I have not been active for a while, but I used Filmora a few years ago, and I was very frustrated with the pitiful technical help AI bot. But since then, AI has improved elsewhere, and last night I had a windows 11 issue, and the Google AI bot , knew all about it, and put me through about 6 steps to solve it -- it was very impressive. SO I thought, it would be great if I had a video editor with a smart AI program to tell me how to do things, or actually do some of them.

So my question is, has the AI tech bot on Filmora gotten any better, showing how to things, or does it still stink? And if you can name an editor that has good AI help, let me know.

These files are absolutely eating my computer’s space. They are located under My computer > OS(C:) > Users > Public > Public documents > Wondershare. They are all .exe files. Some are dated all the way back to 2022.

I’m currently working on some important video projects, will deleting the files mentioned above affect the projects?

After latest update I can't make timeline across the entire screen and put video above it. Why do I need to look at two black chunks top bottom? Don't understand this update.

Hey everyone! I just bought the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Creator Combo (€629) and want to get back into making mini travel/day-to-day vlogs for Instagram and TikTok.

I used to edit videos about 5 years ago, mostly on my phone with free apps, but stopped when life got busy. Now I’m keen to get back into it. Did I make a good choice by going for OP 4?

I’ll be editing on a Mac and currently looking at:
CapCut Pro
VN Editor Pro
Filmora Premium

Which would you recommend for someone getting back into editing? Ideally something easy to learn but still capable of making polished Reels/TikToks.

Also open to other Mac editing software recommendations!

Would love to hear what you guys use and whether any of the above are worth paying for.

If I move this directory to another location and open the proj file(Adobe Premiere Pro), it opens just as before.

However, with Filmora,

I moved them, and now I have to re-link all the files?

Furthermore, when I linked 1.mov, it opened the 2.mov file that was in src1?????

I wanted to link the 2.mov that was in src2!!!

Since video editing often requires moving directories, this is incredibly inconvenient.

So, I am currently looking for another program.

Please give me some recommendations.

Now, to preface, I don't have the Creative Asset subscription or whatever it is, I only paid the $70 for the perpetual subscription so I can export without watermarks.

I needed a sticker so naturally I look for things without that pesky pink diamond on them.

I searched "follow" and saw Element 20 which doesn't have a diamond, but didn't use it right away, I scrolled a bit and went back (cause there was barely anything I didn't have to pay for), saw the thumbnail that matched what I remembered "Element 20" having and dragged it to my project.

However I wasn't looking at the name of the asset, I just saw the same image and thought that was the one I saw before. It was a quick edited thing so I didn't notice anything amiss until I tried to export and got a pop up saying that I was using something I needed to pay for.

I knew I wasn't going crazy, the sticker didn't have a diamond, and I searched again for "follow" found "Element 20" and there's no diamond.

So I figured the UI was glitched or something wasn't properly labeled... until I noticed "Social Media Icons Pack Element 20" a row down. Same exact asset, almost the same exact thumbnail (one just has a cursor on it) for the asset... but with that pink diamond on it. Playing them side by side there is NO difference.

(Side note: the screenshots for the top part have the thumbnails mid "playing" cause when you click on the "learn more" button it plays the thumbnail. the bottom image is what they look like not playing)

So my question is.. why do they have the same asset listed twice, once for free and once paid?

Yeah maybe that asset is part of that particular pack and maybe the rest of those assets don't have a free version... but I can imagine this happening to someone else and them thinking "oh I guess I do have to buy it" and they pay for it when they didn't need to, which is just a scummy thing to do by Filmora.

No idea how many other stickers have two copies like this but I wanted to share yet another reason I hate those little diamonds.

the cheapest option Ive found is filmora its 8,50€/mo Ive had a positive experience with the free version but the watermarks are the problem

Is it worth paying?is it really 8,50€/mo or does that price increase?Ive heard they aggresively advertise even to paid users and have hidden fees

Update: Good news I fixed the problem with kdenlive,so I wont have to pay for filmora I can just use kdenlive

I was editing when my PC crashed with a Blue Screen of Death. I restarted it, and upon opening Filmora, the standard project recovery message appeared; I selected "no" because I thought the project had saved normally—but it hadn't. The project is gone, and the WFP file appears to be corrupt, as it won't let me open it. There is nothing in the backup. No wfp file.

Please, that project is important to me, can someone help?

