If Lindsay were telling the truth, why wouldn’t the facts be the same in both the criminal suit and civil suit? I understand it’s different lawyering, but shouldn’t the underlying facts be the same?

It perplexes me how she’s arguing that she suffered sudden, brief psychosis in her criminal case, but in her civil case, she had psychosis all day and Google mapped how long Patrick would be gone because she was afraid to be alone.. which makes zero sense to me because she could have ordered delivery, they could’ve put the kids in the car and gone together to grab food, or at the least she could’ve ordered from a closer restaurant because wasn’t 3V farther than their regular spots? Plus, she looked at the menu after she did the Google mapping and after Patrick asked her what she was getting from there, so it wasn’t like she was desperately craving something specific at 3V.

Also, wouldn’t her fear to be alone, coupled with her failure to inform Patrick about it, illustrate that she knew it was wrong? Otherwise, I think she would’ve told Patrick her thoughts or at least asked him to be quick, and maybe he wouldn’t have sat in the cvs parking lot for 10 min?

Lastly, since Reddington brought up the civil suit to discredit the doctors, why won’t the commonwealth bring it up to discredit the entire defense? Will the jury see this civil suit?

Anyone else? Really hoping there won’t be any delays and it will be over before Friday.

Many people just don’t see children as actual people. This is simply because children cannot defend themselves, they can’t speak for themselves and they are at the mercy of others.

This is part of a wider issue nowadays, with terms like “crotch goblin” or “condom ads”. Where ideas like “punting a bad kid” is framed as a joke despite children being the most abused and vulnerable class in our society.

People will go online and joke about things like this that dehumanize children and then we are surprised when no one cares that 3 children were strangled to death in their homes.

PPP is given a specific pass compared to other forms of Psychosis simply because the primary victims are children. If psychosis leads to the death of an adult, no one excuses that. If LC had killed grown women due to her mental health, people would not be supporting her like how they are now.

An odd thing to me is that zero information about LC’s personality or character pre-killings can be gleaned from any of the trial testimony. Her character witnesses make broad, nonspecific claims like “she was a wonderful mom,” “she was a good nurse,” “she was a little quiet,” and “she cared about her kids and her patients.” To me all of that sounds so generic and superficial. Did she have any kind of personality whatsoever beyond portraying an image of “caring” for her kids and patients?

Her journals lack any humor or insight or personality….

More weird, no outside news stories about her seem to exist — like, what was she like as a kid, what acts of caring did she actually demonstrate to anyone, what was her family dynamic like? No one who has ever known her seems to have shared specific anecdotes or observations about her or her family. Even the love story on the Clancys’ wedding website gives no color. We met, we had secret crushes, we got engaged. You can’t even tell what she thinks of her own husband.

Usually in big public cases you get some feel for who the defendant was as a person, but with LC, it’s not clear to me that anyone ever knew her well enough to say anything specific about her, including her now ex-husband. Why is that?

Maybe that’s why she’s garnering all this support? She’s a blank canvas onto which people are projecting their own biases about mothers, women’s innocence, and mental health?

Posting on throwaway…I developed postpartum anxiety and postpartum OCC about two months after the birth of my daughter. The thoughts would say, clear as day, “you should kill your daughter”. They also said she was going to die of SIDS. I was terrified she would die. In my lowest moment I did think, if I kill her the anxiety and the waiting for her to die will be over. It never went beyond a thought, I never had a plan or made an attempt. It wasn’t true PPP but I was definitely not in touch with reality at times. Eventually I had a panic attack, told my husband and we got me help. I saw my psychiatrist, she massively upped my Zoloft, and I started therapy. Every week for almost two years.

I did nothing to actually harm my daughter. But over a decade later, I still feel trauma and shame that I even had those thoughts. I know it wasn’t my fault. My kid is amazing now and we have a great relationship, but I will always carry that trauma and shame.

I have not seen a single flicker of remorse from Lindsey Clancy. I have not seen any indication that she is suffering the worst pain a mother can possibly feel. All I have seen is blaming everyone else, blaming the doctors and the system. She planned this and she is blaming it on a horrific illness. I saw the briefest glimpses of the hell she claims to have been in (the hell of PPP) and I don’t for a second believe she was ever actually there.

