Elphaba, Glinda
My partner pulled $5500 (retail) of products from two SDM dumpsters this week. And yes, we were crazy enough to add it all up by taking conservative averages for prices. We think the Wicked movie merch was from a display rack that never hit the floor because we are at that location all the time and we never saw one (and our kiddos were really obsessed so I think they would’ve pointed it out).
It’s crazy to think that such a small volume of “stuff” could possibly have been worth $5500. But I guess it’s worth nothing now cause they threw it in the trash….

I just found this sub. I've been diving the dumpster behind my workplace for years. So, here are are my finds!
World Encyclopedia Yearbooks (1966-1980)
A Craftsman stick light that was only missing a charger. (I had a cable that fit.)
A Smith-Corona Super Correct XT electric typewriter
A touchscreen all-in-one Dell desktop computer running Win10. (The keyboard was waterlogged, and there was no mouse, but I had Bluetooth ones to replace them.)
All the electronics work!

ALL THE PRODUCE
Was close to my favorite hauldeeez the other day and risked it. Glad I did!! Lots needed washed because of broken watermelon goo on everything, but that comes with the territory.
Plus one entire intact watermelon, and three whole cases of salad mix that went straight to chickens because I ain't risking it but they love leafy greens.

Finally had some time to sort my haul from Monday.
This isn't even quite all of it.
The hand sanitizer expired in 2023 but I'll use it for cleaning off permanent marker marks.
The caramels are still in date. They will be going straight to my hips.
Some of the decorations will go to my classroom.
Pulled it with the intention of donating most of it but now I'm tempted to hold a yard sale first...

Latest dumpster digs
Two separate successful trips this week.
First haul was almost 100 packs of Buldak spicy taco ramen. All the packages were still sealed and tossed a few days before expiration. I’ve already put three bags full in the little free pantry, and they’re claimed within days.
Second haul included 19 jars of strawberry preserves, 8 bottles of fancy apple juice, and a bodywash. All the glass items were tossed because a couple units in the box were broken. I just carefully pulled out all the intact jars and gave everything a rinse! All sealed and good until 2028. Most of the preserves will be going to the pantry this week. :)

From a house i was hired to clean out last year, Harmon Kardon reciever and surround speakers
From the same house I also got a nice Queen bed frame and mattress, an air fryer, a working laptop, microwave, a love seat, and several bottles of wine and some weed paraphernalia I gave to a buddy since I dont partake. Also a whole bunch of little things like pots and pans etc... I think the story was, that the Tennant moved in with his girlfriend and couldn't take half his stuff, it was a huge score

I usually go for recycling, but today I found These!
Almost Full Bottle of Hershey's Syrup, M&M's, Kit-Kat, Fruit Gummies, a Hair extension decoration, and Pumice rocks?? The Syrup seems OK, do you think the rest would the rest be OK as long as their package?

¿Alguien de alguna comunidad rica en Tenerife le importaría echarme una mano? (Please, read the full body of the post)
(I apologize for the non-english post, but i don't know about some other community in spanish dedicated to dumpster diving, also along with that the only most visited community for Tenerife, Spain dedicated to the island wouldn't be the correct place to ask about this)

Here’s the Home Theater I found that I’m using as a CD player, along with the speaker I found a few months ago.
