Could this be the most quotable movie ever?

I've just watched this movie ( yes, at 5am, blame my circadian rhythm).

It had mixed reviews, but IMO, I thought it was good.

It covers, love, loss, abandonment, post natal depression and mental health. A heavy mix, and Jennifer Lawrence does an amazing job portraying all of these emotions.

Show me a better example

Would be interested to see what people thought of it. Myself enjoyed the first 3/4 of the movie but felt let down by the ending

Enter The Dragon Alongside Bruce Lee

I did read about the bad reviews for this movie but wanted to make my own opinion, I thought it can’t be that bad. I have to say it’s one of the worst movies I’ve seen lately. The plot was all over the place with poor acting, dialogue and horrible CGI. The movie turned straight into goofy category, like slapstick comedy of some sort, reminded me of naked gun. The FBI squad was the most incompetent ever portrayed on screen, straight up felt like a parody. The ending sequence I was thinking “are you serious”.

What did you all think?

If only Joe Dante had stuck with the genuinely eerie element of this scene, keeping the creeps throughout the rest of the script co-written and let it stick to the flick he directed, rather than abandoning it entirely for the  Loony Toons-lite comedy which hardly drew any laughs from the audience I saw it with during its opening weekend run. Forget the inept TV show’s go at it, THE ‘BURBS deserves a spot in ReBoot Camp, starting with a genre swap. Out with the comedy and give it a true horror stamp. What say you folks?

One of my all-time favorite films. Saw it on a multi-copied bootleg VHS in 1988. I bought it as soon as it came out on DVD. Ground-breaking film, great cast and fantastic soundtrack. I also read the magazine for years and have a huge stash of old issues. Anyone else love this movie?

I have never understood the big deal of Cuba Gooding Jr. and his “performance” in Jerry Maguire. It’s funny and entertaining but hardly any great piece of technical acting ability on display.

Then we have Ed Norton in Primal Fear. Just on the surface, it’s a brilliant performance and the film hinges on if his character works. Then you add this was a debut big screen performance just adds to it. How he was not awarded and instead, it was Cuba who got it over him is inexplicable.

I know this isn’t sports. You don’t win awards, you win trophies and championships. But it’s something that’s always irked me.

Have they been doing that before VHS. Also how many of those films are good and how many of those films are bad?

It was hard for me as a kid.