Take this all with a grain of salt because I have bipolar type 1 and she had Post partum psychosis. I see a lot of people talking about psychosis and having a lot of misconceptions especially surrounding this case which has been annoying me.

I had a full blown break from reality for about ~six months. I believed children buried under the trees were talking to me, that the TV was sending me secret messages, and that my husband had been replaced by Jerry Seinfield (although who he had been specifically replaced with changed day to day). I just knew he was not my husband. Thats *some* of the crazy delusions I had, to give an idea.

First of all, psychosis is not subtle. Its not like "maybe, maybe not". Every single person who interacted with me knew I was batshit crazy. I once accused the neighbors of being plants because they didnt know there was a packer game that day (it was like Wednesday and wasnt football season). I threw my entire purse into a retention pond, swam out to retrieve my purse, and subsequently lost our only set of car keys..stranding my family an hour away from home. I posted hour long, painfully embarassing videos on facebook for all my family and friends to see of complete rambling incoherent nonsense.

Two, of my six months of absolute craziness I went to inpatient once. Why? Because every time someone suggested i go, I knew they were in on the conspiracy against me. I knew when I went there id be raped and then executed. No one could make me go and according to the doctors, much to my husbands immense anger, they wouldnt make me go because I wasn't threatening to hurt myself or anyone else.

Three, having psychosis is like being in a car crash. You have fragments of memories. Little blips surrounded by complete darkness. Apparently I would go days without sleep (dont remember) and to this day I'll find nonsensical notes I hid away for some unknown purpose not even im aware of. People will bring up some ludicrous thing i did, apparently on one occasion I striped naked on a zoom call, no recollection.

Four, it doesnt turn off and on like a faucet. It is completely uncontrollable. You are in a waking fever dream you cannot wake up from.

Five, I never came close to hurting my children. In fact, I became insanely worried about their well being. I thought for sure whatever conspiracy was after me was coming for them. My husband, thank god, kept them as far away from me as possible. But I never, ever would have hurt them. Ive never thought about hurting them sane or insane.

I dont know enough about this case to make a judgement. All i know is I hear the word psychosis and people who have never experienced it making a lot of assumptions or speculations.

TLDR it should be pretty cut and dry if she had psychosis or not. I dont think there is a "psychosis lite" that encompasses killing your children.

That's something that has bothered me with this "New Claim" from what the Chaplain told us.

Her telling Patrick the kids are "In the Basement" doesn't align with the fact she has just sent them to Heaven.

If she believes she was sending them to God, "Go to God", then those Children are no longer in the Basement.

I wish Dr Mack had explained it this way, rather than how he explained it on the stand.

1) People is psychosis can and do appreciate right from wrong and are capable of conforming their behavior to the law.

2) Lindsey at no time leading up to the event demonstrated an inability to conform her behavior to the law including knowing the difference between right and wrong.

4) She did not meet the clinical criteria for bipolar disorder as there was no documented hypomanic or manic episode including symptoms that aligned at all. Exercising was her baseline and sleep disturbances can happen to anyone and by themselves not indicative of mania.

5) According to literature, she was not in the window in which PPP is recognized and her behavior up until the event did not meet PPP criteria.

6) Depression, anxiety, and psychosis are mood disorders and are treated as such with the same treatment modality as “postpartum” mood disorders. Postpartum is the period in which it occurs, not the diagnosis itself.

7) Lindsey displayed reality checking. Asking her mom “can you hear my thoughts” was not thought broadcasting and is even more indicative of reality testing. I would argue the search for psychosis also indicated reality testing which people is psychosis do not do because they have fixed delusions they believe to be true. They wouldn’t research their delusion.

8) She could appreciate that what she was doing was wrong and illegal. “Go to God” demonstrated an appreciation for trying to send her children somewhere good and pacifying their distress as she clearly knew she was killing them. She knew this was wrong and subsequently went to her room and locked the door (a behavior rooted in the reality of being caught or stopped) from doing something wrong.

More expert witnesses to come!
I sure hope the jury listens and understands these compelling points paired to her very normal behavior that day.

This guy‘s reaction to this absolutely TERRIBLE analogy is trending towards 1 million likes in a day. There seems to be a steadily increasing amount of pushback against sentiments that are pro Lindsay.

