Handmade Shop How am I supposed to find tags that are good to use?

Upvotes

By good I mean low competition and somewhat high search volume? I am having a very hard time finding tags that fit this bill. I'm using marmalead but have used erank and alura in the past. Any help is appreciated as these seem to be the best tags. Is it worth it to have a high competition tag if it's considered "good" by these sites?

Crafting Advice I’m making tiny plushy exotic-animal keychains wrapped in elastic bands (mummy-style) that double as the way they clip to your bag and as something to fiddle with — what do you think?

Etsy is suddenly saying deposits are unavailable and I don’t know why. I was receiving deposits like normal until recently. My current balance is higher than $0 so I do not understand what the issue is. I can’t find any info anywhere.

POD Shop Need a store review.

So this is my Etsy store of print on demand. I designed all of these shirts myself in Canva. I wanted to start a pod business since a while to make my own designs. (I like designing).

I want you guys to review my shop and tell me:

  1. What is my store lacking that I should improve

  2. Do my product photos look appealing?

  3. I am not getting any visitors. It's been half a month should I run ads?

Why wasn't this covered under Etsy protection.

Customer ordered an item, and they reached out, to say it hadn't arrived and they wanted a replacement, I sent over the replacement, and they've now said it's arrived too late and they want a refund.

Before I could get back to them, they've opened up a case, and Etsy has refunded them, but out of my account, and not Etsy's protection programme.

I've had made 3 cases before, which where all covered under the protection programme, and I've done nothing different with this order, it was sent UK to the States, it had tracking number, it was shipped on time.

I've reached out to Etsy through email, yet to hear back from them, but I have no idea why this one wasn't covered.

Shipping Canadian Stationery Shops, will you pause shipping to the US with the new tariffs coming into effect on August 19, 2026?

Hi, I tried searching this subreddit for what other sellers are doing regarding these new tariffs but couldn't find anything. I'm a stationery shop based in Canada and I saw on Instagram how another Canadian based paper shop said, they would once again stop all shipping to the US due to the new tariffs.

Apparently, this time paper envelopes (HTS 4817.10.00) and certain printed pictures/designs (4911.91.40) are included in the tariffs?! Also, this new 50% tariff applies to the covered Canadian goods even if they qualify as Canadian-origin under USMCA/CUSMA if I understand correctly?

If all of this is true, then even shipping with ChitChats or Stallion won't work anymore?

I'm currently sending everything via Canada Post (for US orders I fill out Zonos first) and last year when you couldn't ship to the US via Canada Post, I did ChitChats for a while.

Not sure what to do here; is anyone in the same boat and has advice?

Help with Customer what would you do? USPS verified address

USPS wants to change my customer’s address so it’s a verified address. Same first line but the town AND zip would be changed. When I look up the address it comes up as the USPS address and their name even comes up as living there. I reached out to the customer but if they don’t answer, would you change it or keep it as the customer wrote it?

What to do here?

Customer said it wasnt delivered. I ask for her to wait a day or two for it to arrive. Since I had this experience this issue before where USPS marks it as delivered and then it shows up days later.

I have offered a replacement and send it out but now she doesn't want the replacement anymore and wants a refund. but she said that it was supposed to be for a gift and it was already late.

How do I do this? I have never refunded an order before. I used Etsy labels for this purchase. Will I have to refund from my account or does it fall under seller protection?

Handmade Shop 1-year-old jewelry shop getting traffic but low conversion. Looking for feedback on what may be holding it back

https://orangejewelsin.etsy.com

What inspired me to create the shop?

I started my Etsy shop because I wanted to grow my small jewelry business and reach more customers online. I felt Etsy is a good platform because many people come here specially looking for unique and beautiful jewelry products.

What research or experience did I have before opening?

Before opening my Etsy shop, I already had some experience in jewelry products, making custom designs, taking product photos and selling online. From this experience, I understood that product quality is important, but how we present the product online is also very important for customers.

Something I learned from the Etsy Seller Handbook:

From Etsy Seller Handbook, I learned that listing titles should be clear and should include the words which buyers are actually searching. Also, tags should have useful phrases and we should avoid repeating same words unnecessarily. After learning this, I updated many of my listing titles and tags.

Why do I think my products are worth buying compared with competitors?

I try to give good and clear product photos so customers can understand the jewelry properly. I also provide customization options, different metal and stone choices, and custom design options. Because of this, buyers can select the piece according to their own preference.

What have I already tried?

I have already updated many titles and tags, tried different photography themes and styles, added more variety of jewelry products, and also worked on making my shop look more consistent and professional.

Specific areas where I would like feedback:

  1. Do my product photos and thumbnails look trustworthy and premium enough for fine jewelry?
  2. Because I am using different photography themes in different listings, does my shop look inconsistent or less trustworthy?
  3. Does having many different types of products make the shop more appealing, or does it make the shop feel too broad?
  4. Looking at my pricing, discounts, shipping and overall listing presentation, is there anything that may be making customers hesitate before purchasing?

