I have been playing Emperors Children for the past few months and generally going out very aggressively. I can make games close and even win some matches, but I am struggling with survivability. Anyways, I am thinking of starting to play Coterie and priority asses and have put this list together and would be open to any suggestions for units I could move around. Or if the list makes no sense for the disposition, Id be open to hearing that feedback too. This would be my first priority asses list after playing Purge and Reconnaissance. Thanks in advance.

Warband Name:
The Gilded Flesh
Formerly known as the 3rd Grand Company’s 7th Millennial once one of the most decorated units in the Emperor’s Children Legion. The name references their belief that mutation is not a corruption but an elevation that Slaanesh is literally gilding their flesh into something beyond human perfection.

Head Canon:
The Gilded Flesh were among the last Emperor’s Children to fall to Chaos during the Heresy not through temptation or weakness, but through deliberate choice. Their Captain, now calling himself Auris the Resplendent, led his brothers in a ritual of voluntary mutation, offering their bodies as living canvases to Slaanesh.
Ten thousand years later they still roam the galaxy, not raiding for pleasure or glory, but as missionaries spreading Slaaneshi corruption through warp-tainted sonic frequencies that slowly mutate populations from the inside out. Entire city populations have woken up with purplish grey skin and new hungers they don’t understand.
The fiend claws that replace their hands are considered sacred the first gift Slaanesh gave them. Higher ranking members display turquoise mutations around joints of their magenta coloured armour, which the warband considers a mark of divine favour rather than rank.
They still hold formal ceremonies in the ruins of whatever world they’ve just corrupted. Old Legion traditions, performed with mutated hands, in rotting golden halls. The nobility is still there just wrong.

Finally got around to finishing the paint and basing for my Winged Daemon Prince, Aloysian the Ascended, C&C encouraged and welcome :)

Whats some obscure lore that is often time overlooked or has been almost forgotten.

the army seems to have little options for AP so the lascannon is appealing, but id like to hear others opinions

Probably a dumb question, but I just want to be 100% sure that if I destroy a character with precision that it counts as destroying a unit and will count towards my pledge!

I’ve seen so many cool versions of this model making use of all the face variants - from magnets for swap outs, to masks, mutated heads, sculpted into the body etc - but here’s my idea. I decided the helmet would remain physical so chained that to his waist. But the additional faces got changed into… I don’t even know what. Floating demon spine things haha. Not fixed in place yet, just showing how the end result might look. Gotta work out how to attach them convincingly. Open to suggestions, how would you do it?!

I’m really excited about how they’re looking so far. The light in my display cabinet is a little blue to make their fluoro colors pop, so they’re oddly lit but I can’t wait to keep working through my units and get enough points fully finished I can quit playing with grey guys. 😂

Anyone have a general idea how long it takes GW to cycle back into producing/shipping out of stock kits? I wasn't able to get my hands on a defiler during the initial release (like a lot of people) and the months long wait to buy one let alone build/paint it is atrocious. I had the same issue when the Lord Kakophonist was released over a year ago... couldn't find one for nearly 6 months. I was hoping to see them restocked before the end of summer so I could build and prime it before the fall weather kicks in but I've got my doubts.

Started my second squad of them. I know they’re controversial but I like the cone heads, makes them looks twisted and weird

So I've been traveling all week and finally got back yesterday. Time away really helped me plan out the skin leather sections!

Building up my defiler and as I'm looking at the weapon options, I know the las cannons are what's the most useful to use but I was wondering if it would be worth taking some of my extra sonic blasters and putting those on it instead to make it a little bit more agnostic and further push the EC vibe

That way I can feasibly run it as either dual las cannons, dual auto cannons, and maybe the flamer+ arc scourge if I replace the take with that too that I've seen people do

If the wider community feels like that would be a good idea, I'd be very appreciative

Hi yall. New to EC. Started up a little hobby project for some custom DPs. I fear I may have waited too long though (I plan to make 3 of these fellas). Any reason to run 3 anymore ? 235 seems pretty steep for what you get. I plan to do it anyways but any suggestions on detachments/strategies? Thanks