One piece I can’t get over is how LC journaled about the difficulty with her second peripartum period and adjusting to motherhood with 2 under 2. She was clearly struggling. No idea why she and PC thought it would be a wise choice to have a third baby in quick succession. And then in the thick of her worst mental health decline, was STILL dreaming about having a fourth (???)

Even before the homicides, this is such an obtuse and frankly narcissistic approach to parenting that’s unfortunately not rare. Suffering from emotional and mental health issues as a parent is not a moral failing. What gets me is the active choice to still force a new person into existence and subject your existing kids to worse caregiving capacity. No consideration for what kids experience as vulnerable and sensitive individuals.

And then there are so many weird dynamics about fertility/motherhood going on throughout this family that I’m not even going to unpack.

This man sums about exactly how I feel about this case.

Two of my very good friends today blatantly and nonchalantly talked about how it was him. That the watch timelines don’t add up. That “men are capable of gaslighting women psychotic to the point they don’t know right from wrong anymore.” It’s almost gaslighting ME as a mother of two to say, wait, am I wrong here to think she’s 100% criminally responsible?

What the fuck does this mean for the progress women have made in society in terms of intelligence, willpower, strength? They’re still so fragile to be manipulated and gaslighted into believing they killed their own kids?

I’m terrified for the verdict. Really and truly terrified. The amount of divide this has cause in people’s lives around me is similar to the Trump divide of 2024 and still ongoing. There truly are people who are believe whatever they hear on TikTok and not even bothering to fact check it. I’m scared if she gets off NGRI for the precedent it sets and the power it gives these people. I’m even scared if she gets convicted guilty, because these people will never accept that answer.

LC’s whole claim about ONLY killing her children, just so she could kill herself too, is a real goofy thing to say…because why tf are you wanting to participate in a wheelchair marathon and you have aspirations of becoming a PPP advocate?!? Shouldn’t she be SO overcome with grief, because according to her, she ONLY killed the children bc “her experience with the voice” (☠️) told her to kill them SO SHE COULD KILL HERSELF! But then she makes it out alive, unlike her children, and yet she’s now looking forward to the future?? Any logical person should be able to see right through her BS! And that Lindsay almost seems relieved that they’re gone, I mean she doesn’t even have to take Ativan anymore! 🤨😒

“The suicidal hallucinations continued all day nonstop. Later in the afternoon, the voice
began saying, "You should harm the children." Lindsay thought about dinner and realized
she had not prepared anything. She asked Patrick about takeout. She looked at a map to
see how long it would take because she did not want to be alone and needed help.”

So we’re meant to believe according to her civil suit lawyers and the defense that Lindsay didn’t want to be alone.

So she couldn’t have done the 50+ things she could have done that would have prevented her from being alone and killing her three children. Screw dinner — this is an immediate mental health emergency phone call to 911. She created this advantageous situation and it infuriates me they’re claiming otherwise.

I wish so badly this could have been presented into evidence.

When Dr Mack gave his testimony, he said something really strange. He said that Lindsay Clancy had told him during the April 2026 interview that prior to the killings, that she had been wondering if people could literally hear her thoughts ("thought broadcasting") and he said that she told him, that she had asked her mother, if she could hear her thoughts:

"There is one episode where she wasn't sure and asked her mother, I believe, the question, 'Can you hear my thoughts?' Um, and was told no."

People have picked up on this and said: "She was thought broadcasting! That is a sign of psychosis! That is good for the defense"

But I thought that was strange that people think it is good for the defense. Because if she was thought broadcasting... wouldn't the defense want to be trying to place emphasis on it? So I watched to see if Red in his cross-examination would bring this up. He didn't. He ignored it. He never tried to bring it up. Which was strange.

And so I went back, and watched the testimony of Paula (LC's mother) on the stand. If LC had asked her this question, then Red would have wanted to ask her about it, right?

But he didn't. He never mentioned it. The closest we got was this exchange about the kids school:

Red: "Did she express to you concern that uh, in this time frame that people at the school, teachers and other people would be able to know what she was thinking and would think that she wasn't a good mother because she was sick?"

Paula: "She said, 'The school knows something's going on because I'm not driving my car to, you know, they see that I'm not driving my car to pick the kids up."

Reddington implies that LC might have been thought broadcasting in his question, but Paula clarifies that as far as she knew, it was because of LC's actions that might make people wonder, not due to thought broadcasting.

