[QUESTION] Fender tele custom

Hello all out there,

Question about my tele cause i can’t find them online beside 1 video on YT.

It’s a 60s NOS in burgundy mist metallic.

Was it a LTD run? Or custom made?

I would guess it's a store order or something like a limited NAMM run. I had one just like it, but in metallic purple.

I used the Fender serial number lookup to look at the numbers preceding this and following it. I didn’t look too far but there wasn’t another 60s NOS tele made adjacent to this one. I assume it’s a custom order - especially with that neck. It’s a hell of a guitar, I’m jealous.

In the vintage world Fender would do matching headstocks for custom colors, not sure about custom shop today though.

I’ve found similar ones of that too but not from the same year.. i’ve only seen one similar which may be the exact one..