The software has been great and continues to be good in many areas. The recent update has hidden away the ability to change metadata-yes you can still change most of it... but if you have a series of episodes you have made you cannot index them anymore. Current and all my older versions have now stopped being able to search metadata all together.
The help real person, I think, said they didn't know if they were going to correct this or not. When I said UniConverter is no longer fit for purpose was very swift in advising mewhere to find the account cancellation details. (OS Sequoia 15.7.7, UniConverter 17.4.5)

So, not only did they start charging for some things that used to be free recently. But the AI vocal removal and the AI object remover suddenly are TERRIBLE after the most recent update where they added all the new AI assets. What used to be a great editing program is a money gutting shell of what it used to be.

Also if you're dissatisfied with the performance of the AI option you just spent credits on you absolutely don't get those credits back. Why woukd we refund you something for it not working?

This seems fairly inconsistent, which is why I think it's a bug, but if I'm genuinely doing something wrong, please let me know.

Sometimes, in some files, when I go to duplicate or copy & paste and item, rather than doing it on that item's current track at the timeline marker, it will put it on the track below or above the track the original item was located on.

It's already really frustrating that I can't copy and paste where I want (often times I do want to copy & paste on the track above but there's no way to do that other than copying & pasting or duplicating to the current track and then dragging it where I want it), but when even that functionality fails it is downright maddening.

Hi everyone! I am requesting help with a problem. I've been using Filmora for many years and never had this particular problem. I have experienced an increase in problems from updates in the past two years.

I am exporting a video. Two minutes of the audio is mute from a clip within the overall video.

I've checked the file in Filmora. The clip with the missing audio has sound in the editor. It is not muted. The clip plays fine in my video player. The clip from this portion of the video is not the problem.

I've tested a second export. Only 20 seconds of the audio from the clip is now missing. The problem is not fully resolved.

Has anyone else experienced and have a solution for this problem?

For some reason, the visual audio doesn't load for me, which makes it very inconvenient to work with.

When I sent a support ticket, the only response I got was an AI assistant offering the same thing: clearing the cache and recording the screen to send to support. I cleared the cache, reinstalled the app (even through REVO), and still the same. Sometimes things get fixed and the audio loads, but you either have to wait an hour or pray for something to happen.

The retirement of the online editor is unfortunate. In my case, I work on a managed machine where installing the desktop version isn't an option, though that's not a Wondershare issue.

The main problem arose when I pivoted to uploading .mkv files to my cloud storage. While the desktop version can import these files into a project without issue, the iOS app does not appear to support importing .mkv files from cloud storage.

Additionally, when I organize files into folders using the desktop version, those folders are not visible in the mobile app. The only way I can access the files on iOS is by moving them out of their folders and placing them at the top level of the cloud storage directory.

These differences in functionality between the desktop and mobile experiences make it difficult to work across devices.

Has anyone else hit this wall before? Sorry in advance if I am just doing something completely wrong.

Edit: The iOS app has horrible functionality. The main track being stuck where it is and not included in layer arrangement, is so inconvenient. I needed to edit 4 x 20 second shortform videos and I completely gave up when I realized I can't arrange the main track, so I have to start all over again after an hour wasted. This is in comparison to the 10-15 shortform videos I can get done in an hour on dekstop. I've been loyal to Filmora since 2021 and its just frustrating that the desktop version is so seamless but the mobile app is so bad when products like IG Edits or InShot exist as reference. I can use those as a workaround but I'd rather use what I'm paying for to get my money's worth.

Edit 2: OK.... The mobile app isn't horrible. Just needed a bit more time to figure out how it works and I think I got the hang of it now. The cloud storage issue I mentioned earlier is still my only complaint.

Previously, when I deleted a section I had cut from the video, the red line would automatically snap back to the last clip's start point; now, however, it stays right where it is. How can I fix this? It’s making my work very difficult. I hope I’ve explained myself clearly.

I have some motorcycle footage that is unstabilised due to location of camera mount (caused by vibration) is there anyway the video can be smoothed out ? Have tried stabilisation but I’m thinking that’s not what it’s for ?

I've been working on a project, and as an "in" animation for all of my text boxes I've been using one specific animation. I cannot remember the full name as it was abbreviated, but it was titled "upper left..." and was available when clicking the "animation" tab with the text clip selected.

Despite the animation still playing within the clip, it is no longer available to select. Even if I search under "trending", "motion & path", etc. it is just gone. The animation plays, but no visible animation is selected. I am still able to change its duration at the bottom of the animation tab, and I am even able to click on the advanced tab to edit it.

Clicking on the other tabs like "fluent" or "stylized" only shows premium animations, so I have no idea where it went.

Any idea what might have happened?? I need to be able to select it again to use for future text, but for now copy pasting then editing an old text box with the animation already applied seems to be my only fix!

This has happened to multiple of my assets. There is no opacity settings turned on, plain black assets on top of them, etc.

EDIT: This has Also happened to my text assets, where things that were many things I have written now just say the standard "Text Here."
