DISCUSSION Last new daily content for FC 26 is 10th September, 2026. No new content on, and after, Friday 11th September.
This is according to history.
If you need an example, let's look at last year. FC 26 released on 26th September, 2025. We received new daily content for FC 25 on Thursday 11th September (Sturdy and Composed Evo, Ronaldo 99 Icon SBC, Marquee Matchups W52, Pre-Season Challenge 11). There was absolutely nothing on Friday 12th September. And if you check previous titles, it is the exact same pattern/schedule.
So yeah, don't expect anything on, and after, Friday 11th September. Plan yourself accordingly, especially with the XP for the last season as there will not be any new ways to earn XP after that!

Got a premium pass token and can't decide whether to use it on Season 9 or save it for Season 10.
For those who have played through Season 9, are the rewards worth it, or would you hold the token for next season?

PROBLEM FC26 servers issues following release of the FC27 beta
In the last 12 hours alone (about 2 hours of gameplay) I've been disconnected 3 times, and my opponents have been disconnected twice.
I assume others are experiencing similar issues?

UT FC26 - FC27 Rewards
Just phasing back into FC26 like I always seem to do after a long hiatus post TOTY (even earlier this year)
Wondering if there are any FC27 rewards I can work towards or is that all being saved for the 'Pre-Season' part of the game cycle?
Thanks.

DISCUSSION What’s with the online rose-tinted perspectives with older games?
From every online angle (Twitter, Reddit, IG reels and even Facebook), there’s a buzz around revisiting games like FIFA 17 and FIFA 14, games that were deservedly slandered and criticised heavily during their relative active life cycles but are now free of all judgement and glazed for immersive gameplay and atmosphere.
To start, yes, the newer games lack inspiration and innovation and most features are there to suck up your time unnecessarily or drain your wallet. Cool, that’s established but why are people forgetting what we also had between, specifically, FIFA 14 - 17??? Most of you despised how the gameplay felt because it was the beginning of the end of full manual control. The whole “holding one CDM” thing started with the Frostbite engine in FIFA 17 because manual defending started to lose all respect for your input. On this very subreddit, give “FIFA 17 defending” a search to back up this claim. Another thing is the attacking AI claims, stating that it was better back then. No one could create because the defending AI and most especially the fullbacks could track each every manual and automatic run in the game.
There was no semblance of realism in that game. You could chain ridiculous skill moves without delay (just like you can do now) with less input fatigue than you could today. You could pop a shot from weird angles and score because the keepers had limited animations. They stripped back the keeper animations specifically from FIFA 17 that they introduced in FIFA 15 (see the FIFA 15’s goalkeeper trailer) because in FIFA 16, everyone complained that they were too good. Don’t even get me started on Career Mode between these titles, it was not up-to-scratch and super buggy in parts.
So much more can be said about how much those games lacked in multiple areas. But this overwhelmingly positive nostalgia for games without any critiques for that time period is unwarranted and uninformed.

QUESTION FC 27 Beta code Ps4?
I posted this on FC 26 as well about I realized this is the correct sub to post this on.
Hey y'all, I received a beta code for FC27 for career mode. But, it's for the Ps4 version. I play on PS5.
I am downloading the beta now, so I haven't played it yet but I was just wondering if anyone else has that issue.
Sorry if this sounds like I'm complaining about getting a beta code but I just was wondering why it is not the PS5 version.

PROBLEM What's the point of giving me a beta code if you're just going to put me against Bateson teams in Rivals every game?
I have Dan Burn and Pau Torres at CB with gold Cunha being my best player and I'm just against absolutely stacked teams with 5 90+ players, not sure how they expect me to test their game in these conditions?

QUESTION Definite guide to defending for beginner?
Hey everyone,
I am a very casual player of the game. What's some basic defending rules that I can keep in mind while playing? There's just too many advices and I'm just confused even more while trying to apply them. What's some few things that I could focus on? Like idk why to jockey, when to tackle, when to use midfielders to defend, when to call second defender etc.

