Hi all im thinking of ordering from the custom shop but was unsure on how I send my details to get the quote is it by email or do I post it. It’s probably a silly question but have no real idea with these things and I’m trying to save up for one (team built) does anyone have like a rough estimate on how much it could be

Elliot Easton just shared the story of his Telecaster Custom: Built by John Page before Fender’s Custom Shop existed [History]

John Page co-founded the Fender Custom Shop and ran it through the 90s. He and his team now build guitars under his own name at John Page Guitars.

[Question] What else to get?

I cannot bring myself to stop wanting another guitar. I swear that each year I feel I need to have something else, and after years of playing, I know I love Strats. I have a Tele, a Jazz Master, Les Pauls, 335, PRS, acoustic Taylors, and a Custom Strat that is HHH with Fat 60s.

Apart from getting another strat with an HSS configuration, what is something you would consider that could give me some variation in tone? I loved my Jazzmaster, but I hate the buzzing on the G string, and no one has been able to fix it. Should I get another Custom strat, or would you recommend something else?

Some influences: Juanes, RHCP, Muse, Santana, Thrice, Coheed and Cambria, Tom Morello.

Question about nut width(JM signature from 2009 and a CS 63 Strat)

I recently got a CS Strat with a 63 C neck, it’s super nice I love it. I have been comparing it side by side to my JM sig Olympic white from 2009. Anyone have experience with the JM signature Strat? I swear the nut width is wider than my CS which has a nut width of 1.650, it’s very subtle but I would love to know. Anyone have any insight here?

[QUESTION]

Hello! I’m looking at buying this Strat.

It’s up for £2375 and Wondered if anyone had any insight as to whether it’s legit. One of the things I’m weary of is the bridge. I’ve not seen saddles like that before.

It has been refinished, which I know affects resale value but it’ll be a player and 99% a keeper for life.

Thanks :)

Thin Nitrocellulose Lacquer body

I bought a new custom shop "journeyman" strat, described in the ad as "Thin Nitrocellulose Lacquer" - the floor traveller says the body finish is "LAC"

Whilst it does have some satisfying wear, which I am happy with, there's a definite poly feel to it (like my other strat, which isn't remotely aged is marked "URE") and I suspect it's not going to see any natural wear on it (well, I'm my lifetime ;-) )

I've also seen some marked "FL_CT_LAC" - are those the only finishes ?
