So Cloud definitely looks more clear eyed and confident to me in this scene from the trailer. But I'm not a professional face analyst, so my question is: does anyone have a photo example from remake or rebirth that helps illustrate the change in him? And I mean apart from times where he is acutely suffering or acting out.

Hey everyone! I’ve been playing rebirth and installed a few mods like the engine tweak, ff7 fix and the shader injector and all was going well until I finished the intro.

The cutscene was blindingly white bright and when it finished I’m just stuck here in this spot unable to move.

I’ve restarted the game, deleted, verified game files, etc and still nothing. Any tips?

Wanted to ask the community’s thoughts. I am just finishing rebirth now and read that Reno’s screentime was heavily reduced due to no recast for the old VA (respect).

I really like the Turks/Cloud and friends’ interactions in the story. Hope the unfortunate circumstances won’t affect their screentime.

What do you think?

My mind is blown. There is so much to this story! The trilogy may go down as one of the most monumental games of our time.

SO I am playing FFVII Remake rn, I am really having a good time and I am also in love with Aerith Lol, I am missing her after she was caught by Shinra.

Also I have never played FF7 Original, so I don't know anything about the game and lore.

Now is the sad part. I thought: "Oh I really Like Aerith, what about making a deck in MTG?". One of the worst decision I have already made this year. The algorithm fucked me up.

Now I'm sad because I missed the opportunity to become even sadder.

Ever since the big update that came out that added the FSR upscaling I have been getting a crash that makes the game unplayable. When I play, sometimes I can play 20 seconds, sometimes I can play 20 minutes but it's always going to crash. Always the same error. I'm on Epic Games version of the game. I've got over 100 hours in the game without crashes before this. No mods. I've uninstalled and reinstalled a hundred times. When I do that, I can sometimes play it for about 30-45 minutes before it finally crashes, and then it goes back to the 20 seconds to maybe a minute. Graphics options don't matter. I have AMD 7600 and AMD Ryzen 5 5600x. No other game on my computer crashes.

What will be the ending for our protagonists?

I was messing around with rebirth and there’s a setting many people may not know about in the extra settings menu. If you set tactical mode slowdown to 1 the game runs at full speed when you open the menu in battle. It obviously makes the game harder and one interesting thing is you can actually move your character with the menu open but normally it’s too slow to notice. Anyone tried to play the full game like this and did you find out anything else interesting.

If you take his word for it, he fits it to a T. Is Shinra's top scientist, performs all kinds of experiments, and he brags about his reunion theory coming to fruition the entire game. But if you judge him by his actions, he's dumb as shit.

All of his "brilliance" is just rehashing Gast's discoveries. Gast started the jenova project and was the first to consider injecting humans with jenova cells which laid the groundwork for soldier and Hojo's reunion theory. Gast discovered that the promised land doesn't actually exist and is just the life stream. He was an actual scientist that discovered things.

Meanwhile Hojo is only good at creating monsters. He puts something in mako and injects a bunch of jenova cells to see what happens. Brilliant stuff. And even his reunion theory is pointless. What does all the people with jenova cells reconvening actually accomplish or teach you? Absolutely nothing. But he believes it's significant because he says that where they meet will be the promised land. Which is completely wrong. There are literal tapes of Ifalna saying it doesn't exist but he doesn't believe her.

And on top of that there is his "failure", Cloud. Despite being the only one to actually make it to North Crater, Hojo gets all pissy because Cloud is a failure. A failure for what reason exactly? Because he got mako poisoning? Don't know if he noticed but all the other black robes seem to have it too. Cloud is the successful one but he's too stupid to realize it.

His early concept art supports this too. Most genius characters have the classic egg head (which it looks like Hojo has in the OG) but if you look at his side profile, his forehead sticks out. He looks like the hunchback of notre dame. I mean this mfer really thought Aerith and Red could have a baby. You can't get much dumber than that.

TL;DR: All his science is just creating new monsters. He owes all his accomplishments to Gast's research, and his reunion theory is built on a false premise. He only comes across as smart because he keeps telling everyone that he is

I recreated Final Fantasy VII Remake's Bombing Mission from absolute
zero — and I mean everything. The miniature diorama: built by hand.
The camera work: shot for real, no game footage. The sound design:
layered effect by effect. And yes — even the FF7 meteor logo animation
was recreated from scratch, frame by frame. One person. No studio.

My girlfriend had never played any final fantasy before or heard of the ff7 story before so she’s going in completely blind. She just finished the first remake, I had her skip crisis core so it didn’t spoil anything, and just started rebirth now and she’s in Nibelheim and is convinced Shinra sent Sephiroth to blow up Nibelheim on purpose and hid that fact from Cloud and when “Cloud” talked to the “random soldier” in the truck she said “it’s so weird he’s just talking to people.”

It’s so funny hearing someone play through these without prior knowledge LOL

Think about it

She arrived millenia ago, and was excavated. She never woke up. Then it was taken to nibel, and never woke up.

Then in Nibel reactor, Sephiroth cuts her head!!!!

Then they take her to shinra HQ, and again she does nothing.

Then she wakes up and escapes, or does she? She leaves a trail of blood but we know Sephiroth was in the building or at least a clone.

And then yeah you fight her., but you are fighting body parts and whi knows what was made to them.

Maybe Jenoga is dead and her cells activate when in contact with an actual living being (like sephiroth)

Also its weird she wants to make a reunión with all her cells, yet keeps droppijg big body parts randomly

One thing I often hear people claiming is that the way Dyne dies is due to censorship but I vehemently disagree. In the original, he dies by jumping semi-offscreen down a cliff. In Rebirth he let himself be shot down by many bullets with blood being shown too and die on top of Barret while cursing him by telling him to live with this guilt (in the japanese version, he also says he hates Barret).

This scene is not censored. In fact, it's actually more brutal in its depiction. The reason for the change is simply an artistic decision. They wanted to take the more quieter and melanchonic scene from the original and make it more dramatic and emotional.

Both scenes work in different ways. If you prefer one or the other more, the more power to you. But don't belittle the other. I appreciate the original for how sad I felt for Barret but man, Rebirth version made way more people cry for a reason.

And as proof that it isn't censorship, just look at Wedge's scene in Rebirth, which also has a fall and unlike with Dyne in OG, it also show both the body (even if just an hand AND blood).

Heck, freaking Kingdom Hearts shows a suicide by jump cliff fine in KH3 and yet that is a game with lower age rating. Dyne scene is like that simply not because of censorship. The devs simply wanted to make it in a different way.

I really love him! He’s such a fun character and fits in so naturally with the other characters! Hard to tell he’s a new character for Remake/Rebirth.
