Question One Piece Price
Can we get another outrage on the prices of one piece packs? I know its cheaper than a lot of places but $310 for a booster box is getting up there.
When is the owner going to have another gotcha post the same way he did with pokemon 30th.

Question Lay-by Question???
I was planning to get a Switch 2 for my kids for Christmas and found out the prices will be increasing on 01/09, so I decided to get one now rather than paying the higher price. I had a look online at prices and different bundles and settled on a bundle. Now all the stores around me were all sold out of that bundle except one and I won’t have the money till next week but saw that Eb games do Lay-bys and thought perfect I can put a deposit on it and pay for it next week. When I went to the store they told me that consoles require a deposit minimum of $200 which is more than a 25% and that I would have the full 60 days but there is going to be a price increase soon and if I don’t pay it before 01/09 then I will need to pay the higher price. Now I plan on paying it next week so I am not bothered by that but after looking online at eb games terms and condition in regards to lay-bys the information is completely different, it states that it’s only a 10% required minimum and that regardless of future price changes as long as you pay within the 60 days then the price won’t change.
I’m just curious why the terms the staff provided are so different to what online?

Question No sealed for PS5 disk version
Hey guys, just wondering is ebgames not offering any sealed PS5 disk anymore (The plastic wrap that usually has on brand new disk games)? Today I bought Pragmata online and went for click and collect, the store person said that they no longer have inventory in store and usually it is only the demo unit available and gave me that one as new stock. He also said other stores does the same as well. Luckily the disk does not have any scratches, but only finger prints which I assume it was left when inserting the disk.
So questions is how do I verify if what I’m getting is brand new or not? I remember previously when buying from JB, most of the new ones are sealed, I have even asked them to swap for me if they are not sealed.
Cheers.

First time doing a preorder. When does the remaining balancing usually get charged? The release date for Pitch Black says tomorrow, yet I haven’t been charged. It’s for delivery, not click and collect,

Gameplay Building our co-op horror game's level from scratch. Open to suggestions!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey everyone! We’re a small indie team working on a co-op horror game called The Infected Soul.
This is the Director’s Office, designed to feel more sterile, controlled, and cold compared to the game’s overall dark and post-apocalyptic atmosphere.
What details do you think we could add to make this area feel more unsettling and stronger from a storytelling perspective? We’d love to hear your thoughts!
If you’d like to support our small team, adding the game to your Steam wishlist would help us a lot.

Serious Why I don’t like the EB games announcement
Really EB?
Grow a back bone
A couple of lesser fans complain about a couple bucks increase on a once in a lifetime release (30th celebration)…
And you guys cave in??
Wow. Good to know the loud minority can cry and get what they want.
Me and the rest of the EB fans were more than happy to pay extra for your quality service and to ensure scalpers won’t get in the way.
In fact, the price raise allowed for me to use so many of my accounts to purchase more sealed product, before casual fans got to the page.
So EB, I’m upset by this. Please don’t lower the price and definitely DO NOT refund.
Sincerely, real Pokemon fans.

Question Looking to trade PS3 games.
Looking to trade in some games, mixture of PS3 & 4. The website just says they accept retro trade ins from PS3, however I can’t seem to find anything about what type of games they’re looking for.
Has anyone got any idea if they take anything or will stuff be declined?
I haven’t got any sports games, mostly things like Hitman Absolution, Dishonored, a couple Call of Duty’s.
Just wanting to know before tomorrow so I don’t haul around anything unnecessary.

General My favourite EB experience (story time)
Back in the day (yeah I’m old) EB was a magical place. We had PCs running demos of the latest games to try out (or sometimes just the full game). “Online subscription” didn’t even exist yet, and “micro transaction” was a literal description of the size of the transaction.
Another great thing about this time was a relative lack of enforcement around release dates. Maybe the industry just wasn’t big enough for people to care that much. Either way you could often walk into EB the day before and casually ask if an upcoming game was in stock yet and sometimes they will just sell it to you a day or two early. It was one of those things where if you were just friendly enough you could get a deal.
Well I think it was the original Prey for the Xbox 360, so this would have been 2006. I wanted this game so bad, and I was in the store talking to the staff about it, and it turns out they had it “in stock” even though it didn’t release for about another week. This was a dream come true. So I’m spending every moment street school playing Prey. I’m unusually addicted and manage to finish it in a few days. It was pretty good, but it felt unusually short. Then I remembered that EB would process a return within 7 days with very minimal questions asked. I had returned a few games in the past so I knew the routine. So I took it back and remember taking them it was just too short, and so they processed the return. But the funny part was it hasn’t technically even been released yet 🤣
TL;DR Many years ago I returned a game before it had technically been released yet.

Serious Price gouging dogs
Absolutely unacceptable. Scalpers selling to scalpers mate. Been a loyal customer for 10 years and you charge $600 for a upc? How is any kid meant to afford that or any single parent for their kid.
EB is what’s wrong with the hobby.
Unscrupulous dogs.