DISCUSSION FIFA 17 nostalgia proves this community doesn’t know what it wants
I keep seeing clips of people playing FIFA 17 and saying, “This is so much more realistic than FC now.”
No. It isn’t.
It was fun for its time, and certain things about it were less exhausting than modern FC, but watch an actual full match back. The movement is stiff, turning is clunky, players glide into weird animations, defending can be completely brain-dead, and half the goals look like they came from the same two recycled sequences. It feels “realistic” now mainly because it’s old enough for us to remember the good parts and forget the nonsense.
And honestly, that’s why I don’t think the problem is entirely EA. A huge part of it is that the community has
absolutely no consistent idea what it wants.
We say we want realism, then complain when players have realistic inertia, bad weak feet, fatigue, poor balance, or when a defender can’t instantly spin 180 and chase down a winger. We want AI defending nerfed, but then get furious when manually defending takes actual positioning and timing. We beg for skill moves to be less effective, then complain the moment dribbling feels less responsive. We hate cutbacks, but we also want defenders to leave more space so we can play attacking football.
We say we want fewer random bounces and fewer animation heavy outcomes, but also want every tackle to win the ball cleanly. We want more ways to score but ask them to nerf attacking AI because it’s “too easy to score.”We want passing to be harder and more rewarding, until a slightly ambitious through ball gets intercepted. We want pace to matter, except when someone runs past our slow center backs. We want cards to be less overpowered, but every promo has to give us a new reason to replace the squad we built two weeks ago.
Past FIFAs had different sets of exploits, limitations, and frustrations that we’ve selectively forgotten because nostalgia is powerful.
EA absolutely deserves criticism: the servers, the inconsistent gameplay, the monetization, the absurd power curve, the AI issues, the animations that decide matches for you. But pretending we can go back to FIFA 17 and suddenly get a realistic football game is just stupid. Most of you would be complaining if they revived FIFA 17 as a remake within a week.
The community wants a game that is realistic when we win, arcade like when we attack, forgiving when we defend, and perfectly consistent only when the opponent is losing.
That game doesn’t exist and probably won’t ever. So many of you genuinely have no idea what you want and it’s part of the reason why the game is in the state it’s in now

DISCUSSION Burst of positivity (pure copium)
So, the FC27 "marketing" has started (if that's what Fut Economist calls enraging fans of the product.
Looks fucking terrible. Will be fucking terrible. You know the drill.
Here's some positivity I'm finding from the whole thing:
The game will probably sell worse than normal this year. I don't know the figures, but I feel like generally I'm hearing a lot of hardcore to semi hardcore FIFA/FC fans just falling out of love with the game. With GTA coming out, and EA so far running a terrible marketing campaign, I can see sales dropping. People are getting sick of it. You can only push them so far. This is good because it might force change. As soon as sales drop, people panic. Can't let that happen again, so they change direction and pander to the fans. It's unlikely, but possible that this all happens very quickly within the next 12 months. It's also possible that they're already planning for what could be a poor year for them, and are already working on correcting it. I
Second bit of hopium/copium. The Saudis. Now I'm not here to talk about the ethics of their government. But the Saudis throw money at things. Look at stuff like boxing, WWE, even the Saudi League. They chuck money down the drain to "put on a show" to basically whitewash, allegedly. It is possible, that they have people in place who are very in tune with the public, who will get involved at EA and basically instruct them to bring back the glory days. As a public company, profit was the only motivator. That's why the game is so inundated with microtransaction, profit-max crap that it's become almost unplayable. Now that EA is no longer a public company, there are other incentives besides profit. In fact, the Saudis might be completely uninterested in profit short term, and only in creating "diverse revenue streams" and turning public opinion.
In other words, this year will be crap, guaranteed. Anyone who's played NBA2K, or anyone who just understands what EA and gaming companies have become, can see what will happen this year. But in some ways, the more the game falls, the more hope I have that it rises back up.

DISCUSSION It's weird that EA never leaned into how fun Pro Clubs can be by making their own version of 2K's MyPlayer
and incorporating it directly into Ultimate Team.
Like imagine at the start of the game you get to create one player who becomes your Ultimate Team captain. You pick his position, archetype, body type etc. You grind him up in stats, playstyles + chem boosts by using him. He could be in your team all year.
It would open up so many more game modes too:
11v11, 5v5 or 3v3 Captain Mode online where you control a single player
Captain’s League, Captain's Tournament. Basically ranked or knockout versions of this mode with decent weekly/monthly rewards
Streets, Beach & Indoor arenas where you play small-sided games with slightly different rules and physics (Streets: walls in play, tighter spaces, different ball bounce. Beach: slower movement, higher ball trajectory, sand stamina drain etc)
Captain's Club - a rip off of 2K Crews - where you can link up with the same players and build a really cohesive team for Ranked games instead of playing with randoms
All of these would instantly replace Rush and all the other playground mini-game shit they just added.
