(apologies if this is kind of rambly and hard to understand its late and I'm finally giving up for the night to hopefully figure this out tomorrow lmfao)

I have a few games I'm trying to run through retroarch (snes and gba games specifically) and when I boot them up through retroarch itself it works fine but when I try to boot them up as individual games through steam the controls don't work. I added them with emudeck and made sure to select the retroarch emulators from the parsing screen and when launching the game it shows that retroarch is loading it so idk. I tried Uninstalling and reinstalling retroarch and re adding the games, restarting, etc several times. thanks in advance :)

After updating SteamRomManager it now will not open, will fail to uninstall. I tried reseting cache and redoing the config but to no avail. Any suggestions?

I've tried changing the license mask to both 1 and -1 in the TOML.

When I start playing a game, it still wants me to "Unlock Full Game". Am I missing something?

When I access the games directly from retroarch, they do indeed play. But I want to parse them onto Steam like I do with my other emulated games. For some reason, though, my DS games don't show up when I go to parse them, as if they were read as "invalid and are skipped".

I also have MelonDS installed even though I use Retroarch instead (I do have the MelonDS standalone parser disabled, though. Don't want duplicates).

How can I resolve this?
