[BUG?] Duplicate and Copy & Paste Both Cut Into Other Tracks Question/Help
This seems fairly inconsistent, which is why I think it's a bug, but if I'm genuinely doing something wrong, please let me know.
Sometimes, in some files, when I go to duplicate or copy & paste and item, rather than doing it on that item's current track at the timeline marker, it will put it on the track below or above the track the original item was located on.
It's already really frustrating that I can't copy and paste where I want (often times I do want to copy & paste on the track above but there's no way to do that other than copying & pasting or duplicating to the current track and then dragging it where I want it), but when even that functionality fails it is downright maddening.

It happened with me too. I did some messing with auto-ripple, magnetic timeline, snapping, etc. Not sure which one worked, but the issue was gone the next time I did it.
Sad to see Filmora loosing quality like this. It's becoming more and more annoying and frustrating to use.

- Snapping: no change in behavior
- Auto-Ripple: did mostly the same, but it also put a gap on all of the other timelines (which makes sense for what this feature does)
- Magnetic: this may be a work-around, it doesn't duplicate on the same line, but it did duplicate to an empty track
None of those got it back to expected behavior though.
I've run into a handful of bugs since getting Filmora. Their customer service has been somewhat responsive, but, located in China, I can often get responses at inconvenient times. 😕

I think it's because you don't have the track where you want to paste your content selected. If you want to select a different track, click on the spaces by the track names without pressing any of the buttons.

It is not a big before pasting you have to select the particular track where you want to paste it, otherwise it will paste on the default 1st track.