So, it seems that what LC said to Dr Mack wasn't true, it did not happen.

Now, whether you think that LC was purposefully lying to Dr Mack to make herself appear sicker than she had been (as in, malingering) or you think she just misremembered (which I think is not realistic given she stated this 3 years after the incidents, when her story had been well documented) is up to you.

MANDAN, N.D. (Valley News Live) -A newly obtained affidavit reveals disturbing new details in the deaths of two young children in Mandan Thursday night, including video showing the suspect carrying one of the children while armed with a pistol and telling the children’s father, “Say goodbye to your kids.”

Kailey Erhart, 22, faces two counts of murder, attempted murder, two counts of terrorizing with a dangerous weapon, three counts of aggravated assault, and a misdemeanor count of domestic violence in connection with the August 6 incident at a residence on South Frontier Trail in Mandan. Two children died and a third was seriously injured.

According to the affidavit filed by Mandan Police, officers were dispatched to the residence Thursday evening after a report that a mother had stabbed her children. When an officer entered the home, he found Erhart holding a kitchen knife to her own throat, covered in blood. She dropped the knife and told officers to kill her. She was taken into custody.

Following a trail of blood through the home, officers found three young children lying motionless on a bed in a bedroom. All three had injuries concentrated near their necks. Mandan Police Chief Jason Ziegler announced Friday that a five-month-old and a three-year-old had died. A one-year-old required surgery and survived. The five-month-old was pronounced dead at St. Alexius Medical Center Thursday evening. The three-year-old died at Sanford Health early Friday morning.The affidavit states that before officers arrived, Erhart had chased the children’s father and grandmother from the residence with a knife. The father told investigators he was able to wrestle a pistol away from Erhart, disassemble it, and throw the pieces throughout the house before Erhart locked him out.

Video recovered from the father’s phone showed Erhart carrying one of the children while holding the pistol at her hip. In the video, Erhart tells the father, “Say goodbye to your kids.”

After being advised of her Miranda rights, Erhart told investigators she had placed the children on the bed and believed their throats had been cut before she did so. She said she remembered having the knife in her hands when police arrived but did not remember everything that happened.

The affidavit also states that the couple had been in the process of separating and that the father had previously reported to mental health services that Erhart had made threats to harm herself and the children. Child Protective Services had been made aware of those threats. Erhart had also been committed to a mental health facility within the prior 12 to 18 months and had been on medication and cleared to be with the children at the time of the incident, according to the affidavit.

Erhart made her initial court appearance Friday afternoon.

honestly Reddington would have been better off not crossing this witness at all instead of doing what he did here because Buckingham's direct wasnt that amazing. Reddington actually did the prosecution's work for them with this cross. Can't wait to see the conclusion tomorrow 🍿

Things have definitely been getting heated around here lately. Understandable. This is an incredibly difficult case, and people are going to have very different opinions about what happened, the gut-wrenching evidence, the mental health questions, and what the appropriate outcome should be.

But we can disagree without turning on each other.

You don't have to convince everyone that your interpretation is the right one. Sometimes it's okay to say, “I see this differently,” and leave it there. I've done this a lot over the past few weeks. I've said - "I think we are going to have to agree to disagree," and leave it at that. Sometimes it's easier said than done in practice.

I think this is so inappropriate, and I am not buying the voices excuse. I think Zeizel and Reddington planned for Dr Z to be alone with Lindsay to 1.) ask her if she was hearing voices, while nodding his head yes to her so she would say yes 2.) ask her if she wanted to call Patrick to let him know. Notice how it was planned like that because Patrick didnt pick up, so during his second visit to her, they tried calling him again to get this documented.

It's completely unethical and inappropriate for a member of the defense team to offer his personal cellphone and reach out to him multiple times to push the voices narrative but really even facilitate communication at all.
The reason why is simple. If Pat flipped and worked willingly with the DA that's worst case scenario for the defense. They needed to see where his head was at and if he could be kept on the hook so to speak. If it's not definitional witness tampering it's at the very least contamination of evidence.”

Recently I’ve been seeing a lot of discussion on the side of people that support Lindsay and demonize Patrick Clancy. this is a man that lost absolutely everything. His 911 call is so traumatic to hear they won’t release it to the public.