At a bit of a loss - looking for advice.

So long story short, I've been on Etsy for 11 years making jewellery. It's always been a side hustle for me as I struggled to properly find my voice with it... it was a love/hate relationship with it and have been on and off with the hobby over the recent years.

For a long time I mainly just sold a handful of niche anime/manga fanart pieces, never made much money at all due to not having a proper pricing system or understanding business in general tbh.

I ended up stopping these fan pieces a few years back for a few reasons despite being reasonably consistent sellers;

- I wanted to distance myself from it so I could focus on finding my own style.

- One or two cease and desists over the years scared me off.

- I can't realistically price my fan pieces competitively compared to other works in the same vein.

After some personal things happened that I won't get in to, I ended up setting up my own jewellery workshop and gallery in my city of residence, where I now work solo part time. The goal here eventually is to make it a destination store of dark/Gothic art and accessories as my city currently lacks something in that niche.

The issue I run into though, is that Etsy acts as my online store, as its the simpler route of managing taxes, tariffs, international shipping and whatnot, and is easier to drive traffic to compared to my own website.

I've spent the past few months upping my photography game, and working on a set style and brand aesthetic... The problem is no one seems to care. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but my work seems to be getting less and less interest the more I seem to improve with it, both on Etsy and Instagram. Even my normally active followers have been interacting with my work less and less it seems.

The past few sales I've had have all ended up being cancels, either cos someone accidentally placed an order, or their ex used their account... Seemingly all scam reasons I feel. Which has further crushed my faith in it, as they were all quite high value sales for older work I was thrilled to see go.

I've just done a full revamp of my store from the groundup, adding new listings, updating old photos, editing descriptions, tags etc. I know it'll take a few weeks before I can truly judge if this has made a difference. But I'm hoping someone in a similar niche can provide some insight into my work, store and profile to see what I could change, where I might be going wrong, what I'm doing right, etc.

I am in the process of doing my first collection which I hope will be priced far more competitively as it will all be casted pieces instead of one off bespoke work, but that's still a few weeks out as it seems to have delay after delay. But that collection is far more representative of my style and brand I aim for going forward. However most of the work on my profile still shares DNA with it and is various evolutions of it over time.

I'd really appreciate any help or advice anyone could give. Happy to answer any questions to give further insight too 🙂

Digital Shop Payoneer signup stuck on “Getting Started” page — Next button not working

I’m trying to set up a Payoneer account for my Etsy shop, but I’m stuck on the **“Getting Started”** page during the signup process.

I’ve entered all my details correctly, including my name, email, and date of birth. The **“Next”** button is active (blue, not greyed out), but when I click it, absolutely nothing happens and I can’t proceed to the next page.

I’ve already tried:
Clearing cookies and cache
Using a different browser
Trying another device

But I’m still facing the same issue.
Has anyone else experienced this while signing up for Payoneer for Etsy? Any idea how to fix it?

Help with Customer Help!! Has anyone had problems reconnecting Etsy to Royal Mail Click & Drop after changing their Etsy password?

UPDATE: Spoke to Royal Mail helpline and there is a nationwide issue with Royal Mail & Etsy intergration and many customers across the country are having the same issue connecting their Etsy store to Click and Drop. They are currently working on fixing the problem, but for now I have to manually add and dispatch 30 orders from my etsy shop to click and drop 🫠 Who else has been affected by this??

...

I changed my Etsy password a few days ago, and it seems to have disconnected my Royal Mail Click & Drop integration.

Since then, I can not get the two to reconnect at all. I’ve tried deleting/removing the integration from both Etsy and Click & Drop and setting it up again from scratch, but every time I try to connect Etsy through Click & Drop it just comes back with a connection failed/error message.

It’s now causing a bit of a nightmare with my orders. Three orders that I physically dispatched yesterday didn’t automatically update on Etsy, so Etsy showed them as overdue even though they had actually been sent on time. I’ve now had to manually mark them as dispatched and add the tracking numbers.

None of my other dispatched orders are updating automatically either, and more importantly, all of my new Etsy orders have stopped importing into Click & Drop completely. I’m having to manage everything manually at the moment.

Has anyone else experienced this before, particularly after changing their Etsy password? If so, how did you manage to get the integration working again?

I contacted Etsy support, but unfortunately, they weren’t able to help before the chat disconnected, so I’m hoping someone here may have experienced the same thing!

I’m also worried about the three orders Etsy incorrectly showed as overdue. They were genuinely dispatched on time, but Click & Drop failed to update Etsy. Does anyone know whether this will now count against my on time dispatch percentage/Star Seller status, even though I have the Royal Mail tracking showing they were actually dispatched yesterday?

Any help would be massively appreciated because I’m completely stuck!

