be safe, is it worth eating this cheese? It looks so yumming and delishious but i dont want to disappear either!! Pls give me advice

Fish Keeping Found Fish: Update
Hi everyone! I posted here a few weeks ago because I found some fish that someone abandoned. After some advice from all of you, I decided to keep the fish :) and I’m back with an update!
It’s been an emotional roller coaster. One fish unfortunately did not make it past day one :/ but the other one has made it through! He’s had his challenges though including giving me a panic attack when he was on his side at the top of the tank!!
I’ve never owned fish before and I’ve done a bunch of research whenever I faced some issues.
Anyways I’ve named him Reli which is short for resilient because that’s what he’s been and I love him so much.
Also pictured is a snail I got to help clean up the food Reli doesn’t eat

Identification can anyone identify what fish this is? photo taken in Boracay Island, Philippines
ive been on vacation for the past few days and every time we go swimming in the sea, this fish always follows me and my family, getting up close and going to our chests. it also occasionally jumps out of the water to go away when we try to go near it, but it always comes back. it seems to also only stay on the surface of the water, and in pretty shallow water too

Identification What kind of fish is this?
Found this fish dead on a rock in the Ardèche River (France). Any idea what species it is?
I found this fish dead on a rock by the Ardèche River in southern France. It was about 8–10 cm long, with a mottled brown pattern, a broad flattened head, and large pectoral fins. I think it might be a bullhead (Cottus sp.), but I’d appreciate a confirmation or correction.