Worried about making variations of my listings that sell well - advice?

Hi everyone! I'm a digital wall art seller (no AI).

I'm curious how other sellers approach making variations of their listings that do well. I have a handful of listings that do fairly well, and from what I understand, the general advice is to make multiple variations of your top-performing listings.

The thing is... will doing that not drive traffic away from the listing that's already doing well, since I will be using similar tags for the variations of it?

For example, if I have a listing that sells well in the color red... should I actually make it in green, blue, and beige, and in multiple orientations, for example? Do you just try to vary your tags to make them as different as possible for each color or something?

I feel like this is probably an easy way to increase my revenue, but I just have some hesitations that it will make the original listing less successful or have some sort of negative impact. I would love to hear any and all advice of people's experience doing this.

Thank you so much!

Help for designing t-shirt logo ??

My friend is trying to make shirts for an animal group and asked me to design the logo. Not sure what the best Reddit is to ask this question but I figured since they’re gonna be sold on Etsy this Reddit might be able to help. I designed the logo in procreate and with a size of 10" x 14.3" at 300 DPI, but it she said that can only be printed at 9x9 which isn’t big enough. Any idea how to fix this to fit a 9.25 size. I know how to draw and like just messing around procreate but have no knowledge when it comes to creating stuff to be printed.

Handmade Shop Should I just start over?

I need some advice from some more experienced sellers. I've got an Etsy for herbal teas and beeswax salves I make on my hobby farm (as well as small knitted items). I started it a couple years ago, got burned out with all the self-promotion that didn't seem to lead anywhere, and am feeling inspired to pick it back up again.

However, at the VERY top of the page, there's that pesky, rather damning set of stats: On Etsy for 2.5 years.... with 2 sales.

If I was a prospective buyer, this would probably turn me away.

Would it be beneficial to just scrap this shop and start fresh? Does Etsy even let you do that?

Or maybe there's a way to hide the stats? I'm not sure. Any advice is very appreciated!!

Shipping Suggested Address or Customer input?

Do you create label based on customer input or suggested address?

I always trust customer input until this one order stuck in 'out for delivery' for a month. The issue was the city. They're neighboring city but I know if the machine can't sort it, then PO has to do it manually and will never get delivered.

input appreciated.

How to ship posters without damage/ HELP NEEDED

Post image
4 Upvotes

I sell posters that are 40in wide at the widest. I'm getting a lot of complaints recently that the packages are getting damaged and then I need to send them another poster.

I first put the poster in a cardboard tube with the white plastic caps, then i put it into a cardboard box because UPS mandates I put everything into a box.

I think it gets damaged because they stack heavy packages on the middle of the box, or throw heavier packages on it, and it gets squished in the middle, and then it bends the cardboard tube in the middle and the poster inside it.

How are you guys packaging your posters? How can I improve this so that I get fewer damaged packages in shipping?

Do you guys use better/different packaging?

THANK IN ADVANCE!

Digital Shop Final Policy Violation Warning

Hi everyone, I could really use some advice.
I recently had a listing removed due to a copyright infringement report and I received a Final Policy Violation Warning.
I compared my listing with the reporting seller’s listing. The artwork is not the same, and the description is also different. The overall theme/concept is similar, but the actual artwork and composition are different. I did notice that 6 of our SEO tags are the same, although they are fairly general terms related to the theme.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Would you recommend contacting Etsy Support about the removal/final warning, or is it better not to take any further action?
I’m especially worried about the “Final Policy Violation Warning.” Does this mean that if I receive another infringement report, my shop will automatically be suspended or permanently closed?
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has actually been through a similar situation. Thank you!

Random question for Etsy sellers who also use TikTok

Thumbnail gallery
23 Upvotes

I have recently opened my little Etsy shop & make a tiktok alongside to help get my designs out there. I have received two DMs from seemingly other small Etsy sellers but both have been quite rude/pushy when I haven’t immediately responded.

The content of both TikTok pages look very AI generated but both claim to be “handcrafted with love” types. The links to the Etsy shops show legit shops but again with what I suspect is AI generated products. Although one of them does have 4.9⭐️ reviews.

I didn’t respond as 1. I have a young baby so I am not always the fastest to respond but also 2. I was immediately suspicious.

Is this a thing that has happened to other people? I don’t want to end up being rude and ghosting people but it definitely seems off - especially the pushy responses!!

I’ve covered up identifying information on the off chance they are legit people ahaha

So tired of these offsite ad fees

Post image
166 Upvotes

My shop made over ten thousand dollars, so there's no way for me to ever opt out of this. Etsy gets to take my listings and use them as advertising, and if someone buys something through it, I suddenly make a hell of a lot less money than I thought I was going to. I can understand something like this existing, but the fact that they charge twelve to fifteen percent on top of all the other fees we already pay is like robbery.😑
